INTRDUCTIN As a fllw-up t the verburden drilling prgram perfrmed in early 1983, systematic EM-16 and Magnetic Surveys were perfrmed ver staked claims held by Abitibi-Price Inc. in rder t delineate sulphide min eralizatin. The seventeen claims cvered by this reprt ccur in Gldie Twnship and the Dawsn Rad Lts, Thunder Bay Mining Divisin, ntari. LCATIN AND ACCESS The prperty is situated apprximately 36 miles west f Thunder Bay, clse t the junctin f Highways 11 and 17, near the village f Shabaqua. A dry weather rad runs nrth frm Highway 17 and crsses the nrthern prtin f the claim grup. Numerus bush trails als traverse the prperty. PRPERTY The seventeen unpatented mining claims cvered by the surveys and held by Abitibi-Price include: TB inclusive TB inclusive TB inclusive TB PREVIUS WRK In 1969, Nranda Explratin C. Ltd. perfrmed EM and Magnetic Surveys ver the suthern prtin f Gldie Twnship and the nrthern prtin f the Dawsn Rad Lts as a fllw-up t an airbrne survey perfrmed earlier. Several JEM anmalies were utlined by this survey, but n drilling was indicated in the assessment recrds and the claims were allwed t lapse.

4 2. Several gld ccurences in the Dawsn Rad Lts are nted n the nt ari Department f Mines Map P177 - Lakehead-Shebandwan Sheet (E.G. Pye and K.G. Fenwick, 1963). In 1981, Bandlac Mining C. mapped the area east f these shwings (the gld apparently ccurs in carbna- tized cherty felsic vlcanics) but nly limited amunts f pyrite and limnite were fund n the claims. A gephysical survey was recmmended hwever further explratin is nt n recrd at the ntari Gelgical Survey. GENERAL GELGY The prperty is almst cmpletely cvered by verburden with the dd utcrp expsure. The nrthern prtin f the prperty cnsists f metasedimentary units f greywacke, slate and mica schists. Suth f the metasedimentary sequence, there is a band f intermixed metavlcanics and metasediments. In sme lcatins, the vlcanics are tuffaceus. In the Dawsn Rad Lts, the rcks appear t be basic t intermediate vlcanics made up f hrnblende, chlrite schist and pyrclastic rcks. As mentined previusly, several gld shwings are lcated n the suth side f Highway 17, in carbnatized cherty felsic vlcanics. SURVEY PRCEDURE AND INSTRUMENTATIN A Genics EM-16 unit was used fr the recnnaissance EM survey. survey was cmpleted in Nvember 1983 by Nrthwest Gephysics Ltd. f Thunder Bay. Statins were read at 100 ft intervals with 50 ft readings in anmalus znes. The Apprximately 17 miles f line were cut by H. Gnzales, Timmins, ntari in ctber, 1983 with pickets at 100 ft intervals.

5 3. A Genics 816 Prtn Magnetmeter was used fr the magnetic survey. Statins were read at 100 ft intervals with 50 ft readings in anm alus areas. INTERPRETATIN Magnetics Maximum magnetic relief n the prperty is apprximately 62,900 gammas. The dminant feature is a strng magnetic ridge, aligned east-west be tween L52+E, 41+S and 48+S and L+00, 30+S and 35+S with magnetic highs ver 1000 gammas. (Backgrund level apprximately 600 t 700 gammas). EM-16 Several EM cnductrs trend east-west acrss the claim grup. A strng EM cnductr ccurs just belw the base line in the nrthern prtin f the claim grup. N significant magnetic anmalies appear t be assciated with this cnductive zne. A weak anmaly "B" strikes east-west between lines 20+E, S t L 4+00, 31+S. A third EM anmaly "C" which is a mderately gd cnductr ccurs be tween L 12+E, 41+S t L 52+E, 48+S. Bth these EM cnductrs ccur n the flanks f the majr magnetic ridge thrugh the prperty. CNCSINS AND RECMMENDATINS Several gephysical anmalies were utlined in these surveys. T date, there appears t be n previus diamnd drilling prgrams n the prp erty. A detailed gelgical mapping and gechemical sampling prgram is rec mmended befre any diamnd drilling is undertaken. r i D.A, McCmbe
