2 Rf Safe Netting SUMMARY OF FEATURES Cnsists f wven flat hexagnal netting made frm galvanised mild steel wire, with reinfrcing wires at 113mm centres. Acts as a supprt fr rfing underlays and insulatin, and prvides a permanent safety net against falls. Suitable fr use n bth cmmercial and residential sites. Pliable and easier t wrk with than traditinal safety mesh cnturs easily arund hips and valleys. Can be used ver the trusses r as a safety net ver the tp plate. Suitable fr fixing ver steel and timber purlins. Unique shape and small mesh size helps t prevent tls falling thrugh. EXACT-CUT service prvides precise lengths fr each jb. Tested and cmpliant with Appendix B f AS/NZS 4389: 1996 Safety Mesh Standard. Galvanising cmplies with AS/NZS 4534: 2006 Class W02. Wire tensile strength is between 380 and 550 MPa. It is fr use as a supprt fr building papers, rf underlays, aluminium fil and glasswl insulatin which prvides a permanent safe wrking envirnment. Applicatins Baynet Rf Safe Netting is fr use n timber and steel framing as a supprt fr rfing underlay and building paper under rf claddings, t prvide a permanent safe wrking envirnment thrughut initial rf installatin and fr any maintenance wrk in the future. Prduct Infrmatin When used fr rfing, Baynet Rf Safe Netting becmes a permanent fixture fr the life f the building and prvides the required safe wrking envirnment thrughut initial rf installatin and fr any maintenance wrk in the future. Baynet Rf Safe Netting can be used t supprt building paper, rf underlay, aluminium fil r glasswl insulatin in rf spaces but is dependent n the site cnditins. 3 Rf Safe Netting The NZS 3604 wind zne is High r less, r fr specific design cases the Design Wind Speed as determined frm NZS 4203: 1992, must nt exceed 44mls. Maximum rainfall is 1400mm/year. A wind barrier (rigid r nn-rigid equivalent) may be cnstructed by using Baynet Rf Safe Netting backing supprt fr tw layers f building paper r rf underlay. Where this methd is used, the laps f each layer must be staggered, such that the lap centres f the first layer are n clser than 450mm frm the lap centres f the secnd layer. The need fr a wind barrier depends n the cladding type and the Wind Zne. The requirements are given in Clause and Clause f NZS 3604 and NZBC Acceptable Slutin E2/AS1, Paragraphs t Fr all applicatins including rfs t specific design, the rf cladding materials must cmply with Table 11.2 f NZS When used as a supprt fr building paper r rf underlay in rf spaces in accrdance with the manufacturer s instructins cntained within this brchure, Baynet Rf Safe Netting, 113mm mesh size, will meet the perfrmance requirements f NZBC B2.3.1(a), 50 years r B2.3.1(b) 15 years as apprpriate and will have a serviceable life in excess f 50 years. A 50 year durability is required where used t supprt a building paper r rf underlay under cncrete r clay rf tiles. Technical Data Baynet Rf Safe Netting cnsists f a hexagnal, 113mm flat mesh, manufactured frm, 1.0mm diameter galvanised mild steel wire with 2 reinfrcing wires f 1.2mm diameter. The 113mm rf safe netting is supplied in rlls 1800mm wide in lengths f 50m r manufactured t suit the length f yur rf run. The wire used t manufacture Baynet Rf Safe Netting cnfrms t Class W02 f AS/NZS 4534: Bth wire diameters used t manufacture this prduct have a tensile strength f between 380 and 550 MPa. The minimum mass f galvanised cating is; 25g/m2 fr the 1.0mm diameter wire, and 30g/m2 fr bth the 1.2mm diameter reinfrcing wires.
