You will learn how to place an embroidery design exactly where you want it, whether it is on a quilt block, shirt, towel or any other item you want to embroider on. 2 : The Basics: Have you tried or wanted to try free motion quilting? Are you not sure where to begin? Join Debbie for Free Motion Quilting: The Basics. Debbie will teach you about threads, batting, needles and just about everything else you will need to begin your free motion quilting adventure. Instructor: Debbie Van Fossen Dates: Saturday 7/28; Class Fee: $35.00 plus supplies : Beyond the Basics: : Beyond the Basics will take you to the next level of free motion quilting. This class will explore feathers, leaves, flowers and other designs for your quilts. Debbie will work with you to gain more confidence as you continue your free motion quilting adventure. Instructor: Debbie Van Fossen Dates: Monday s 7/23 & 7/30; 6 pm to 9pm OR Saturday 8/11; Class Fee: $35.00 plus supplies Skill Level: Intermediate Baby Lock Basics: This class is designed for all Baby Lock Sewing machines. You will learn how to maintain your new machine and learn the basic sewing features and how to use the different accessory feet. Dates: Wednesday 7/25; Class Fee: Free ($50.00 if machine purchased elsewhere) Grand Convergence: If you love Ricky Tims convergence quilts, you will love Grand Convergence. Think of it as convergence with a twist. It looks much harder than it is. You will have time to complete most of this project in class. Juanita will share tips and tricks for creating your own masterpiece. Instructor: Juanita Cairns Dates: Thursday 7/26 & 8/2; Class Fee: $30.00 plus supplies Skill Level: Intermediate Open Embroidery: This class is designed as an open class to start or work on an embroidery project of your choice. 3 Just Can t Cut It: Learn the basics of quilt making with Jeremy. This class allows you to make a quilt in any size you choose. By the end of class you will have completed your quilt top while learning proper quilting techniques. Dates: Monday 7/30, 8/6 & 8/13; OR Wednesday 8/1, 8/8 & 8/15; Class Fee: $40.00 plus supplies Quilt your Quilt with Embroidery: Let your embroidery machine do the quilting for you! In this class you will learn techniques for quilting your quilt with your embroidery machine. Dates: Wednesday 8/1; Class Fee: $35.00 plus supplies Flower Show Quilts: LAST CHANCE! Many of you have admired Juanita s beautiful Flower Show quilt. She has agreed to teach it one last time. She has many techniques to share with you to make your very own Flower Show quilt. Instructor: Juanita Cairns Dates: Monday 8/20 & 8/27; Class Fee: $30.00 plus supplies Skill Level: Intermediate Power Cutting: Power cutting Too will give you 8 methods for making half square triangle units, quarter square triangle units and 2 commonly used trapezoids. This is a process class. We will not be making a quilt. You may want to keep the completed blocks with the book for future reference. Dates: Wednesday 8/8; Class Fee: $25.00 plus supplies Color and Value: Color is important but value makes the quilt. In this class you will learn to view your fabric collection based on both value and color. You will make your own fabric color wheel, fun, easy and perfect to inspire your future quilts.
