2 INTRODUCTION DESIGN SYSTEM OPTIONS INSTALLATION SOLUTIONS ORDERING Introduction to Zipine The Zipine is a sef-contained pre-wired trunking and LED ighting system offering unparaeed fexibiity in terms of ighting ayout and scheme design. The Zipine combines architectura impact, ongevity and supreme efficiency (167.2 LL/CW) providing the ighting designer with the perfect ighting soution for many buiding-wide appications. With five uminaire power options, broad, narrow and doube asymmetric ight distributions and a variety of accessories the Zipine is a truy versatie suspended or surface mounted ighting system. 2

The uminaire modues are designed to snap into sockets ocated at reguar intervas, ensuring a fast, fexibe instaation. 57mm 4

An extruded auminium trunking provides the backbone and contains wiring with sockets ocated at 750mm intervas for connecting a range of modues. The modues can be any combination of uminaire, emergency uminaire, spotight and passive infra-red detector. Where modues are not required an extruded PVC id is used to fi in bank spaces. Finay, a sma number of finishing components compete a fast and simpe instaation. 6 A B C D

7 A TRUNKING B LUMINAIRES C MODULE OPTIONS D FINISHING COMPONENTS Pre-wired engths up to 4.5m ong are joined together to form the required run. The factory instaed wiring ooms (7-core 1.5mm 2 PVC as standard) are simpy pugged together and provide eectrica connection sockets at 750mm intervas. Luminaire modues may be instaed continuousy, or with either 750mm or 1500mm spaces between them. Ebow, tee and crossover joints are used to continue the trunking run in a variety of directions. A uminaire modues are based on a standard ength of 1500mm. Options incude narrow, broad and doube asymmetric distributions, 5 output eves, conventionay switched and dimmabe circuit types or with integra Smart contros. Options incude a PIR modue for automatic contro (if required when Smart uminaire modues are not used), emergency ighting modues, and spotight modues. A modues are 750mm ong. Motionine Individua Thorux Smart uminaires are automaticay inked, via the trunking wiring, into a inear group using Motionine. Individua runs of trunking can be inked by connecting between ive end connectors see page 14. Movement Detection: 8m Max. Smart Luminaire Modue 6m dia. coverage at 8m mounting height NOTE: Minimum 750mm space required between Smart uminaire modues Option 2 For fu detais of the Thorux Smart System incuding movement detection and Motionine see 8 PIR Modue (750mm) A cost effective ighting contro soution, without the uxury features of a fu Smart System, PIR modues can be seected and simpy pugged in, to provide passive infra-red detection for each connected run. As many PIR modues as required for suitabe detection coverage can be fitted and the entire run wi be switched as a whoe group. Movement Detection: 5m Max. 9 Emergency Lighting Zipine offers the choice of either emergency versions of the uminaire or dedicated modues which utiise a reiabe, unobtrusive Scanight AT LED downight. The superb optica performance of the area and corridor ens minimises the number of modues required. Votage drop 29mV/A/m maximum current rating for the system and connectors is 8A. Maximum distance depends upon design parameters such as circuit fusing, earth oop impedance and oca reguations. A components within the system wi operate at a votage range of 220V-240V +/- 10%. Each modue section has an internay mounted, repaceabe 3A fuse.
