1 Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II Static Grunding System ATEX IECEx The Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II is a unique static grunding system that can mnitr the simultaneus grunding f up t eight (8) individual pieces f equipment at risk f discharging electrstatic sparks. With the Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II up t eight individual items f ptentially islated equipment can be grund mnitred simultaneusly with a single static grunding system. The Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II is an ATEX / IECEx / ccsaus certified static grunding system that identifies when equipment exceeds grund resistance levels utlined in cdes f practice including NFPA 77 and IEC The system cnsists f a hazardus area mnitring unit that cntains eight pairs f red and green LED indicatrs that verify when the equipment at risk f static charge accumulatin has a resistance f 10 hms r less t the plant's designated true earth grunding pint. Fr applicatins where grund mnitring indicatin is required at the pint f peratin (e.g. drum filling) lcal grund status indicatr statins can be specified. The indicatr statins can be munted in any EX/HAZLOC atmsphere, are mre energy efficient than line pwered indicatrs and mre cst effective than standard HAZLOC apprved indicatrs. Each grund mnitring channel interfaces with it an individual dry cntact as standard. In additin t the 8 individual dry cntacts a grup relay is prvided s that multiple grund mnitring channels can be setup t prvide a permissive / nn-permissive cnditin t external equipment (e.g. PLCs, pumps, valves, sunders). If a sftware r hardware errr is detected by the Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II s self-mnitring functin, it activates a fault relay ensuring the system shuts dwn in a fail-safe cnditin. The unit can be munted in all ATEX / IECEx znes and all Class and Divisin rated hazardus lcatins. The Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II s 230 V/110 V AC pwer supply unit huses eleven (11) dry cntacts. 8 f these interface with each mnitred grunding channel, 2 prvide the gruped channel functin and 1 relay prvides the failsafe redundancy utput functin. The pwer supply can be installed in Zne 2/21 and Class 1, Div.2, Class II, Div.1, Class III, Div.1 areas. The pwer supply can be hused in GRP r stainless steel enclsures. The Earth-Rite MULTIPOINT II s energy efficient external indicatr statins prvide grund status indicatin fr each individual channel. The attentin grabbing GREEN LED pulses cntinuusly when a psitive grund cnnectin is made. The indicatr statins can be munted in all ATEX / IECEx znes and all Class and Divisin rated hazardus lcatins. Channels 5 and 6 are gruped via the grup relay s that if either drum is nt grunded the pump feeding the filling statin is shut dwn immediately, thereby preventing the build up f static n the drums.
