1 Dispatcher Cntrl fr MtTRBO Capacity Plus Systems This tutrial prvides brief instructins t set up the dispatch cntrl ver MtTRBO Capacity Plus systems, using SmartPTT dispatch sftware. Bth cases are cnsidered: with and withut data revert channels. Please nte, the tutrial can be changed during the develpment f SmartPTT. 2 1. Simple cnfiguratin (Withut Data Revert Channels) 1.1. Repeater Settings Use CPS t prgram MtTRBO repeaters t wrk in Capacity Plus mde: Create Capacity Plus Vice Channel Select IP Site Master in Repeater Type list

3 If Capacity Plus system cnsists f several repeaters, ne f them is prgrammed as Master and the thers are prgrammed as Peers (Repeater Type = IP Site Peer) Base Radi Settings fr Talk Grups. Trunk (Grups) Base radis Trunk (Grups) are used fr tw-ways grup calls n the dispatcher cnsle. T eliminate lst grup calls because f the busy channel, each base radi must be prgrammed t wrk with the nly ne talk grup. Steps t prgram Trunk (Grups) base radi:

6 1.3. Base Radi Settings fr Dispatcher Individual Calls. Trunk (Dispatcher) Trunk (Dispatcher) MtTRBO base radis are used fr private calls, private text messages frm the dispatcher cnsle r fr Telephne Intercnnect Service. Settings fr Trunk (Dispatcher) base radi is the same as fr Trunk (Grups) base radis, but with the ne difference: Private Call must be added t Capacity Plus cntacts, instead f Grup Call. Imprtant: All Trunk base radis must have different Radi ID Subscriber Radi Settings Subscriber radi settings are similar t Trunk (Grups) base radi settings. In Capacity Plus cntacts add the talk grups which are specific fr this subscriber. Nte: Subscriber radi shuld have Autmatic Registratin Service (ARS) enabled n Capacity Plus channel. Subscriber radi ARS ID must be set t ne f trunk base radis Radi ID. In Mtrla dcumentatin it is recmmended t balance ARS wrklad between available trunk base radis.

7 2. Cnfiguratin with Data Revert Channels 2.1. Repeater Settings fr Trunk Channels Trunk repeater settings are the same as described in sectin 1.1.

Repeater Settings fr Data Revert Channels Data Revert repeater settings are similar t trunk repeater settings with the ne difference: Capacity Plus Data Channel must be created instead f Capacity Plus Vice Channel Base Radi Settings fr Talk Grups. Trunk (Grups) Trunk (Grups) base radi settings are the same as described in sectin Base Radi Settings fr Trunk Data Channel Trunk (Data) base radi is dedicated t transfer cmmands and data t radi subscribers. Steps t Trunk (Data) base radi settings: Add Capacity Plus Vice Channel t Channel Pl. Specify frequency pair f Revert repeater Add the vice channel t Members list f Capacity Plus vice channels Add Capacity Plus Persnality channel Select the vice channel in the Vice List Set Nne in Data List Set Nne in Grup List Set Nne in Cntact Name list

9 Imprtant: Radi ID f Trunk (Data) base radi and Data Revert base radis must be all the same Base Radi Settings fr Data Revert Channel Data Revert base radis are dedicated t get data nly frm the subscriber radis. Steps t d the settings fr Data Revert base radi in MtTRBO CPS: Create Digital Channel Set Repeater Slt t the Data Revert repeater slt number which will be prcessed by the radi Set IP Site Cnnect checkbx Set frequency pair f Data Revert repeater Set Nne in Grup List Set Nne in Cntact Name list

10 Nte: Data Revert base radi is nly used t receive data frm Data Revert repeaters. Imprtant: Radi ID f all Data Revert base radis must be the same Base Radi Settings fr Dispatcher Individual Calls. Trunk (Dispatcher) Trunk (Dispatcher) base radi settings are the same as described in sectin Subscriber Radi Settings Subscriber radi settings are similar t Trunk (Grups) base radi settings. Additinal steps t prgram subscriber radi: In Capacity Plus Cntacts add the talk grups which are specific fr this subscriber. Add Capacity Plus Data Channel t Channel Pl fr all available Data Revert channels.

11 2.8. Add the channels t Members list at Capacity Plus Data sectin. Create Capacity Plus Persnality channel Enable Autmatic Registratin Service (ARS) Select the vice channel in the Vice List

12 Select the data channel in the Data List Select RX talk grup in the Grup List Select the cntact t call n PTT in the Cntact Name list 3. SmartPTT Radiserver Settings 3.1. MCDD Uninstall Fr either cnfiguratin f Capacity Plus Multi Channel Device Driver (MCDD) must be uninstalled at the Radiserver. T uninstall MCDD use Add r Remve Prgrams in the Cntrl Panel Base Radi Netwrk Settings Fr all base radi netwrk interfaces It is recmmended t disable all netwrk cmpnents except Internet Prtcl (TCP/IP). T disable netwrk cmpnents at the base radis:

13 Use Windws Cntrl Panel, Netwrk Cnnectins Select base radi netwrk interface and pen its Prperties windw Nte: The base radi must be turned n and cnnected t the PC via USB. Uncheck all netwrk cmpnents except Internet Prtcl (TCP/IP): 3.3. Rute Table Settings fr Private Text Messages Rute table is set by cnsle utility ROUTE. Launch the Cmmand Prmpt:

14 T add the rutes fr private text messages use cmmand: rute -p add IP(Subscriber) mask netmask IP(CntrlStatin) -p add the rute t Persistent Rutes IP(Subscriber) Subscriber radi IP netmask netwrk mask IP(CntrlStatin) Base radi IP Fr example, t add the rute fr subscriber (CAI-Netwrk 12, Radi ID - 101) t send and receive text messages thrugh the base radi there must be executed fllwing cmmand: rute -p add mask T view rute table use rute print cmmand Persistent Rutes will be displayed at the bttm f the list Rute cmmand allws adding the rutes fr multiple subscribers simultaneusly. Fr example, t add the rute fr subscribers in the range f use cmmand: rute -p add mask

15 T delete the rute use the same cmmand but with delete keywrd instead f the add. Fr example: rute -p delete mask Rute Table Settings fr Grup Text Messages Rute table settings fr grup text messages are mstly the same as fr private text messages. Use fllwing cmmand t add the rute fr grup text messages: rute -p add IP(Grup) mask netmask IP(CntrlStatin) IP(Grup) IP f the grup Fr example, t send and receive text messages fr grup (CAI-grup netwrk 225, Grup ID - 1) thrugh base radi , use cmmand: rute -p add mask SmartPTT Dispatcher Cnsle Settings SmartPTT Dispatcher Cnsle allws shwing f all subscribers under predefined base radi, n matter which radi was used t accept ARS signal. It is specially dne fr wrking in Capacity Plus cnfiguratin t arrange the subscribers in the mst cnvenient way. This setting is dne individually fr each peratr f the dispatcher cnsle. Steps t assign the base radi t shw nline subscribers: Use menu Operatrs Select peratr and click Edit: Set Register subscribers n selected Cntrl Statin checkbx and select the base radi t shw all nline subscribers (In the Online tree)
