3 General instructins When installing flat rf drainage elements, the fllwing regulatins, amngst thers, must be bserved: DIN EN , DIN , DIN , DIN 18531, DIN 18195, DIN 18234, flat rf guidelines Sme imprtant pints f these systems f rules are listed belw: Rf utlets are t be fitted at the lwest pint f a rf. In the case f steel trapeze prfile substructures, penetratins are t be reinfrced by a strengthening sheet. The basic bdy is t be jined with the substructure. A skewing f the extensin unit thrugh relative mvements f the rf cnstructin must be prevented (e.g. thrugh mechanical fixing f the unit). The flanges f the rf utlets and extensin units are t be installed Rf utlets must be freely accessible fr maintenance purpses. Rf utlets and the cnnected pipelines have t be prtected against "sweating", where apprpriate, with e.g. aluminium-cated rck wl. In the case f waterprfing seals f nly ne layer and/r lsely laid, then screw-n flange jints must be installed with permanently cmpatible material f the same type as the waterprfing (r a suitable elastmer) fitted n bth sides. The blts f screwed-n-flange jints must be checked and tightened at least three times during the curse f the fitting wrk, using a trque wrench. Rf utlets have t be serviced at least twice per year. 3

4 Especially with screw-n-flange utlets in general, the fllwing pints shuld be bserved and adhered: In case f a bituminus seal, the sealing sleeves are nt t be used. The fixed flange f the utlet bdy is t be pretreated with bitumen primer. The bitumen pave-track r tracks have t be welded directly n the fixed flange f the utlet bdy. Seam verlap in the flange area is nt allwed. Fleece-clad rf sheets shuld nt be cnnected by a flange (capillary effect). Befre sealing the flange the sealing tracks have t be preheated. Lse-laid waterprfing layers and screw-n-flange cnnectins must be prtected n bth sides with tlerable supplements r with material cmpatible elastmers The cmpatibility f the delivery f rf utlets r extensin units with their belnging sealing sleeves t the rfing material shuld be examined independently. If necessary the sealing sleeves have t be replaced by the rfing material. Screw-n-flange cnnectins must be attract with a trque wrench during the assembly time at least three times, timing > 24 hurs. 4

5 1.. SitaStandard SitaTrendy - SitaDSS Prfi rf utlet with extensin element 1.1 Lcate the psitin fr the rf utlet hle (ø 250 mm) at the lwest pint f the rf cnstructin. In the case f steel trapeze prfiles, care must be taken that wrked area des nt later suffer frm crrsin. 1.2 In the case f steel trapeze prfiles, care must be taken that wrked area des nt later suffer frm crrsin. 1.3 The rf utlet is t be put int the hle in the rf and mechanically fixed. 1.4 The vapur barrier is t be fitted t the flange r cnnecting sleeve, by means f adhesive r welding. 1.5 The angled sealing ring fr stemmed water safety is t be placed int the utlet s that the upper lip flatly verlaps the cllar edge. 1.6 Fit the thermal insulatin and cut ut the utline f the extensin unit. 5

6 1.7 Shrten the extensin element where apprpriate in such a way that the utlet crsssectin in the case f angled rf utlets is preserved. Apply attached lubricant medium t the lwer parts f the angled sealing ring and the extensin unit. 1.8 Push the extensin element thrugh the angled sealing ring in the rf utlet. The extensin element must at least be flush with the lwer edge f the angled sealing ring. Fix the extensin element mechanically in the substructure. 1.9 The rf waterprfing is t be fitted t the flange r cnnecting sleeve, by means f adhesive r welding. Attentin: The fllwing pint 1.10 is valid fr the series SitaStandard and SitaTrendy. Fr SitaDSS Prfi and SitaDSS Prfi with screw-n flange see SitaAirstp fr SitaDSS Prfi Allw the dme grate t engage frm abve in the fixating ring f the extensin unit. 6

7 2. SitaTrendy screw-n n-flange - SitaDSS Prfi screw-n n-flange 2.1 Place the screw-n-flange rf utlet r the extensin unit in the existing rf cnstructin, and screw it tgether with surface in the prepared vertical hle. Attentin: The cmpatibility f the rfing material with the rf utlet s and/r extensin unit s sealing sleeve which may have been delivered with the prduct, must be checked and if necessary crrected. 2.2 Lay the large sealing sleeve centrally n the rf utlet bdy. In the case f a bituminus waterprfing layer, this is t be welded directly t the utlet bdy. 2.3 Rll ut the waterprfing curse ver the rf utlet, and cut ut the middle f this (ø apprx. 150 mm). If a number f curses have t be flanged in, then these are always t be led up t the drain entrance. A cvering ver f the waterprfing curses in the area f the flange is nt allwed. 2.4 Lay the small sealing sleeve centrally n the rf utlet bdy. 7

8 The sealing sleeve and the rf waterprfing curses are t be warmed befre the flanging in. Place the aluminium lse flange in its preferred psitin. The hles in the drain bdy are necessary fr prductin purpses. One in the insertin ring which is built int the drain bdy achieves the impermeability in every psitin f the lse flange. 2.5 Tighten the cuntersunk head screws which were cntained in the set with a pwer screwdriver in a unifrm ppsing pattern with a maximum trque f 9 Nm. Accrding t the German standard DIN 18195, the screws f a lse/fixed flange are t be checked and tightened at least three times, after perids f mre than 24 hurs each. Allw the dme grate t engage frm abve in the screw flange. Attentin: The assembly f the dme grate is valid fr the series SitaTrendy screw-n-flange. Fr SitaDSS Prfi screw-n-flange see SitaAirstp fr SitaDSS Prfi 3. Sita terrace installatin kit 3.1 The waterprfed rf area with built-in Sita rf utlet. 3.2 A prtective layer shuld be applied t the waterprfing, up t the drain entrance. 8

9 3.3 Fit the Sita terrace kit in the rf utlet r the extensin element. The height f the terrace kit is adjusted thrugh turns f the height adjustment ring, as well as thrugh mving the husing in the height adjustment ring. The terrace kit may nt be tightly cnnected with the utlet bdy in rder t maintain the mbility f the parts themselves. 3.4 The accessible cvering can be fitted t the upper edge f the terrace installtin kit r slightly increased. 4. SitaAirstp fr SitaDSS Prfi 4.1 Place the SitaAirstp in the U-shaped grve f the fastening ring. Cat the utside f the ring with lubricant. 4.2 Place the SitaAirstp centrally ver the SitaDSS Prfi rf utlet r place the extensin element and push it fully int the drain bdy. 9

10 4.3 Press the stainless steel screw thrugh the central hle f the dme grate, and screw it int the hle in the middle f the SitaAirstp. 5. SitaMulti and SitaDSS Multi with extensin element/base plate Attentin: The pints presented belw may be cnsidered as being valid fr bth the SitaMulti base plate and als fr the SitaMulti extensin unit. 5.1 Lcate the psitin fr the hle (ø 250 mm) fr the rf utlet at the lwest pint f the rf and cut it ut. In the case f steel trapeze prfile rfing, a reinfrcement sheet is t be attached t the rfing accrding t DIN EN Place the SitaMulti rf utlet in reinfrced hle and screw it t the subsurface. 10

11 Attentin: The suitability f the sealing sleeve which is delivered with the rf utlet and/r extensin element is t be checked fr cmpatibility with rfing material, and if necessary t be changed. 5.3 Lay the big sealing sleeve ver the threaded pins f the fixed flange f the SitaMulti. D nt use the sealing sleeve in the case f a bituminus rfing material. Weld the rfing material directly t the fixed flange. 5.4 Determine the psitin f the SitaMulti in the vapur barrier. Use the secnd sealing sleeve as a template fr the hle pattern f the threaded pins f the SitaMulti. Lay it n the rf surface and mark the hle pattern. Punch ut the pattern (hllw punch with a diameter f 13mm) and place the vapur barrier ver the threaded pins nt the sealing sleeve. Cut ut the rfing material inside the diameter f the utlet pt. An verlapping in the area f the flange is nt permissible. 5.5 Lay the small sealing sleeve ver the threaded pins nt the rfing material. D nt use the sealing sleeve in the case f a bituminus rfing material. 5.6 The sealing sleeve and the vapur barrier are t be warmed befre flanging. Lay the lse flange ver the threaded pins nt the sealing sleeve. Place the washers and tighten the hexagnal nuts diagnally (max. trque 30 Nm). 11

12 5.7 Place the angled sealing ring fr backflw preventin within the utlet bdy, s that the upper prtruding lip (between the cams) lies flush ver the cllar edge. Lubricate the inside f the angled sealing ring and als the extensin unit with the prvided lubricant. 5.8a Match the extensin unit t the thickness f the insulatin material, if necessary by shrtening, and then push it thrugh the angled sealing ring int the SitaMulti. The extensin unit must be at least flush with the under edge f the angled sealing ring. Secure the extensin unit mechanically t the substructure. 5.8b Fit the thermal insulatin, and push the SitaMulti rf utlet thrugh the angled sealing ring. Secure the SitaMulti rf utlet mechanically t the substructure. 5.9 Lay the big sealing sleeve ver the threaded pins f the fixed flange f the SitaMulti. D nt use the sealing sleeve in the case f a bituminus rfing material. Weld the rfing material directly t the fixed flange Determine the psitin f the SitaMulti in the rfing material. Use the secnd sealing sleeve as a template fr the whle pattern f the threaded pins f the SitaMulti. Lay it n the rf surface and mark the hle pattern. Punch ut the pattern (hllw punch with a diameter f 13mm) and place the rfing material ver the threaded pins nt the first sealing sleeve. Cut ut the rfing material inside the diameter f the rf utlet pt. An verlapping in the area f the flange is nt permissible. 12

13 5.11 Lay the small sealing sleeve ver the threaded pins nt the rfing material. D nt use the sealing sleeve in the case f a bituminus rfing material The sealing sleeve and the rfing material are t be warmed befre flanging. Lay the lse flange ver the threaded pins nt the sealing sleeve. Place the washers and tighten the hexagnal nuts diagnally (max. trque 30 Nm). Attentin: The fllwing pints are valid fr the series SitaMulti. Fr SitaDSS Multi, see SitaAirstp fr SitaDSS Multi/Alu 5.13 Place the dme grate in the lse flange, fr cnventinal drainage. Munt the SitaAirstp fr syphnic drainage applicatin. 13

14 6. SitaMulti grating frame 6.1 Place the SitaMulti supprting-ring with the clsed side nt the cams f the SitaMulti rf utlet. Supprting-ring 6.2 Place the husing with attached tp grating f the SitaMulti grating frame nt the supprtingring and adjust t the height f the tp layer with the aid f the lcating grves. Height 90 mm t 130 mm. 6.3 In the case f heights greater than 130 mm, yu can use SitaMulti height adjustment unit between the SitaMulti supprting-ring and the 14

15 SitaMulti husing as an extensin f the grating frame. Height with ne height adjustment unit: 140 mm t 220 mm. Height with tw height adjustment units: 200 mm t 310 mm. 6.4 Bring a prtective layer nt the sealing and wrk the tp layer nt the grating frame. 15

16 8. SitaAirstp fr SitaDSS Multi 8.1 Place the SitaAirstp ver the threaded pins nt the hexagnal nuts f the syphnic rf utlet. 8.2 Place the washers and the hexagnal nuts nt the threaded pins and tighten them. Place the prtective caps nt the hexagnal nuts. 8.3 Push the stainless steel screw thrugh the middle hle f the dme grate and screw it int the centre f the SitaAirstp. 16

17 9. SitaRetaining element 9.1 Sealed rf surface with built-in Sita rf utlet fr emergency drainage. 9.2 Place the angled sealing ring in the Sita rf utlet r in the Sita extensin unit. 9.3 Adjust the height f the retaining element t the calculated level f the stemmed water,using the three rubber feet. If necessary, shrtenthe retaining element s that the minimum crss sectin f the rf utlet in the case f angled utlets is preserved. 9.4 Cat the angled sealing ring and the lwer parts f the retaining element with the lubricant prvided. Push the retaining element thrugh the angled sealing ring int the drain bdy, s that the rubber feet stand n the seal. 17

SitaSani PUR 10.1 Thrughly clean the rf utlet, extensin unit, r pipe, which is t be renvated, s that a smth surface is achieved in the area f the sealing ring Determine the necessary length f the renvatin utlet, and shrten if necessary Chse ne f the prvided sealing rings and place it, withut lubricant, ver the cnnectin piece f the renvatin rf utlet. Cat the utside f the sealing ring, and als the part t be renvated, with lubricant. 18

19 10.4 Carefully place the renvatin rf utlet centrally int the part which is t be renvated and secure it mechanically. Cnnect the rfing material and the renvatin rf utlet with the cnnecting sleeve, accrding t manufacturer s instructins. Set the dme grate in the renvatin rf utlet. 12. SitaSani Spezial 12.1 Thrughly clean the part which needs t be renvated, s that a smth surface is achieved in the area f the sealing ring f the renvatin rf utlet Using lubricant, push the prvided cnnectin pipe nt the cnnectin piece f the renvatin drain. Determine the necessary length f the renvatin drain, and shrten if necessary. Place the prvided sealing ring, withut lubricant, ver the cnnectin piece f the utlet. Finally, cat the uter side f the sealing ring, and als the part which is t be renvated, with lubricant. 19

20 12.3 Carefully place the renvatin rf utlet centrally int the part which is t be renvated and secure it mechanically. Cnnect the rfing material and the renvatin rf utlet with the cnnecting sleeve, accrding t manufacturer s instructins. Set the dme grate in the renvatin rf utlet. 20
