Let s make this year even more enjoyable and fun!! Our Christmas Party was wonderful. Thank you so very much to Anne Aubrey and her committee. The food from Colton s was very good. The room was decorated beautifully. The entertainment was very meaningful. The gift exchange and games were fun. It was a great time! UFO Resolution Quilt 2017 forms are due at our January meeting. If you were unable to attend please your entry at chenaults12@gmail.com. It is always fun to see everyone complete their quilt and present at the November meeting. 2 Workshops Martha Brooks All classes are held at the Extension office in Elizabethtown, Peterson Drive. Classes are Friday evening and all day Saturday - unless otherwise noted Changes could happen, and everyone will be notified of changes of dates and classes if needed via Stitchers Blast. These classes are for beginners to advanced quilters On Saturdays - please bring your lunch, sewing machine, and supplies needed. Veterans Quilts We have 57 on hand. The first residents will be moving in this month, but we can still use more quilts!!! Preferred size is 36 x 48 in any color or pattern you like. We have several members that will quilt a top at no charge, check with them about backing and batting requirements. Remember finished quilts cannot have any fringe or dangly things. February 17, 18, 19, 20 Friday - Monday 9am to 9 pm all days. 4 Minutes of the December Stitchers Quilt Guild Meeting and Holiday Party December 14, 2016 Meeting called to order at 6:20 pm By President Darlene Chenault Visitor Lesa Bennett was recognized and welcomed. Door Prizes were drawn: #4 was Diana Zimmerman and #31 Whitney Antique Anne Aubrey read a story: The Quilters Night Before Christmas 6:35 pm Blessing. Entertainment provided by Matt and Joanna Black (Cello and Guitar with vocals) Christmas Carols Dinner provided by Colton s and served at 7:10 pm. After a delicious meal, the meeting resumed at 7:40 pm Minutes were approved with a Motion to Accept as Published by Sharon Whitfield and Seconded by Diane Zimmerman. Treasurers Report was not published in the newsletter and will not be going forward, because the newsletter is published publicly on the Extension Web Page. Treasurer s Report was not available at the time of the meeting and will be provided at the January meeting. Workshops-Martha Brooks. January Mystery w/kelly Pruitt $15, please pay now so patterns can be ordered. UFO signups are due at the January meeting. Judy Cox announced her thanks for the cards, prayers and blocks.
