INSTRUCTION MANUA This manua describes necessary points of caution when you use this product, incuding instaation, connection and basic maintenance procedures. POINTS OF CAUTION n POWER INPUT RATING & OPERATIONA RANGE Operationa range & power consumption: Chec the power rating for the unit with the specifications. AC ratings: Rating ±10%, 50 / 60 ±2 Hz, approx. 3VA DC ratings except 110V: Rating ±10%, approx. 2W (approx. 3W with Option /E2) 110V DC rating: V, approx. 2W n UNPUGGING THE UNIT Before you remove the unit from its base socet or mount it, turn off the power suppy and input signa for safety. n ENVIRONMENT Indoor use. When heavy dust or meta partices are present in the air, insta the unit inside proper housing with sufficient ventiation. Do not insta the unit where it is subjected to continuous vibration. Do not appy physica impact to the unit. Environmenta temperature must be within -5 to +60 C (23 to 10 F) with reative humidity within 30 to 90% RH in order to ensure adequate ife span and operation. n WIRING Do not insta cabes cose to noise sources (reay drive cabe, high frequency ine, etc.). Do not bind these cabes together with those in which noises are present. Do not insta them in the same duct. n AND... INSTAATION Detach the yeow camps ocated at the top and bottom of the unit for separating the body from the base socet. n DIN RAI MOUNTING Set the base socet such that its DIN rai adaptor is at the bottom. Position the upper hoo at the rear side of base socet on the DIN rai and push in the ower. When removing the socet, push down the DIN rai adaptor utiizing a screwdriver ( ) and pu. n WA MOUNTING Refer to the drawings beow. 6 SIMPE OOP TEST OUTPUT Option /E2 Simuated 0% and 100% output is avaiabe with Option /E2. Switch the oop Test Seector positions. Top position: 0% fixed Midde position: 100% fixed Bottom position: Cance the oop test mode (Bac to the norma operating mode) CHECING 1) Termina wiring: Chec that a cabes are correcty connected according to the connection diagram. 2) Power input votage: Chec votage across the termina 7 8 with a mutimeter. 3) Input: Chec that the input signa is within 0 100% of the fu-scae. ) Output: Chec that the oad resistance meets the described specifications. MAINTENANCE Reguar caibration procedure is expained beow: CAIBRATION Warm up the unit for at east 10 minutes. Appy 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% input signa. Chec that the output signa for the respective input signa remains within accuracy described in the data sheet. When the output is out of toerance, recaibrate the unit according to the ADJUST- MENT PROCEDURE expained earier. IGHTNING SURGE PROTECTION In order to protect the unit from ightning surges entering through signa and power suppy cabes, use of appropriate ightning surge protectors are recommended. Pease contact M-System. ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE This unit is caibrated at the factory to meet the ordered specifications, therefore you usuay do not need any caibration. For matching the signa to a receiving instrument or in case of reguar caibration, adjust the output as expained in the foowing. HOW TO CAIBRATE THE OUTPUT SIGNA Use a signa source and measuring instruments of sufficient accuracy eve.
