Here I fcus n designing a mbile health mnitring system fr peple wh stay alne at hme r suffering frm heart disease. Develping a hardware which will sense heart rate bld pressure and bdy temperature, using GSM mdem all infrmatin lively transmitted t smart phne, frm smart phne all infrmatin transmitted t server using GPRS. At server the received data cmpared with standard threshld minimum and maximum values and if it crssed this threshld limits then SMS will be sent t the relative f patient and dctrs alng with measured values. Fr transmitting date frm Smartphne t the server using GPRS, here we need t create a website n date will be cntinuusly transmitted frm Smartphne t the website and frm website data will be dwnladed cntinuusly n the server. Keywrds: ARM7 LPC2148, GSM/GPRS, and wireless sensr netwrks I.INTRODUCTION In recent year, with the miniaturizatin f bimedical sensrs, the fast develpment and ppulatin f infrmatin prcessing and wireless data transmissin technlgy, the reaches f wireless medical mnitring system has becme a ht tpic. The aim f develping remte health mnitring systems is t mnitr nline medical parameters and t reach this infrmatin frm anywhere. Because f the less cst in wireless cmmunicatin technlgy implementatin f them t mnitring system have becme easier. By utilizing the wireless technique t transmit infrmatin between medical sensr and mnitring cntrl center, the free space f patients is enlarged, and the efficiency f the mdern management f hspitals is imprved. The rest f the paper is rganized as fllws. Sectin II verviews the system structure f the prpsed system, sectin III describes the hardware develpment, sectin IV advantages f the prpsed system, sectin V describes the results analysis f the prpsed system, and sectin VI and VII sectins describes the feature wrk and cnclusins. II. SYSTEM STRUCTURE The mnitring terminal, and generally cnsists f three mdules: The sensr mdule, the cntrl mdule, and the wireless cmmunicatin mdule. The sensr mdule is used fr accruing medical infrmatin frm the utside, and then cnverts them t digital signals. The cntrl mdule is in change f crdinating the task f different mdules, cntrlling the sensr, prcessing data, and executing cmmunicatin prtcls. 1103

Lpc2148 is a mdel that belngs t ARM7 series, a fully integrated mixed-signal micr-cntrller. It has a high-speed signal cre, 64k bytes f flash memry, and hardware implementatin f the SPI interface The wireless mnitring terminal blck diagram is shwn in fig 1. Whse cre is the lpc2148 MCU. It is cnnected with GSM/GPRS by RS-232 interface, and can read and writing inner register f, realizing the wireless transceiver f infrmatin. It can get infrmatin such as psychlgical parameters frm external sensrs by ADC and DAC mdules. It is cnnected with the simulatr and pc by JTAG and UART series interface. Therefre realizing the dwnlad and nline debug prgrams. Thrugh the external interrupts, it culd cntrl the calling buttn t get the calling infrmatin frm patients and prcess by interrupts. III.HARDWARE DEVLOPMENT FUNCTION OF ARM7 LPC2148: The ARM7 is general purpse 32 bit micrprcessr, which ffers high perfrmance and very lw pwer cnsumptin. The ARM architecture is based n reduced instructin set cmputer (RISC) principles, and the instructin set and related decde mechanism are much simpler than thse f micr prgrammed cmplex instructin set cmputers (CISC). Up t nine edge r level sensitive external interrupts pins available. The LPC2141/2/4/6/8 incrprate a32kb, 64KB, 128KB, 256KB and 512KB flash memry system respectively. This memry may be used fr bth cde and data strage. The prgramming f the flash memry may be accmplished in several ways: 1104

3 ver the serial built-in JTAG interface, using In system prgramming(isp) and UART0, r by means f In applicatin prgramming (IAP) capabilities. The applicatin prgrams using the IAP functins, may als erase and/r prgrams the flash, while the applicatin is running. FUNCTION OF GSM/GPRS MODEM: A GSM mdem is a wireless mdem that wrks with a GSM wireless netwrk. A wireless mdem behaves like a dialup mdem. The main difference b/n them is that a dial up mde sends and receives data thrugh a fixed telephne line while a wireless mdem sends and receives data thrugh radi waves. The cre f data cmmunicatin abut this system lies in wireless cmmunicatin cntrl terminals that uses GSM mdules t transfer lngdistance data extensively and reliably. It supprt instructins f AT cmmands. SIM300 can be integrated with a wide range f applicatins. SIM300 a tri-band GSM/GPRS engine that wrks n frequencies EGSM 900MHZ, DCS 1800 MHZ and pcs 1900MHZ SIM300 prvides GPRS multi-slt class 10 capabilities and supprt the GPRS cding schemes CS- 1, CS-2, CS-3 and CS-4 with a tiny cnfiguratin f 40mm x 33mm x2.85mm, SIM300 can fit almst all the space requirement in ur applicatins. Therefre, the MCU can cnnect with GSM mdules very expediently thrugh serial interfaces. Fig 3. GSM mdem A GSM mdem can be an external device r pc card. Typically, an external GSM mdem is cnnected t a cmputer thrugh a serial cable r a USB cable. A GSM mdem in the frm f a pc card is designed fr use with a laptp cmputer. A GSM mdem requires a SIM card frm a wireless carrier in rder t perate. A SIM card cntains the fllwing infrmatin: Subscriber telephne number (MSISDN) Internatinal subscriber number (IMSI, Internatinal Mbile Subscriber Identity) State f the SIM card Service cde (peratr) Authenticatin key PIN (Persnal Identificatin Cde) PUK (Persnal Unlck Cde) FUNCTION OF RS-232 (RECOMMENDED STANDAND -232): RS-232 (Recmmended standard-232) is a telecmmunicatin standard fr binary serial cmmunicatin between devices. It supplies serial prts. The devices are cmmnly refereed t as a DTE(data terminal equipment) and DCE (data cmmunicatin equipment) and culd include items like a cmputer and mdem respectively. RS-232 hardware can be used fr serial cmmunicatin up t distance f 50 feet. Pin functins: Data : TXD n pin 3, RXD n pin 2 Handshake : RTS n pin 7, CTS n pin 8, DSR n pin 6, CD n pin 1, DTR n pin 4 Cmmn : cmmn pin 5 (grund) Other : RT n pin 9. FUNCTION OF HEAR BEAT SENSOR: Heart beat sensr is designed t give digital utput f heart beat when a finger is placed n it. When the heart beat detectr is wrking the beat LED flashes in unisn with each heart beat. This digital utput can be cnnected t micrcntrller directly t measure the beat per minute (BPM) rate. It wrks n the principle f light mdulatin by bld flw thrugh fingering at each pulse. Features: Fig4. Fig5. Heart beat sensr The sensr cnsists f super bright red LED and light detectr. The LED needs t be super bright as the maximum light must pass spread in figure and detected by detectr. Nw, When the heart pumps a pulse f bld thrugh the bld vessels, the finger becmes slightly mre paque and s less light reached the detectr with each heart pulse the detectr signal varies. This variatin is cnverted t electrical pulse. This signal is amplified and triggered thrugh an amplifier which utput +5v lgic level signal. The utput signal is als indicated by a LED which blinks n each heart beat. FUNCTION OF TEMERATURE SENSOR: The measurement f temperature is ne f the fundamental requirements fr envirnmental cntrl, as well as certain chemical, electrical and mechanical cntrls. Many different types f temperature sensrs are cmmercially available, and the type f temperature sensr that will be used in particular applicatin will depend n several factrs. Fr example, cst, space cnstraints, durability, and accuracy f the temperature sensr are all cnsideratins that typically need t be taken int accunt Varius types f temperature sensrs are knwn including liquid-in-glass (LIG) thermmeters, bimetallic thermmeters, resistance thermmeters, thermcuples and radimeters. Depending upn the temperature t be measured, the required accuracy f the measurement, and ther factrs such as durability and accuracy f the temperature sensr are all cnsideratins that typically need t be taken int accunt. 1106

5 Fig 6. Temperature sensr In this paper we use LM35 as a temperature sensr. LM35 is a precisin IC temperature sensr with its utput prprtinal t the temperature (in 0 C). The sensr circuitry is sealed and therefre it is nt subjected t xidatin and ther prcesses. With LM35, temperature can be measured mre accurately than with a thermistr. The perating temperature range is frm C t C. The utput vltage varies by 10mV in respnse t every 0 C rise/fall in ambient temperature i.e., its scale factr is 0.01V/ 0 C. Fig7. Secndly, the patient terminal utput are verified against the measurement f these same parameters using standard medical equipment s was fund t be fairly faithful as shwn in fig. The nted variatins are attributed t the cnditins under which the parameters are recrded. V. RESULTS ANALYSIS In this setup the health parameters under bservatins are bdy temperature, heart beat rate, bld pressure systlic (BPS) and bld pressure diastlic(bpd). In the first experiment the faithful measurement at patient terminal and at medical server were bserved and fund t be abslutely safe. S it can be deduced that the faithful transmissin f data frm patient terminal t medical server is successfully implemented. The system successfully generated the relevant data and the SMS frm the medical server t alert the cncern physician. VI. FEATURE ENHANCEMENT There is always chance t imprve any system as research AND develpment is an endless prcess. Patient vice recgnitin system: IC HM2007 can be used t recgnitin the 1107

The mnitring terminal can precisely check the heart rate and bdy temperature f patients, and send them t crdinatr and then surveillance center thrugh wireless netwrk. The errr f the mnitred bdy temperature, heart rate, and ther infrmatin is very slight, which satisfies practical usage, and meets the demand f the design. By extending ther sensr mdule, it culd realize the mnitring f mre psychlgical parameters and reliable transmissin. The mst imprtant part f the prject is that it mnitrs a mving patient rather than a statinary r a bedridden patient. This system ensures that the patient receives medical attentin in the nick f time befre it is t late. Cntinuus mnitring f health and cst effective disease management is the nly way t ensure ecnmic viability f the healthcare system.
