1 MARK S100 INSTRUCTIONS NanDrp One/One C NanDrp One/One C Printing Fr use with versin 1.4 f lcal cntrl sftware All Therm Scientific NanDrp One/One C instruments with versin 1.4 f lcal cntrl sftware can print reprts t a standard USB r Wi-Fi cnnected printer. If yu have upgraded the NanDrp One/One C lcal cntrl sftware frm an earlier versin t versin 1.4, yur NanDrp One/One C instrument will need t be cnnected t the Internet ver Wi-Fi r Ethernet t set up the printing functin fr the first time. Once cnnected, select the Print ptin frm the main menu f an experiment and fllw the instructins. When the DYMO LabelWriter 450 printer is cnnected, the instrument will nly print t the DYMO LabelWriter 450. In rder t user a regular printer, the DYMO LabelWriter 450 printer needs t be discnnected. I. SETTING UP A NEW PRINTER CONFIGURATION A. Setting up a netwrked printer T print data frm yur instrument t a netwrked printer, the NanDrp One/One C and printer need t be cnnected t the same netwrk. 1. Once in the NanDrp One/One C Print Functin (see Sectin II), tap the buttn Printer nt selected. If yu have already made a printer selectin and wish t change it, tap the name f the previus printer. 2. Select Manage printer and then Nearby Wi-Fi Printer. 3. Tap Scan fr Wi-Fi printers t view all printers n the same netwrk as the instrument. Alternately, yu can manually add a printer by selecting Manual Setup. Yu will need t btain the requisite printer infrmatin frm yur IT grup r netwrk administratr. 4. Tap the name f the printer t which yu wuld like t print. 5. If the driver fr yur printer is nt already installed, the instrument may autmatically search the internet fr the crrect driver. The instrument will need t be cnnected t the internet t dwnlad the crrect driver. Many printers frm the same printer manufacturer behave the same way. If yur printer mdel is nt fund in the list, yu can try selecting the clsest printer mdel. Setting up a Windws shared printer T print data frm yur instrument t a Windws shared printer, wrk with yur lcal IT grup r netwrk administratr t ensure the printer is shared thrugh yur Windws dmain. This can be helpful if yur printer des nt have native netwrk printing capabilities. Fr successful printing, the instrument and cmputer/printer will need t be cnnected t the same netwrk. 1. Once in the NanDrp One/One C Print Functin (see Sectin II), tap the buttn Printer nt selected. If yu have already made a printer selectin and wish t change it, tap the name f the previus printer. 2. Select Manage printer and then Windws Shared Printers. 3. Select the apprpriate Wrkgrup/Dmain/Cmputer and enter user authenticatin infrmatin if required. 4. Select the printer t which yu wuld like t print. 5. If the driver fr yur printer is nt already installed, the instrument may autmatically search the internet fr the crrect driver. Setting up a USB printer T print data frm yur instrument t a USB printer, the NanDrp One/One C and printer need t be cnnected via a USB cable. The researcher can use any f the three Type-A USB prts n the instrument t cnnect it t a printer. One prt is lcated n the frnt f the instrument and tw prts are lcated n the back. 1. Once in the NanDrp One/One C Print Functin (see Sectin II), tap the buttn Printer nt selected. If yu have already made a printer selectin and wish t change it, tap the name f the previus printer. 2. Select Manage Printer and then USB Printers. 3. Tap Scan fr USB Printers t ppulate a list f printers cnnected t the instrument via USB prt. 4. Printing individual spectrum data Spectrum and reprt data f individual measurements can be printed n separate pages. T d s: 1. While in the spectra view, tap a sample(s). Up t 5 samples can be selected. Alternatively, leave all samples unselected t print spectra data fr all samples. 2. Tap the Menu buttn in the tp left crner and tap Print. 3. A windw will appear asking whether yu want t print plts fr the selected measurements. Tap OK. 4. Cnfigure yur page and printer (see Sectin II.D n Dcument ptins). Yu can tap the gray checkmark at the bttm f the print preview t print nly selected spectra. Leaving them all unchecked will print all the spectra. Press the blue Print buttn. 5. The Print ptins windw will display allwing yu t change the number f cpies r page rder. Click OK. 6. Yu will then see an image shwing that the print jb has been sent. 6 NanDrp One/One C D. Dcument ptins The default dcument ptins have been ptimized fr data yu are printing and yur printer. If yu wish, yu can custmize the dcument ptins. Picture Size The size f the image printed n the paper. Page Orientatin The rientatin f the page may be set t Prtrait, Landscape, r Aut. The Aut setting will autmatically select the best rientatin fr the image. Page Margins Allws yu t select the amunt f white-space arund the brder f the page. Scale Allws yu t change the aspect rati if the printed cntent is nt the same aspect rati as yur page. Align Allws yu t select where n the page the image will be printed. Clr Allws yu t select clr r greyscale printing based n yur printer s capabilities. Printable area Allws yu t change hw the printed cntent is handled by the printer if the cntent is larger than the printer s printable area. Shw printable area margins Crps the print preview t shw hw the image will be printed.
