Other surces f vibratins may include fans, washing machines, lud music, etc. These surces f vibratin may interfere with the perfrmance f yur Angelcare mnitr and the alarm will nt sund if it cntinues t detect any mvement ther than yur baby s. Be sure all vibratin surces are eliminated befre using the mnitr. Yu may experience false alarms fr several reasns. The mst cmmn reasn is the Nursery Unit has nt been turned OFF after yu have remved yur baby frm the crib. Anther reasn is the Sensr Pad has nt been placed under the mattress prperly. Be sure the Sensr Pad is n a flat, firm surface with the printed side facing up. The sensitivity level may als need t be adjusted. Refer t Step.. Always be sure t immediately check n baby whenever an alarm sunds..9 Sensr Pad - Yur Sensr Pad can be used in any crib that is statinary. If the crib has a spring r slat base, place a hard bard between the crib base and the Sensr Pad measuring at least x cm and 6 mm thick. Only use yur Angelcare mnitr in a statinary sleeping envirnment such as a crib where the Sensr Pad can rest n a cmpletely flat, firm surface. The sensr pad is made f plastic and des nt permit the air t circulate. Therefre, mildew build up culd develp underneath the mattress in the sensr pad area. We suggest rtating the mattress regularly t prevent any mildew. 6. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS RELATED TO USE OF BATTERIES 6. Use ONLY the type and size f batteries specified in the wner s manual. There is a risk f explsin if batteries are replaced with an incrrect type. 6. Use ONLY the enclsed lithium rechargeable battery and/r the adapter prvided fr the Parent Unit. DO NOT attempt t replace the battery r yu will severely damage the unit. 6. Charge the battery fr 9 hurs prir t first use. Be sure t have the mnitr in the OFF psitin during this perid. ONLY use the adapters included with yur mnitr. 6. DO NOT use these adapters with any ther equipments. 6. When unplugging the adapter frm the Nursery Unit, be sure it is switched t the OFF psitin. If it isn t, the unit will revert t battery mde if batteries are installed. 6.6 DO NOT use rechargeable batteries in the Nursery Unit. Use alkaline batteries ONLY. 6.7 DO NOT dispse batteries in fire. They may explde. 6 STEP - CHARGING THE PARENT UNIT (9 HOURS) IMPORTANT The Parent Unit uses a nnremvable rechargeable lithium battery. 7 STEP - INSTALLING THE SENSOR PAD 6 Sensr Pad with pre-installed crd cvers. - SELECT A LOCATION FOR THE NURSERY UNIT Crd cvers,,, : Psitin n flr Crd cver : Cntains duble sided tape t securely install beneath crib leg Crd cver : Psitin vertically between mattress supprt and flr Crd cver 6: Place under the mattress Select a lcatin fr the Nursery Unit that is at least meter away frm the crib. 6 IMPORTANT Keep at least m. IMPORTANT Place the crib near a supprting wall and far frm air currents. Install the Nursery Unit n a flat, stable surface facing the crib at a distance f at least meter. Make sure t plug the adapter t the scket utlet nearest t the equipment and that is easily accessible.. - SELECT THE CRIB LEG YOU WILL BE USING TO SECURE THE CORD COVERS RECOMMENDED 6 OR 6 Figure Figure ) Use the crib leg by the wall clsest t the Nursery Unit (Figure ). In cases where the Nursery Unit is acrss the rm, use the leg clsest t the Nursery Unit t psitin the cvered wire (Figure ). It is always preferable that the cvered crd run alng a wall.. - INSTALL THE SENSOR PAD ON THE MATTRESS SUPPORT 6 ) Remve the mattress frm the crib. Sensr Pad r Sensr Pads (depending n mdel) ) Place the Sensr Pad(s) printed side up n tp f the hardbard. ) Run the cnnectin pin, warning label and the first crd cvers dwn alng the backside f the crib leg, between the mattress supprt and the inside edge f the crib. 7

8 ) Bring the first crd cvers dwn the flr, and keep the th crd cver vertically, alng the backside f the crib leg, (between the mattress and the inside edge f the crib). ) Remve any crd slack t make sure n parts f the crd are lse. 6 8 cm 6 6) Place the 6 th crd cver apprximately 8 cm frm the edge f the mattress supprt. 7) Snap tgether the remaining crd cvers that will run alng the flr. 7 CLIC! The Sensr Pad functins with any size and type f mattress except memry-fam mattresses and hllw frame mattresses. The hardbard maintains a cnstant pressure n the Sensr Pad, enabling it t detect the baby s mvements even when the baby is at the edges f the crib ) Remve any crd slack t make sure n parts f the crd are lse. 0 9) Peel ff the duble-sided tape n the th crd cver and place it securely under the crib leg. 0) Install the Nursery Unit n a flat, stable surface facing the crib at a distance f at least meter and plug the Sensr Pad crd int the Nursery Unit. ) Check t make sure the Sensr Pad has nt mved frm psitin. ) Place the mattress back inside the crib. WARNING STRANGULATION HAZARD Remve all slack frm Sensr Pad Crd. When lwering the mattress supprt as yur child grws, slide the vertical Crd Cver () upward s it remains apprximately in the center between the mattress supprt and the flr. Slide the Sensr Pad Crd thrugh the Flr Cver t eliminate any additinal slack. The Sensr Pad is nt designed fr use with adults, children r infants lder than mnths. Discntinue used f the Sensr Pad when child is lder than mnths. Remve Sensr Pad frm crib and stre fr future use. BEFORE FIRST TIME USE: T test that the unit is ready fr use, refer t instructin manual n hw t test that the installatin has been dne crrectly. 8

9 STEP - SETTING UP THE NURSERY UNIT ) Remve the battery dr and insert AA Alkaline Batteries (nt included). m ) Place the Nursery Unit at a minimum f meter away frm the crib. ) Cnnect the adapter t the Nursery Unit and int an electrical utlet. ) Direct the angle f the camera tward the crib using the rtating dial. NOTE: The batteries maintain pwer supply in case f pwer utage. STEP - TURNING ON YOUR MONITOR When Parent Unit is turned ON and Nursery Unit is OFF, Parent Unit will display Discnnected mde. ) Press and hld the Parent Unit ON/OFF buttn fr secnds until LCD screen is turned ON. Angelcare s lg will be shwn fr secnd. ) Push and hld the Nursery Unit Pwer ON/ OFF buttn fr secnds. ) The Parent Unit will display Vide mde screen. ) If there is a lst cnnectin between the units after. minutes, the Out-f-Range alarm will sund n the Parent Unit (refer t trubleshting): The Out-f-Range icn will appear n the screen. The Lst Cnnectin icn will appear n the indicatr bar. 9

Gd cnnectin Pr cnnectin Lst cnnectin Out-f-Range Battery Level icn: Indicates battery level Empty / Full / Full Full STEP - TESTING AND GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MONITOR The Angelcare mnitr can be used with the pre-prgram factry settings r yu can als custmize yur settings t yur preference. Main menu n the LCD display shws the different peratin settings. Use the directin keys t change r check the different functins n the Parent Unit. Press the Menu/Select buttn t select an icn. The light icn will change frm Green t Blue t shw that the icn is selected. Press VIDEO ON/OFF buttn t exit r t g back t main menu when in sub menu. IMPORTANT When in menu r sub-menu mdes, sund transmissin between Parent and Nursery Units will be temprarily deactivated. ONLY mvement-detectin alarm will remain active (if functin is activated).. - SENSOR PAD TO ACTIVATE THE SENSOR PAD: ) Press Menu/Select buttn t access main menu. ) Select the Mvement icn. ) Use the up and dwn arrws t activate r deactivate the Mvement Alarm. ) Press Menu/Select buttn t cnfirm. TO TEST THE SENSOR PAD: ) Mve yur hand lightly n the mattress. The Pendulum icn will appear n Parent Unit indicatr bar. ) Remve yur hand frm the mattress. After secnds yu will hear a TIC pre-alarm sund, and secnds later the Mvement Alarm will trigger. 0 MOVEMENT ALARM Alarm activates when n mvement is detected by the Sensr Pad fr 0 secnds. Bth the Parent Unit and the Nursery Unit speakers will emit lud warning sund. Mvement Alarm icn will shw n the LCD screen. IF THE ALARM DOES NOT SOUND Avid cntact with the crib while Sensr Pad is in peratin. Place the crib near a supprting wall. Adjust the Sensr Pad sensitivity level. Turn OFF crib mbile, fans, lud music r anything else that may cause vibratin.

11 TO STOP THE ALARM OR On the Parent Unit, press any key t stp the alarm. Press the Pager/Hld buttn n the Nursery Unit. TO ADJUST THE SENSOR PAD SENSITIVITY LEVEL: ) Press Menu/Select buttn t access main menu. ) Select the Settings icn t access sub-menu. ) Select the Mvement Sensitivity icn. ON 0 sec ) Use the up and dwn arrws t chse the desired sensitivity level ( t ). ) Press Menu/Select buttn t cnfirm. NOTE: If yu are receiving false alarms, adjust the sensitivity level. It will detect even the sftest levels f crying. T save pwer, after 0 secnds, the sund transmissin will stp if n sund is detected. 17 TROUBLESHOOTING TAKING CARE OF YOUR RECHARGEABLE BATTERY Ensure that yu fully charge yur battery fr 9 hurs befre their first use. T maintain maximum battery life it is recmmended that yu fully discharge yur battery peridically. If yur Parent Unit is nt in use, please turn it OFF. FALSE ALARMS Turn OFF the Nursery Unit. Verify the cnnectin between the Sensr Pad and the Nursery Unit. Unplug and recnnect the crd. Make sure there is n bedding between the mattress and the Sensr Pad. If the crib has a spring r slat base, place a hardbard between the crib base and the Sensr Pad measuring at least x cm and 6 mm thick. Make sure the Sensr Pad is psitined as described under the setup requirements. Sensitivity may need t be adjusted, refer t Step.. ALARM WILL NOT SOUND Avid cntact with the crib when the mnitr is ON. Re-Cnnectin prcedure: ) Turn the Nursery Unit & Parent Unit OFF ) Turn the Nursery Unit ON ) Quickly press & release the pwer buttn times, the Nightlight n the Nursery Unit will begin t flash Please Nte: The nightlight will flash fr apprx 0 secnds yu will need t cmplete the remaining steps whilst the nightlight is flashing.
