Thank you, thank you for your generosity in donating to this fund at each meeting throughout the year and for all the extras you gave! There were lots of gift wrapping supplies, tape, paper, gift bags and ribbon to make the packages festive and bright. Thanks to those of you who donated turkeys and hams as well. For February, CWS has asked for small carrying baskets for shelter resident to take their personal bathroom items to/from their bedrooms, as well as Valentine Stuff (like kid's Valentine card sets, candy and little gifts for the moms). The Shelter also needs new pillows for the bedrooms, mostly standard sized (they have bunk beds, twins and double beds.) It's located at 2721 Highway 70 East next to Pizza Hut and Lance Dentistry. You are encouraged to donate your gently used clothing, books, and household items to Helping Hands as a way to assist victims (who shop for free with vouchers) and the organization (all proceeds go back to CWS to fund their services.)
