2 BEGINNING SEWING BEGINNING SEWING WITH HOME DECOR This class is an introduction to basic sewing with an emphasis on Home Décor sewing. You will learn basic sewing skills such as reading pattern instructions, laying out pattern pieces, inserting a zipper, making and inserting cording and making buttonholes. Class project is three different decorator pillows. Four Sessions; 4 1/2 hours each. Half-hour break for lunch. INSTRUCTION FEE: $ Pattern included in class fee. BARBARA MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 9, 23 AND 30 CREATIVE SEWING CLASSES 10:00AM - 2:30 PM STITCHER S GARDEN TWO Beginning in September, this will be a 6-month class. It will include introducing a ruffle, rolled hem foot, circular attachment, pintuck foot, couching, fringe, twisted floss, bobbin work, twin needle and wing needles. Techniques taught include Madeira hem, fringe and braiding. This is a scrappy quilt so get those scraps out and ready. If you own a new machine, just want to learn new sewing techniques, or wonder what all those marvelous sewing machine feet can do, this class is for you. Open to all levels of sewers. Workbook purchase required (same workbook is used for the entire series). Fabric kit included in Class Fee. Class samples can be added to the workbook to create a great resource for future serger projects. One Session; 4 hours. With a few basic skills and a little know-how, you ll be serging like a pro. This class teaches you what you need to know to work with your serger. Skills covered: Threading, four thread overlock, three thread overlock, and rolled hem, maintenance and trouble shooting. One Session; 3 hours. You will bring your own machine and we will sew out one of the six projects on the workshop CD - Button Tip Towel. The six projects on the workshop CD highlight a variety of embroidery techniques from free motion quilting blocks to creating a small tile scene. 4 EMBROIDERY CLASSES TIS THE SEASON QUILT: MULTI HOOPING TECHNIQUES Claudia Dinnell's multiple hooping techniques are amazingly easy to do once you learn how. All of her patterns are done the same way with no template printing. Minimum hoop size needed is 6" x 10". Four sessions are planned for this class.
