1 Frequency Respnse f a BJT CE Amplifier Run the experiment By clicking the arrw n the Tlbar. Chse values f C B & C C, C E & R C frm the crrespnding drp dwn menus. (Clicking the arrw n the right side f the drp dwn menu displays the chices.) Calculate the values f lwer cut-ff frequency (f L) and the mid-band gain and enter the values in the apprpriate bxes prvided. Drp Dwn Menus t chse C B & C C, C E & R C Page 1 Click Prceed buttn. The secnd page with the cmputed theretical values f f L and mid-band gain appears. Cmpare yur calculated values with the cmputed values.

2 Page 2 Click the buttn, Perfrm the Experiment. The experiment page appears and the experiment starts. A sine wave f amplitude mv is cnnected t the BJT input frm the Functin Generatr. The frequency f the sine wave is varied under prgram cntrl and the gain Vs frequency curve is pltted. 3 Once the experiment is cmpleted, the values f fl, fh and mid-band gain cmputed frm the experimental data are displayed in the windws prvided. Using the cursr, find ut the values f mid-band gain, fl and fh frm the A v vs Frequency plt. Cmpare these values with the cmputed experimental results. Please find belw the instructins regarding the use f cursrs. Cursrs T mve a cursr, bring the muse n tp f the cursr t be mved and hlding the left muse buttn pressed, drag the cursr t the desired psitin. In case the cursr is ut f range and is nt visible, press the buttn 'Reset Cursr'. This will bring the cursr t a psitin within the range. The input and utput wavefrms f the amplifier are als displayed. Click n the buttn change cmpnent values t chse anther set f CB & CC, CE and RC values. Repeat the abve steps. T view the graphs f different sets f cmpnent values tgether, press the buttn View all Graphs. Then the next page appears where all the graphs are pltted tgether. The cmpnent values and the values f mid-band gain, fl and fh fr each case are als displayed. Page 4- A V vs Frequency Plts fr different cmpnent values

4 Pressing Previus Page takes yu t the experiment page. Data files As the experiment is perfrmed, the measured data is stred in a text file. The links t dwnlad these files appear n the frnt panel. A separate file is created fr each set f cmpnent values chsen by the user. The user can dwnlad these files immediately in anther tab, by cpying this link in the address field f the new tab. T dwnlad these files later, stre these links in a text file. The files created while perfrming yur experiment will be available until the same experiment is perfrmed by anther user. While trying t pen the files, if warning message(s) cme, ignre them and press yes t cntinue. Nte Press STOP buttn n the experiment page r the abrt buttn n the tl bar t abrt the experiment. If desired yu can run the experiment again by clicking the arrw n the tl bar. Please clse the brwser windw after finishing the experiment, by clicking n the 'x' buttn at the extreme right end. Sme extra Instructins regarding Remte Cnnectins In case the server is lcked and the user has nt gt cntrl a few secnds after dwnlading the experiment page, the user shuld right click n the page and chse Request Cntrl f VI frm the menu (shwn belw) that appears. After 30 minutes, the remte panel cnnectin t the user is clsed autmatically. If the user wants t cntinue he/she can regain the cnnectin either by clicking the 'refresh' buttn n the current page r thrugh 'e-prayg'. If a secnd user lgs in and try t perfrm the same experiment while the first user is still perfrming the experiment, the first user will get a message: During this 10 minutes the secnd user will be able t bserve the experiment dne by the first user, but will nt be able t cntrl and will get a message as shwn belw:

5 After ten minutes, the first user will lse cntrl f the experiment and the secnd user will gain cntrl. The first user can still bserve the experiment being perfrmed by the secnd user. If the first user wishes t regain cntrl, he can d s by right clicking n the frnt panel and chsing Request Cntrl f VI frm the menu that appears. The first user will be able t regain cntrl after 10 minutes.
