2 CREATIVE SEWING CLUB 1 st Wednesday of every month, demonstration only to suit all makes and models of sewing and embroidery machines and overlockers, with notes provided on tips & techniques. Show & Tell & more. TWO SESSIONS: 9:30am 11:30am OR 1:00pm 3:00pm COST: $40.00 per year, giving you entitlements to in-store discounts. If you don t want to join the Club, just pay $5 each time you attend a demonstration...this casual attendance excludes the 10% discount off haberdashery. Last month we made continuous bias...here s the link: CLASSES FRIDAYS (9am-1pm) and SATURDAYS ( pm) with Adele- This is a hands-on class for BEGINNERS to ADVANCED Embroiderers, who wish to use their machine to its full capability. Adele has a wide range of projects on offer. OVERLOCKER CLUB - Third Thursday of the month 12noon pm - + $10 kit Here s your chance to use use your overlocker for more than just neatening seams. 17 th September 3 Glasses Cases using the Piping Foot and Flatlock or Wave Stitch. 15 th October Kids T-shirt using a standard overlocker or coverlock machine. 19 th November Christmas Stocking using flatlock or chain stitch quilting + optional rolled edge fringing. BASIC OVERLOCKER WORKSHOP with Robyn Thursday, 26 th November - 9am 3pm - $55. A hands-on workshop where you learn how to master your overlocker! In the morning we go through threading, general over locking techniques and what all the buttons and dials are for. In the afternoon we make a small bag using rolled hem, pintucks and gathering. 3 BEGINNERS FREE MOTION QUILTING CLASS with Rosie Thursday, 22 nd October 9am 1pm - $25. You don t have to stick to straight stitch quilting and in-theditch quilting...take this FUN class with Rosie and learn how easy it is to free motion your quilt...everything from basic stippling to droopy boobs with a bit of hokey-pokey thrown in, you ll enjoy every minute while taking your quilting to a whole new level! QUILT AS YOU GO WORKSHOP with Rosie - This class will be held early next year...it s where you can put all your free motion skills to use as you make a small quilt. LEAD LIGHT OR CELTIC WORK - with Rosie Thursday, 29 th October 9am 3pm - $35. DECORATIVE STITCH PANEL with Rosie Thursday, 5 th November 9am 1pm - $25 Learn more about your machine as you use decorative stitches to create a floral design on a panel that can be used as a cushion, wall hanging or quilt block. UFO DAY with Rosie Thursday, 3 rd December 9am 1pm - $25 Here s your chance to work on any of the projects you started in Rosie s Classes, but haven t completed... Geisha Girl, Designer Bag, Quilt as you go, Funky Fish...just let us know what you want to work on when you book in. CHILDREN S LEARN TO SEW CLASSES AGE LIMIT 10 YEARS 4 weeks pm - date to be advised. All fabric and thread supplied. Option 1 - $55 per week for 4 weeks includes the purchase of a new sewing machine to take home on completion of the course and full payment of $220. Option 2 - $25 per week (with own sewing machine) for 4 weeks. Learn threading, beginner sewing techniques and make a project. A $10 Deposit is required upon booking to receive the Requirements List and ensure your place. Any remaining fees are to be paid one week prior to class so we can let people know if the class has to be cancelled due to lack of numbers. A full refund will be provided in these circumstances if the class has been paid for in advance. Class fees cannot be transferred or refunded if you cancel a booking within this period (regrettably even in the case of illness) as we are committed to run the class for others who have already bought their supplies. Where kits are required for a Class, the Kits must be ordered and paid for in advance. No refund will be made for the kit if the class is cancelled due to lack of numbers. We will re-schedule the class so you can use the kit.
