2 2013 Raffle Quilt If you haven t picked up your raffle quilt tickets you can at the October Guild Meeting. It s time to SELL SELL SELL!!! Each packet has 20 raffle tickets and a picture of the quilt. Each year we ask our members to sell tickets or you may want to purchase them for yourself. You will be able to turn in money and pick up additional tickets at our meetings. Pam Hillabolt is in charge of the raffle ticket sales this year. She or Linda Smith will be available at the guild meetings to collect money, make additional tickets available, and collect any tickets you do not sell. Thank you for all you can do to help support the Eastern Polk Quilt Guild. Ticket prices are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The member whose name is first in the list each month is the coordinator for the refreshments that month. Please remember the responsibilities of the refreshment committee each month: 1) Supply the goodies. 2) Supply the paper and plastic utensils. 3) Clean up after. 4) Take garbage out. Dumpster is right outside the back door. It is important that each one of us remains committed to these small 2013 Saturday Sew Days 2014 Raffle Quilt It s time to start planning for the 2014 Raffle Quilt. If your group would like the pleasure of working on the 2014 Raffle Quilt please call Pam Hillabolt at or visit with her at the October Guild meeting. Saturday Sews are scheduled the first Saturday of the month. Please see the Program and Events calendar for the location at the church. Starting at 9 am, it is a day to get together and work on a project of your choice. Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a member of the guild to attend. Bring your lunch and join us. 4 COMMUNITY SERVICE QUILT BLITZ We want to thank you for all the fun and beautiful quilts we have received for Broadlawns Medical Center and Hawthorn Hill. To date we have received 124 quilts. We know the quilts are greatly appreciated. Now is the time to complete your donation quilts and bring them to the October Guild Meeting. For every quilt donated at the OCTOBER Guild Meeting, you can sign your name to the Community Service board TWICE!!! Remember, each person who worked on the quilt can sign the board! Community Service is a group project! If you have questions regarding our Community Service Project, please contact Pat Felderman at or Marsha Horner at Our thoughts and prayers go to Reni Nalevanko on the loss of her husband and Julie Young on the loss of her father in law. The craft show will be here before you know it. It s only a month away!!! Saturday, November 9th Gundel has been doing a great job, but she can t do it all by herself! Please call her at and volunteer to help out for a few hours at the show. Please bring your craft show items to the October Guild Meeting.
