3 Summer 2017 Class Schedule Tru3: Shapes with Letters In this lesson we ll use the Lettering Effects tools to shape words to fit into a heart. This technique is easy to customize with your own words and the finished design could be used on a pillow or in a frame. Tru3 required. Tuesday, June 13, 6-8 pm Embroidering Attention all Embroiderers! Spend the day and sew your own Anita Goodesign projects. Starting with the Drunkards Path project by Anita Goodesign, you will learn the techniques AND finish the project! Once a month we will embroider until the project is done. In September we will start the new project Shop Hop. After that, the participants will pick the next project. Students will need to own the embroideries they use. Using Windows Explorer, you can look for a key word or words or even a portion of a word. Search embroidery designs based on the number of colors, number of stitches and even the height or width of the design. The trick is knowing what to type into the search bar and how to narrow the search results. This lesson will help you become more familiar with your computer so you can find your embroidery designs quicker and easier than ever before. All Premier software welcome! 11 Tru3: A Lesson In Lace Freestanding lace is easy to create and can be created in any shape or size. Lace embroidery can be used to embellish towels and jeans, or create lightweight pockets for shirts and other wearable items. You can also create decorative doilies, pillows, table runners, ornaments, etc. Saturday, September 9, Beginners Sewing Learn all of the basics of sewing in this fun, simple class. Take the stress away from teaching yourself. This 12 hour class starts at the beginning where you will learn about fabrics and thread, how to thread your machine, and basic terminology. By the end of the sessions you will be comfortable at your machine and have a nice pair of pajamas too! Machine and supplies are required.
