The radi cmmunicatin takes place via a nn-exclusively available transmissin path, and is therefre nt suitable fr safety-related applicatins, such as emergency stp and emergency call. D nt shrten, extend r strip the antenna. Device can be damaged. Detailed technical knwledge btained in KNX training curses is a prerequisite t prper understanding. The functin f this device depends upn the sftware. Detailed infrmatin n ladable sftware and attainable functinality as well as the sftware itself can be btained frm the manufacturer s prduct database. Planning, installatin and cmmissining f the device are carried ut with the aid f KNX-certified sftware. 2 Radi Management System infrmatin By statute, the transmitting pwer, the receptin characteristics and the antenna cannt be changed. The range f a radi system frm the transmitter t the receiver depends n varius circumstances. The range f the system can be ptimised by selecting the ptimal installatin lcatin, taking int accunt the structural circumstances. Maintain a distance f at least 1 m between transmitter and receiver in rder t prevent vermdulatin f the receiver. Select the munting place s that the device will still be accessible fr maintenance purpses. Insert screws thrugh the fastening hles (4) and screw devices t surface. Cnnecting the device Insert bus cable (6) thrugh ne f the bushings (7) and cnnect t the device via terminal (5). i Lay antenna (3) as far as pssible frm bus cable and ther metallic parts. D nt rll up, shrten, extend r strip the antenna. 4.2 Cmmissining i Assignment, transfer and deletin f radi transmitters requires a 9 V blck battery. Planning the cnfiguratin Fr initial cmmissining, especially with a view t later expandability, it is advisable t plan and dcument the cnfiguratin in stages. Recrd the desired state based n the fllwing questins. Questin: Where will peratin be perfrmed? What will be perated? Hw will peratin be perfrmed? What will be used fr peratin? Example: living rm, ffice, hallway, entryway ceiling lamp, wall lamp, Venetian blind, rller shutter, exterir light, scene, All On/Off switching, switching and dimming, shrt/lng peratin f Venetian blind, hand transmitter rcker switch N. 3 right/left, mtin detectr, wall transmitter rcker switch N. 1 tp/bttm, universal transmitter, scene buttn i A radi transmitter can nly be saved nce. i A radi channel can be perated frm several radi transmitters. i A radi transmitter can perate several mre than ne KNX device by linking them in the KNX cnfiguratin with the same grup address. Parameterise channels accrding t requirements. Assign grup addresses accrding t KNX system. Lading the physical address and applicatin sftware The device is cnnected and ready fr peratin. The bus vltage is switched n. Press the Prgramming buttn (11). The prgramming LED (10) lights up. Assign physical address. The prgramming LED ges ut. Write the physical address n the device label. Lad the applicatin sftware int the device. Assigning the radi transmitter Cnnectin cmpartment is pened. The applicatin sftware is laded int the device. The radi channels are cnfigured. i The receptin range is reduced during assignment. The distance between the receiver and the radi transmitter is frm 0.5 m t 5 m. Cnnect 9 V blck battery t cnnectin clip (8). The channel display (13) lights up and indicates the current radi channel (figure 4). The display (13) shws the desired radi channel. Trigger a teach telegram n the desired radi transmitter (see instructins fr radi transmitter). Operate manually-perated transmitters until LE appears in the display (figure 6). Figure 6: Indicatin LE Learn Press the Enter (9) buttn briefly. The channel number flashes briefly in the display. The radi transmitter has been saved. i A channel can be perated frm several radi transmitters. i Cancel peratin: Press bth buttns n and (12) until the right-hand decimal pint ges ut in the display. i If all 100 memry slts are ccupies, the display shws OF (figure 7). 7 Radi Management i The right-hand decimal pint lights up additinally in the display (figure 5). Use the n / buttns (12) t select the desired new radi channel. The display (13) shws the radi channel. Trigger a teach telegram n the desired radi transmitter (see instructins fr radi transmitter). Operate manually-perated transmitters until the still-current radi channel flashes in the display. Press Enter buttn (9) fr apprx. 3 secnds. The new channel number flashes briefly in the display. The radi transmitter has been transferred. Cancel peratin: Press bth buttns n and (12) until the right-hand decimal pint ges ut in the display. Deleting individual radi transmitters f a radi channel Cnnectin cmpartment is pened. Cnnect 9 V blck battery t cnnectin clip (8). The channel display (13) lights up (figure 4). Press bth buttns n and (12) fr apprx. 10 secnds. The tw decimal pints light up additinally in the display (figure 8). Deletin mde is active. Operate manually-perated transmitters until the desired radi channel appears in the display (13). The display (13) shws the radi channel that will be deleted. Press Enter buttn (9) fr apprx. 3 secnds. The display (13) shws - - (figure 9). The radi transmitter is deleted frm the memry fr this radi channel. The transmitter has been deleted as sn as the number f the radi channel appears again in the display (13). i Cancel peratin: Press ne f the n r buttns (12). 7/10

The channel display (13) lights up (figure 4). Press bth buttns n and (12) fr apprx. 10 secnds. The tw decimal pints light up additinally in the display (figure 8). Deletin mde is active. Use the n / buttns (12) t select the desired radi channel in accrdance with the planned and prgrammed cnfiguratin. The display (13) shws the radi channel that will be deleted. Press Enter buttn (9) fr apprx. 3 secnds. CE (figure 10) appears n the display. All radi transmitters fr this radi channel have been deleted. Press Enter buttn (9) fr apprx. 15 secnds. AC (figure 11) appears n the display. All saved radi transmitters f all created radi channels will be deleted. When the deletin peratin is cmplete, 00 appears n the display. The device is in nrmal perating mde. 8/10
