2 Fitting instructin Cntents General infrmatin Sita balcny utlet with cnnectin sleeve Sita balcny utlet with screw-n-flange Sita balcny utlet with balcny utlet grating... 8 General instructins When installing flat rf drainage elements, the fllwing regulatins, amngst thers, must be bserved: DIN EN , DIN , DIN , DIN 18531, DIN 18195, DIN 18234, flat rf guidelines Sme imprtant pints f these systems f rules are listed belw: Rf utlets are t be fitted at the lwest pint f a rf. In the case f steel trapeze prfile substructures, penetratins are t be reinfrced by a strengthening sheet. The basic bdy is t be jined with the substructure. A skewing f the extensin unit thrugh relative mvements f the rf cnstructin must be prevented (e.g. thrugh mechanical fixing f the unit). The flanges f the rf utlets and extensin units are t be installed Rf utlets must be freely accessible fr maintenance purpses. Rf utlets and the cnnected pipelines have t be prtected against "sweating", where apprpriate, with e.g. aluminium-cated rck wl. In the case f waterprfing seals f nly ne layer and/r lsely laid, then screw-n-flange jints must be installed with permanently cmpatible material f the same type as the waterprfing (r a suitable elastmer) fitted n bth sides. The blts f screw-n-flange jints must be checked and tightened at least three times during the curse f the fitting wrk, using a trque wrench. Rf utlets have t be serviced at least twice per year. 3

3 Fitting instructin 1. Sita balcny utlet with cnnectin sleeve 1.1 Munt the rf utlet t the prpsed rf sectin f the rf area. 1.2 The balcny utlet needs t be fixed mechanically in the substructure. Fr prtectin against cndensatin are the rf and balcny utlets and the cnnected pipe, if necessary, t be prtected. 1.3 Glue r weld the vapur barrier with the flange cnnectin r the cnnectin sleeve f the balcny utlet tgether. 1.4 Insert the angled sealing ring fr back flw resistance in the rf utlet bdy. 4

4 Fitting instructin 1.5 Apply the thermal insulatin and cut ut the shape f the extensin unit. 1.6 Trim the extensin unit if necessary, s that the flw-crss sectin with angled rf and balcny utlets will be preserved. Reap the angled sealing ring inside and the extensin element in the lwer area with the enclsed lubricant. Slide the extensin unit thrugh the angled sealing ring and fasten it mechanically t the substructure. 1.7 Glue r weld the rf waterprfing with the flange cnnectin r the cnnectin sleeve f the extensin unit tgether. 1.8 Put the dme grate frm abve int the extensin unit and engage it in the fixing ring. 5

Sita balcny utlet with screw-n-flange 2.1 Put the SitaCmpact screw-n-flange balcny utlet r the extensin unit in the existing rf cnstructin and screw it thrugh the plyurethane flange, utside f the flange, t the grund. 2.2 Screw the enclsed threaded pins int the, in the drain bdy fam embedded, threaded insert ring. 2.3 Lay the large cnnectin sleeve n the threaded studs n the drain bdy. In case f a bituminus sealing the bituminus membranes are welded directly t the drain bdy. 2.4 Set the psitin f the rf sheet abve the drain bdy. Use the small sealing sleeve as a template fr the hle pattern and the inlet funnel. Punch The hle pattern with a punch (ø6 mm) and cut ut the hle fr the inlet pt and place it ver the threaded pins n the sealing sleeve. By flanging several rfing membranes these always have t be lead up t the inlet pt. A seam verlap f the rf cvering in the flange area is nt allwed. 6

6 Fitting instructin 2.5 Lay the small sealing sleeve ver the threaded studs nt the seal. With a bituminus seal a sealing sleeve is nt prvided. The rf track have t be preheated befre flanging. 2.6 Lay the flange ver the threaded pins nt the sealing sleeve. Put the spring washers and hex nuts n the threaded pins and tighten diagnally with a maximum trque f 8 Nm. Accrding t DIN a lse- /thrust-flange cnstructin must be cntrlled and retrqued at least three times in a time curse f > 24 hurs. 2.7 The dme grate can nw be inserted int the flange. 7

Sita balcny utlet with balcny utlet grating 3.1 Plug the inlet filter grill f the SitaCmpact balcny utlet grating int the SitaCmpact balcny utlet r the SitaCmpact extensin unit. 3.2 Determine The height f the terrace flring. At heights lwer than 105 mm the balcny utlet grating needs t be shrtened. 3.3 At heights abve 105 mm the SitaHeight adjustment unit can be putted between the inlet filter grill and the balcny utlet grating. 3.4 Plug the balcny utlet grating int the intake f the inlet filter grill. 3.5 The terrace decking can be applied t the rf surface. 8
