2 CEMENT MAPPING TOOL (CMT) The 2 7/8 inch diameter snde incrprates a cmbinatin 10-segment and mni-directinal transmitter, a 10-segment receiver spaced 2 feet frm the transmitter t prvide the radial map image, a 5-ft reciever t prvide the Variable Density lg (VDL als knwn as an x-y presentatin), a 3-ft receiver fr the standard Cement Bnd Lg (CBL) and a 1-ft receiver t aid cement evaluatin in the presence f fast frmatins. All measurements are recrded during a single pass in the well, at a recmmended lgging speed f apprximately 8 meters per minute (25 feet per minute). 3 SLIM CEMENT MAPPING TOOL (SCMT) The SCMT emplys the same basic principles as the CMT, except that it has a diameter f just 1 11/16 inches and the 10- segmented transmitter/receiver cnfiguratin has been replaced by an mni-directinal transmitter/8-segment receiver system t allw the imaging hardware t fit int such a small snde. As with the CMT, a 3-ft and a 5-ft receiver are used t generate the CBL and VDL presentatins, and the cement quality in the presence f fast frmatins is evaluated frm the utput f ne f the mapping receivers. 5 innvative design CEMENT MAPPING TOOLS Lee Tl has develped their Cement Mapping Tl and Slim Cement Mapping Tl t allw mre detailed analysis f cement jbs than the basic Cement Bnd Lg had previusly ffered. These tls prvide a 360 circumferential analysis f the cement jb, in additin t the cnventinal CBL and VDL utputs. THE LEE TOOL CMT AND SCMT Our standard CMT is 2 7/8 inch O.D. and is designed t be run in cased hles with n prductin tubing in place. The cement map image is derived frm the signals received by a 10-segment sensr situated 2 feet frm a 10-segment transmitter. Lee Tl's SCMT is 1 11/16 inch O.D. and was deplyed in respnse t an industry requirement fr a cement mapping tl which culd be develped thrugh tubing, in rder t evaluate the casing cement jb belw the tubing. Such a tl wuld als have applicatin in slim hle cmpletins, especially in hrizntal wells. Our slutin was a 1 11/16 inch tl with an 8-segmentes receiver t prvide the map image.
