2 Class Policies Please read and understand the following before registering for a class 1. Class fees must be paid IN FULL at the time of registration. You can register in person, by mail, or by phone. 2. If your class fee is paid BEFORE the day of the class, you get $5 off. If paid the day of the class, you will be charged the full amount. This is out of respect for our teachers so they know for sure that there will be students in their class. For you the student, it will reserve your spot and it also allows others who want to take the class and will show up the opportunity to attend. 3. Class fees are to be made out to the instructor. If paying for your class with a debit or credit card, there will be a $1.00 service charge to cover bank service fees. 4. Supply lists will be given at the time of registration. If one is not available at that time, you will be notified when it becomes available. 5. Class minimum is 3 students and space is reserved on a first-paid, first-serve basis. 6. Children or your guest cannot accompany you to class without paying the registration fee. 7. In order to keep class fees to a minimum, keep the lights on, and the roof over the store, we ask for your cooperation and purchase your class supplies at Janean s BERNINA. 8. Students are required to bring a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies to each class. 9. Each student must have a LEGAL copy of the pattern/book. 10. If help is needed in the selection of class materials, please do so prior to the start of class. 11. Class will start on time, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early and be set up and ready to start. 12. If you must bring your cell phone to class, please be considerate of others and put it on vibrate/silent prior to class. 13. All classes are open to all brands of regular sewing machines UNLESS otherwise noted by the Swiss flag icon. Those classes with the Swiss flag are for BERNINA machines only. With a focus on BERNINA DesignWorks Software techniques, learn ways the software can expand the creative uses of the CutWork, PaintWork and CrystalWork Tools. The zippered opening runs the entire length of the bag, making it easy to get in and out. 8 Judy Niemeyer Works in Progress Quilts 50 Shades of Threads This is a work in progress workshop to help you finish your Judy Niemeyer quilt you have started and don t know what to do next. Come and get some guidance and help in finishing your project. 9 T-Shirt Memory Quilt Graduations are only a few months away. But, there s plenty of time to preserve memories of the past by using those well-loved t- shirts to make a one-of-a kind quilt. Heart s Delight is Amanda Murphy s newest pattern designed for her new line of fabric called Carina. It is an elegant 64 x 92 Block-of-the-Month quilt designed to teach a wide variety of quilting skills, including machine applique. The first month you will bake a bargello heart, working progressively outward in the following 8 months. The 9 th month is devoted to assembly. In class we will practice techniques you can then use on your projects at home. Initial practice projects will be "sandwiches" of 12" - 14" squares of leftover fabrics or muslin nothing that you will be using as an actual quilt once your skills are mastered, you can move on to an actual quilt or throw. 15 Edge-to-Edge Quilting on your Embroidery Machine If you ve ever wanted to finish a quilt quickly, make a quilt completely on your own, or see what else you can do with your embroidery machine, then you ll love this technique. The Easy-Connect Quilting files and technique allow you to use your home embroidery machine to get quilting results like you d see from a long-arm quilter.
