5 ^GENERAL The fllwing gephysical reprt details the results f grund magnetmeter and electrmagnetic surveys undertaken by W. G. Wahl Limited n behalf f Mining Nrth Explratins Limited. The gephysics was carried ut ver three prperties within the Mining District f Kenra-Rainy River. The Main Grid and Hk Lake Grid lies apprximately 24 km nrtheast f Atikkan, ntari, and is accessible by mtr vehicle, nrth 60 km frm Sapawe by Highway 623 and secndary lumber \ rads. The Red Paint Grid is situated 7.5 km suthwest f the Main Grid and is accessible via Red Paint Lake. The third prperty, Star Island Grid, is situated 15 km nrtheast f Sapawe and is accessible by plane. The Red Paint Lake Grup cnsists f the fllwing 72 unpatented mining claims, all f which are duly recrded with Mr. Wade Mathew, Acting Mining Recrder, Thunder Bay Mining Divisin. 11 - 7 - IINE CUTTING The linecutting was cnducted under the direct supervisin f Mr. Phil Sawd, f Eva Lake, ntari, during the perid frm March 1, 1982, t April 15, The fllwing grids were established: GRID BASELINE (trend) GRID LINE (trend) MAI~N9.9 km E-W102.5 km N^S (East-West) HK LAKE 1.6 km E-W 12.0 km N-S STAR ISLAND 0.8 km E-W 7.2 km N-S RED PAINT 0.4 km E-W 2.1 km N-S 12.7 km km TTAL: km All lines were at 100m intervals alng the entire baseline and 25 m statins were established n all cut lines. MAGNETMETER SURVEY The magnetmeter survey was carried ut by R. Harwd f W. G. Wahl Limited during the perid frm March 18, 1982 t April 18, 1982, emplying a Scintrex MP-2 ttal field prtn precessin magnetmeter in cnjunctin with a Scintrex MBS-2 ttal field magnetic base statin attached t a Simpsn M2750 strip chart recrder. A ttal magnetic intensity measurement was taken at a 12.5 m statin interval n all lines f the established grid. The data was crrected fr diumal fluctuatins and reduced t lcal datum and presented as a cntured interpretatin f this data.

12 - 8 - ELECTRMAGNETIC SURVEY The VLF electrmagnetic survey was cnducted by A. Reddick during a perid frm March 18, 1982, t April 18,1982, emplying a Genics EM16. This instrument measures the in-phase and quadrature cmpnents f secndary magnetic fields radiating frm lcal cnductrs. These secndary fields are the result f primary magnetic fields frm a transmitting VLF radi statin which meet cnductive bdies in the grund. The VLF statin used in this survey was Cutler, Maine (17.8 khz). Measurements were taken at 25 m intervals and half statin readings were taken in anmalus areas n all lines f the established grid. The data fr each VLF transmitter statin has been presented in prfile frm with pssible cnductr axes. DISCUSSIN Numerus VLF - EM cnductrs which have been numbered n the maps have been cmpiled in the fllwing table. These cnductrs have been ranked int three categries based primarily n separating surface cnductrs frm the mre interesting nes at depth. 1. GD - gd chance f sulphides (quadrature fllws ppsite t the in-phase plarity) 2. PR - prbably a surface feature r perhaps a fault (quadrature fllws the in-phase r is cnstant) 3. MDERATE- between gd and pr Each cnductr is then cmpared with any assciated magnetic feature.
