5 Introduction The MaxRp110 remote NMEA 0183 data repeater wi simutaneousy dispay five sets of data on three digita dispays and two bar graphs. The MaxRp110 can dispay up to eight separate NMEA 0183 data sentences arriving on four different NMEA 0183 inputs. You can view NMEA data such as depth, wind speed/direction, GPS bearing and distance to waypoint, exhaust gas temperature, battery vots, etc. The MaxRp110 recognizes over 5,800 different NMEA sentences which can be dispayed in a variety of different formats. High and Low aarms can be set for each set of data. Dispay damping can be programmed for four of the eight input channes to average the readings and sow the speed at which the dispayed vaue can change. Separate scaing and end imits can be set for the two bar charts so you can zoom into the data range of interest. For exampe you can set a bar chart imit from 0.00 to to view NMEA battery vots or you coud zoom into the range of to if you wish. You can quicky switch between sixteen different sets of dispay configurations for each of the three digita dispays and the two bar charts using the front pane keys. Dispay configurations 1-6 have been factory pre-programmed to dispay some popuar NMEA data but can easiy be reprogrammed to show different NMEA data. The front pane keys are aso used to seect from five backight eves (incuding OFF). Backights can aso be externay switched ON/ OFF. A buit-in editor enabes you to set/change aarm eves and change dispay damping. Changes are automaticay saved to a nonvoatie memory. There are 19 different icons such as DEPTH, RPM, and SPEED Page 5

6 that you can dispay to hep you understand what data is being viewed. The figure beow shows a the icons that are avaiabe for your use. You have compete contro over which icons are dispayed on any of the 16 dispay configurations. The MaxRp110 is suppied with software that runs under Windows 98, WinXP, WinNT, Win2K and Vista to seect NMEA sentences, edit the dispay configurations, set high and ow aarms and dispay damping vaues. Settings can be quicky upoaded to the MaxRp110 using either a RS232 port or USB port (using the suppied seria to USB converter). The interna software can be updated via the internet to add additiona features as they become avaiabe. The MaxRp110 works on both 12 VDC and 24 VDC. Page 6
