SUMMARY AND RECMMENDATINS The Chambers prperty is cated in the Nrtheast Temagami Area, District f Nipissing, ntari, and cnsists f 27 unpatented mining caim units near the viage f Temagami. Further expratin f the Chambers prperty is warranted in prving its cnsiderabe merit in hsting ecnmic precius meta and base meta mineraizatin. The "Tritwn area" f Haieybury, New Liskeard and Cbat is cated is cated abut 4.2 t 56.3 km (25 t 35 mies) nrth f Temagami ang Highway. Recenty cnstructed gging rads f the Canadian Jhns-Manvie Cmpany Limited extend int nrtheastern Chambers Twnship frm rads in Banting and Best Twnships. Access t the prperty is by driving nrth frm Temagami n highway apprximatey 8 kimeters t the Red Squirre Rad then apprximatey 36 kimeters t the prperty. As, there is access t the prperty frm the suth east thrugh the Sherman Mine rad but at the time access was denied by the prperty wner. GELGY The main gegica feature f the Nrtheast Temagami area is a nrtheast trending metavcanic-metasedimentary bet f Eary Precambrian (Archean) age. The bet averages abut 3 km acrss and is abut 29 km ng. The dminant structure is that f a nrtheast trending syncine mdified by empacement f granitic putns. Tw generaized vcanic cyces beginning with mafic fws and ending with intermediate t fesic pyrcastic rcks and sedimentary rcks can be recgnized in the area. A thick sequence f Agma-type irn frmatin ies just abve the main fesic t intermediate pyrcastic

8 Page 4 assembage. A variety f metagabbrs, metadirites, and fesic prphyries intruded the metavcanic. The metamrphic grade f the Eary Precambrian rcks is mainy that f the wer green schist facies. The surrunding granitic bathiths are mainy trndhjemite, and quartz mnznite in cmpsitin and are intrusive int the metavcanic. The sutheastern and nrthwestern parts f the map area are verain by rcks f the Gwganda Frmatin f the Hurnian Supergrup which cnsist mainy f reativey undisturbed paracngmerate and sitstne units, frming a cmpex interayered assembage. The Gwganda Frmatin is intruded by dikes and sis f Nipissing Diabase. Nrthwest trending diabase dikes appear t intrude the abve rcks and are the yungest rcks in the map area. Fine grained chritic dikes, amprphyre, and carse grained atered gabbrs cut the granitic rcks, but have nt been fund t intrude the Hurnian rcks. The Eary Precambrian (Archean) metasediments f the Temagami area are mainy vcancastics and cud be cassified as epicastic vcanic rcks. The vcanic surce area fr these rcks is indicated by the fwing: the transitin frm vcanic t breccias t reativey we-srted metasedments, the simiar mineragy f the fesic metavcanic and metasediments, and the presence f euhedra quartz and fedspar grains in a few specimens. Rapid depsitin frm a reativey unstabe, party uncnsidated fesic vcanic surce is suggested by the immature nature f the materia. The thickening f the metasediments near Pigt Lake indicates that the main areas f basining were twards the west. The Chambers-Strathy Bathith The granitic rcks referred t as the Chambers-Strathy Bathith incude the majr area f granitic rcks in the nrtheastern part f Strathy Twnship. These tw areas f granitic rcks

9 PageS area separated by an area f mafic metavcanic and Nipissing Diabase, but the ithgica simiarity f the granitic rcks suggest that they are part f the same bathith. The mst cmmn rck within the Chambers-Strathy Bathith is pae t bright pink, massive t fainty fiated, medium-grained quartz mnznite. The predminant mineras are pagicase, quartz, and micr ine micrperthite ( t 25 percent). Bitite r sma crystas f hrnbende are the predminant mafic mineras, but these mineras generay cmpse ess than five percent f the rck. Chrite, sphene, zircn, aanite, cinzisite and paque xides are accessry cnstituents. Carbnatizatin Tw visiby distinct frms f carbnatizatin have affected the rcks f the Nrtheast Temagami area. The mst widespread and mst bvius type is the intrductin f irn bearing carbnate mineras, dminanty ankerite, but prbaby as siderite and ferr dmite. It is this type f carbnizatin which has generay been referred t as ankeritizatin r carbnatizatin. Ankerite frms veins and disseminated grains that repace earier siicates. The veins r dikes range up t 6 m (2 feet) wide and at east.6 km ( mie) ng. Veins which are expsed at Axe Narrw and ang the Nrthern shre f Prtage Bay near the viage f Temagami may be cntinues; if s, it has a ength f at east 3 km ( 5 mies). The ankerite veins are fine grained, massive, and weather a briiant range t reddish brwn, whie fresh surfaces are pae grey t pae brwn. The arger veins are generay aced with narrw, intertwining quartz veins. The presence f rughy nrth trending fractures is indicated by the ccurrence f atered gabbr dikes with this trend in centra Chambers Twnship and centra Strathcna Twnship.

11 Page? INSTRUMENTATIN AND WRK DNE Max-Min n The Max-Min is a frequency dmain hriznta p (HLEM) system, based n measuring the respnse f cnductrs t a transmitted, time varying eectrmagnetic fied. The transmitted r primary EM fied is a sinusida varying fied at any f five different frequencies. The fied induces an eectrmagnetic frce, (emf), r vtage, in any cnductr thrugh which the fied passes. This is defined by: E.d^t (the Faraday Inductin Principe) where E is the eectric fied strength n vts/meter (and s E.d is the emf arund a csed p) and is the magnetic fux thrugh the cnductr p. This emf causes a "secndary" current t fw in the cnductr in turn generating a secndary eectrmagnetic fied. This changing secndary fied induces an emf in the receiver ci (by Faraday Law) at the same frequency, but which differs frm the primary fied in magnitude and phase. The difference in phase (the phase ange) is a functin f the cnductance f the cnductrs), bth the target and the verburden and hst rck. The magnitude f the secndary is as dependent n the cnductance, and as n the dimensins, depth, and gemetry f the target, as we as n the interference frm verburden and the hst rck. These tw parameters (phase ange and magnitude) are measures by measuring the strength f the secndary fied in tw cmpnents: the rea fied r the part "in phase" with the primary fied, and the imaginary fied, r in part in "quadrature" r 9 degrees ut f phase frm the primary fied. The magnitude and phase ange f the respnse is as a functin f the frequency f the

12 Page 8 primary fied. A higher frequency fied generates a strnger respnse t weaker cnductrs, but a wer frequency tends t pass thrugh weak cnductrs and penetrate t a greater depth. The wer frequency as tends t energize the fu thickness f a cnductr, and gives a better measure f its true cnductivity-thickness prduct (cnductance). Fr these reasns tw r mre frequencies are usuay read: the wer fr penetratin and accurate measure f gd cnductrs and higher frequency fr strng respnse t weak cnductrs. Distinctin between cnductive targets, verburden, and hst rck respnses are made by studying the shape f the secndary fied, and the difference in frequency shape. The transmitted primary fied as creates an emf in the receiver ci, which is much strnger than the secndary, and which must be crrected by the receiver. This is dne by eectrnicay creating an emf in the receiver, whse magnitude is determined by the distance frm the receiver t the transmitter as set n the receiver, and whse phase is derived frm the receiver via a cnnecting cabe. There was 6.6 kimeters f Max-Min hriznta p EM read. The Max-Min survey was carried ut in the "maximum cuped" mde (hriznta c-panar). The transmitter and receiver are carried in ine dwn the survey ine separated by a cnstant distance (in this case m), with the receiver eading. Three transmitter frequencies were used: 444Hz, 888Hz, and 777Hz. The transmitter and receiver are cnnected by a cabe, fr phase reference and peratr cmmunicatin. The Max-Min instruments used were made by Apex Parameters.

13 Page 9 MAGNETMETER SURVEY The magnetmeter survey was carried ut using an EDA mni-pus Mag/VLF unit with the tta fied being measured and an mni-iv base statin magnetmeter fr crrecting magnetic drift. These are tta fied magnetmeters which measure the magnetic fied thrugh the use f prtn prcessina effects caused by the interactin f a magnetic fied with a spin aigned, prtn rich fuid. An instrument accuracy precisin and resutin f. nt may be btained with these instruments under idea cnditins. Micrprcessrs cntained in these instruments aw fr the cectin f the readings ang with the time and its psitin in digita frm suitabe fr dwnading t a cmputer fr data prcessing. A tta f 6.6 kimeters f magnetic readings were taken and readings were taken ang the ines at 25 meter statin intervas. The fied measurements were crrected fr diurna variatins f the earth's magnetic fied by direct subtractin f the base statin readings frm the reading taken at the same mment in the fied units. The crrected data was then dwnaded t a cmputer and ptted n the tta fied magnetic map. INTERPRETATIN The eectrmagnetic Max-Min hriznta p survey detected an anmay frm ines 4E t ine 6E centered at apprximatey 7 suth and ne n ine 2E at 3S and as, n ine GE centered at SN a wide zne. As n ine 8E centered at 8S.. This cnductr athugh a weak ne shud dried fr detectin f base meta and r gd mineraizatin and as t get an evauatin f the gegy n the prperty.
