1 LTC V Low Power RS Transceiver FEATRES Operates from a Single V Supply Low Supply Current: I CC = µa ESD Protection Over ±kv Available in -Pin SOIC Narrow Package ses Small Capacitors: Operates to kbaud Output Overvoltage Does Not Force Current Back into Supplies RS I/O Lines Can Be Forced to ±V Without Damage Pin Compatible with LTA and MAXA APPLICATIO S Notebook Computers Palmtop Computers DESCRIPTIO The LTC is an ultra-low power -driver/-receiver RS transceiver that operates from a single V supply. The charge pump requires only four spacesaving capacitors. The supply current (I CC ) of the transceiver is only µa with driver outputs unloaded. The LTC is fully compliant with all data rate and overvoltage RS specifications. The transceiver can operate up to kbaud with a pf, kω load. Both driver outputs and receiver inputs can be forced to ±V without damage and can survive multiple ±kv ESD strikes., LTC and LT are registered trademarks of Linear Technology Corporation.
