5 INTRODUCTION In July f 1983 and April f 1984, magnetic and hrizntal lp electrmagnetic surveys were carried ut n fur claims held by Kidd Creek Mines Ltd. in Lennx Twnship. The claims are numbered as fllws: P P P P The claims are lcated 63 kilmetres due nrth f the city f Timmins in the suth half f Cncessin VI, Lt 2. The prperty can be driven t alng a lumber rad which runs between Highway 655 and Highway 11. The suth edge f the grid is 4.0 kilmetres frm Highway 655. The field crew cnsisted f D. Lndry, R. Majcher, B. Pigen and I. Liu. SURVEY DESCRIPTIONS The grid which cvers the fur claims was cmpleted in three stages.

7 During the summer f 1983 an east west base line at O Nrth was established frm O East t 1600 East. Grid lines were cut every 100 metres frm the base line t 800 Nrth (Figure 1). In February f 1984 the base line was cntinued t the west and lines 100 West t 500 West inclusive were cut t 1200 Nrth. Finally in April f 1984 lines O East t 1200 East were extended frm Tie Line 800 Nrth t 1700 Nrth. Only the nrth half f the grid, as utlined in Figure l, is cvered in this reprt. The magnetic readings were taken with a Scintrex MP-4. This instrument is a prtn precessin magnetmeter which measures the earth's ttal magnetic field t an accuracy f 4-.l gammas. The diurnal drift was mnitred every 30 secnds with a Scintrex MP-3 base statin magnetmeter. A ttal f 328 statins were sampled alng 6.4 kilmetres f line n the fur claims. The hrizntal lp EM survey was carried ut with an Apex Parametrics Max Min III using a cil separatin f 160 metres. Readings were taken every 40 metres at frequencies f 444 and 1777 Hertz. There were 169 statins read n the fur claims.

8 MAGNETIC RESULTS The magnetic results are cntured every 25 gammas n map l fund in a pcket at the end f this reprt. The readings increase frm the nrth t the suth. Part f map 2320G illustrated in Figure 2 shws that this gradient is due t a large magnetic lw centred t the nrth f the map area and a lng east west striking magnetic high t the suth. The area f lw magnetic susceptibility is prbably underlain by a granitic intrusin and the linear anmaly likely reflects irn frmatin. EM RESULTS and 3.
