General new features System requirements The dcument System requirements and recmmendatins fr Scania Diagns & Prgrammer, SDP3 has been updated with infrmatin n the fllwing: Micrsft.Net Framewrk must be installed. There is n lnger supprt fr Windws 7 32 bit. Fr mre infrmatin, see Ti Functin view By using the search bx at the tp f the windw yu can nw search directly in the functin view. Yu can chse t search in the Adjustment, Check r Calibratin tab. Trubleshting The flw fr defect reprts in SDP3 has been imprved t make it simpler t fllw. Instead f a guide in several steps, there is nw a simple dialgue bx. In the dialgue bx yu can select if yu want t save the defect reprt lcally r if yu want t send it via . T be able t send the defect reprt via yu must have Micrsft Outlk. Yu can chse t create a defect reprt fr a specific prduct individual r t make a general defect reprt. The dialgue bx fr defect reprts yu find in the Help menu. Nte: As frm SDP3 2.31, the dialgue bx is n lnger available fr use if yu are cnnected t a jb type.

4 Cmmunicatin trubleshting The dcument with instructins fr cmmunicatin errrs has been updated. Yu access the dcument via the Help menu. System specific news CUI Inftainment system Supprt fr resuming an interrupted dwnlad f sftware has been intrduced. COO Crdinatr The new guide Verifying switch mdules in the steering wheel checks that switch mdules in the steering wheel crrespnd t the versin accrding the vehicle s SOPS file. EMS Engine Management System Vehicles with the S8 engine cntrl unit have previusly lacked supprt fr Default setting f pwer take-ff adaptatin. This has nw been rectified. The Spark check guide has been remved fr vehicles f the P, G, R and S series with Eur 6 gas engine. As the supprt in SDP3 has been imprved, the guide tl is n lnger required. Instead, use the Electrical system view fr trubleshting. RES Rechargeable energy strage system Fr the sake f clarity and unifrmity, the term hybrid battery has been changed t prpulsin battery in all instances in SDP3. TMS Transmissin management system New parameters have be added t TMS2: Clutch mnitring Dwnhill speed cntrl with active predictin Reduced use f the clutch (new values)

5 After a prduct update f the transmissin management system, the Accelermeter adaptatin guide must always be run. It nw starts autmatically after an update f the cntrl unit. GMS Gearbx management system A functin guide which shws hw the pwer is transferred in the gearbx fr different gears in real time has been added. Yu can als see hw the gear shift frks mve and which sleeves are affected. The guide applies t the fllwing gearbxes: GRS905 GRS905R GRSO905 GRSO905R GRSO925 GRSO925R GRSO935 GRSO936R The guide als applies t the fllwing transmissin management systems: OPC4, OPC5 TMS1 TMS2 CMS Chassis management system A guide fr bleeding cntrl circuit 2 has been implemented. Circuits, I/Os and the functinal descriptin f differential lcks has been imprved. TSS/TSA Tag axle steering system Functin guides fr activating and deactivating service mde have been implemented.
