Each cnnectr pair will tlerate typically 0.02 inches per pair radial and axial ffset misalignment and still meet all f its electrical specificatins. Mst Aerflex / Weinschel Planar Blind-mates designs cnveniently munt n any panel using a standard panel D-hle r mst any standardized hle pattern. In either case these cnnectrs allw threadless cnnectr mating which is very useful when mating an array f cnnectrs n ne RF mdule t anther array r cnnectr within secnds. Figure 2 shws a typical applicatin where each cnnectr half cntains 7035R series cnnectrs. These cnnectrs cntain spring laded inner/uter cntacts which allws fr extremely lng cntact life as well as 0.02 per pair maximum radial and axial ffset misalignment while still meeting all the specified electrical specificatins. Aerflex / Weinschel ffers a variety f standard mdels which are designed t fit r be cnfigured int a wide range f applicatins: Pressurized Designs - Mdel 7008 (page 220) is equipped with a flange arrangement designed t withstand 1000 PSI f hydrstatic pressure. This mdel can be mated with anther 7008 r any 7034 r 7035 series Planar Blind-mate. See page 218 fr mating applicatins. Rear Lcking - Mdels 7034 & (page 221) are beneficial in applicatins where there is easy access t the frnt f the cnnectr fr hlding while the cable and cnnectr is added r remved. Rtatin is als prevented if the cnnectr frnt is inserted in a slt which culd allw fr easier cable and cnnectr assembly installatin. Frnt Lcking - Mdels 7035, , 7035R, 7035R-1 (page 222) & 7041 (New..page 223) are beneficial in applicatins where the cable and cnnectr will be inserted as an assembly int a panel r cnnectr mdule frm the rear. 8 Cnnectr Systems Custm Examples The fllwing examples illustrate sme typical Blind-mate designs that can be either mdified r used as a basis fr creating a specific blind-mate cnnectr r system fr yur applicatin: Example 1: Example 4: This example shws a blind-mate t SMA flange cnnectr which includes a standard 4 hle munting pattern and SMA cnnectrs per MIL-C cnnectrs. These cnnectrs can be ptimized t a specific frequency range and/r yur defined specificatins. Example 2: This example illustrates shws a 6 db blind-mate attenuatr design that cnsists f tw flating receivers with a cmpressin spring and spring laded cntacts (inner and uter cnductrs). Designs can als be supplied with statinary fixed surface cnnectrs. Specificatins fr this unit include dc-32 GHz peratin, 1.35 maximum SWR, and a radial alignment ffset. Example 5: Example 2 illustrates a blind-mate t a micrstrip launch design that features a nn-pilting (fixed), spring laded inner cnnectr.
