1 CLASS LISTINGS TERM ONE QUINTESSENTIAL QUILTS Hello fellow quilters, UNIT 1/8 DEWAR STREET MORLEY WA 6062 (08) HELLO FELLOW QUILTERS!!! Welcome to the first term class listing for We are happy to announce we will be offering Saturday sewing days once a month starting Saturday February 16 th Sew and stitch to your hearts delight from 10:00am till 3:00 pm at a cost of $25.00 for the day. Come in and have a fun day sewing with a group of ladies, Jackie and Sue will be there to answer any questions. Susanne asked me to pass on to all the left handed quilters out there, that we are able to source left handed rulers to make your life easier. To quote Susanne it has made it so much easier to cut. Judith from Lubi-Lu quilting is our shop quilter. Judith quilts all my personal and shop quilts, and does a beautiful job every time. Drop off and pick up from the shop for a beautifully finished quilt. Include the binding and she will stitch that to the edges of your quilt for no extra cost. David from Bestway sewing center is offering a drop off and pick up service for having your sewing machines and overlockers serviced. He will pick up your machine on a Tuesday, service your machine and deliver back to the shop for pick up. David services all brands of machines. And services all my machines for me and does a great job. For that extra special quilt that needs custom quilting. We can offer the services of Margo Lukes also drop off and pick up from the shop. Call Margo on Recently I have been told by a few ladies that they have not received the class-listing when it has been posted, Susanne has suggested looking in your trash folder as a few of her posting ended up there instead of going to her in box. I know Sean sends out a test when adding new names to the mailing list and if they bounce the address is probably wrong. Please contact us and we will reenter you on the listing. Thank you everyone for all your support over the past 10½ years, we wouldn t be here without you all. The 50% off sale on Saturday was a great success so we now have the shelf space for all the new fabric as it arrives. The girls have been busy making the class samples for this term, and a lovely selection of classes will be on display on the walls in the next few days. Requirements for class will only be given out on payment of registration. Class fees are non-refundable. You may transfer to another class up until 7 days prior to scheduled class. After that we are committed to run the class so there are no transfers or credits. A credit will be give for classes cancelled due to lack of numbers. Have your sewing machine in good working order. Your own Rotary cutter, Board and Rulers are required for classes. Please purchase all class requirements prior to day of class. Please do not bring children or guests to a class. Please turn off your mobile or put on silent. Learn how to use your tools correctly and to stitch an accurate ¼ seam. This class covers the basics of cutting, stitching and re-squaring your blocks and will set you on the path to making many beautiful quilts in the future. Join Robyn for six lessons covering all the basics of needle turn appliqué. At the end of the six weeks you will have a beautiful appliquéd quilt top ready to be quilted, Robyn can also show you the basics of how to hand quilt your masterpiece. Beginners Machine Sampler (Beg) $ x 2 ½ hrs with Gayle Jones 9:30 12:00 Friday March 1st, 8th, 22nd,29th and April 5th & 12th. Join Gayle and over six weeks learn all the different techniques to make up the nine blocks in this lovely Sampler Quilt. You are sure to have some fun and a few laughs along the way. Broken Star (Beg) $ hrs with Sue Drill 9:30 3:00 Saturday March 2nd A great old favourite, a large lap quilt with a central star and pieced borders, that are cut from the main blocks as you sew. Colour placement gives this log cabin quilt it s very distinctive woven pattern. Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Nuances (Beg) $ hrs with Sue Drill 9:30 3:00 Saturday March 9th This quilt is a lot easier than it looks, as the fabrics do a lot of the work for you, the quilt top was made using only five fabrics it just look like a lot more as there are six shades in each fabric a bright and cheerful quilt for any teen Sewing machine with ¼ foot, Rotary cutter, Board & Finish your Beginners (Beg) $ x 5hrs with Sue Drill 9:30-3:00 Saturday November 9th A class that covers set-in triangles, corner triangles and borders. Bring along your Beginners Patchwork blocks and I will show you how to put them together into a quilt.

Or use a layer cake for the small cut with a coordinating fabric for the center and borders. You will have a new quilt in no time at all. Perfect Pinwheels (Beg-Int) $ hrs with Margo Lukes 9:30 3:00 Saturday March 23rd Join Margo to make this lovely interlocking pinwheels quilt. It looks so interesting. It would look lovely made from a range of coordinating fat ¼ s Pre-cutting and sewing is required prior to the class to get the best out of the class

Full size for a bed quilt or trim the striped Bali back to make it a Lap quilt. Bunny Love (Beg-Int) $ hrs with Sue Drill 9:30-3:00 Saturday April 6th I spotted this super cute bunny in a cross-stitch pattern, and decided to make the pattern into a Cot quilt but it just grew so he now has s super cute heart shaped nose. The stars just jump off the background fabric. Jackie used a Jelly Roll for the star points.
