You may have missed our cruise to Alaska - Quilt R & R at Sea, August 25 through September 1, 17, but you don t have to miss the machine specials. We will be taking BERNINA 350 machines for our cruisers to use and they will be considered classroom machines when we return with just 5 days sewing time on them. Reserve yours now for a great value. The Row by Row Experience - On the Go ends Tuesday, September 5, still plenty of time to travel to a new quilt shop or two and pick up a row. You have until October 31 to finish your quilt - quilted, bound and labeled using 8 collected row patterns to claim a prize. Go to to see the rows and some of the quilts. We have a winner, Melinda S. of Charlottesville, but to increase the fun, we will once again host a Viewers Choice from November 1 to November 15. So join the fun, finish your quilt and bring it in by November 1 to be hung for viewers choice. Remember row patterns and kits may not be purchased and/or mailed from September 6 to November 1. There will be a Show & Tell for this years Mystery Quilt - Treasure Hunt on Sunday, September 3, 1:00-3:30pm. We are planning a Mystery Quilt Project to begin in January 18. Just let us know if you are interested and we will keep you informed of the details. Additionally we have new Block of the Month and even a Block of the Day project arriving soon. These project allow you to work a little at a time to accomplish a beautiful quilt. The Albemarle MODERN Quilt Guild,, will continue to meet on the third Tuesday of the month, September, October 17, November 21 and December. Share in the fun, learning and inspiration. The American Sewing Guild, Neighborhood Chapter of Kids Sew Too will begin meeting at COTTONWOOD Saturdays, September 16, October 21, November 18 and December 16 from 10:00am to 12noon. If you have a young sewist, send them in for a morning of crafting fun, learning and community service. We will once again be participating in the Original Sewing & Quilt EXPO in Fredericksburg, VA. The show dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 5, 6 and 7, 17.
