4 Visuaize Distance Eements Mho Circe Anaysis Anayze distance eement operation with the mho circe diagram. The mho circe diagram provides an impedance pane on which to pot apparent impedance and distance eement characteristics. Choose your zone. Quicky turn on and off each of the distance eement zones. Pinpoint the impedance. Drag the cursor throughout the event to see the apparent impedance. The yeow dot indicator shows you where the impedance is on the pane. See the mho characteristic move. 6 See Traveing Waves Advanced Faut Location Visuaization The SEL-T400L Time-Domain Line Protection and SEL-411L can record traveing-wave data in order to provide highy accurate faut ocating. synchrowave Event generates a Bewey attice diagram from the traveing-wave data to enabe visuaization, anaysis, and understanding of the traveing waves recorded for an event. 7 Identify the faut point. The faut ocation is represented by the vertica grey bar. From this point, traveing waves are aunched in each direction. Locate singe-ended fauts. Visuaize the puse propagation through the faut after refecting off a termina. The strength of throughfaut puses gives an indication of the faut strength when ony singe-ended faut data are avaiabe. The timing of a puse arriva after propagating through the faut enabes the adjustment of the wave propagation speed. Locate doube-ended fauts. Easiy import and coordinate traveing-wave event reports from SEL-T400L or SEL-411L Reays on both ends of the ine. Remove faut ocation ambiguity, and have more freedom when choosing which signas to use for compensation to the wave propagation speed.
