BACKGROUND 1.1. Rwanda Develpment Bard (RDB) is a high level Natinal Institutin that has been established t fast track develpment activities and t spearhead investment prmtins private sectr and entrepreneurship develpment In regard t the abve, RDB thrugh Administratin Divisin seeks t hire a well experienced individual cnsultant t prvide technical expertise n a time based cntract in Supervisin f supply and installatin f furniture, building partitin with built-in electrical and LAN cabling accrding t the technical drawings already available. 2. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT The present call fr the tender aims at entrusting t qualified individual cnsultant the cntrl and supervisin f these wrks s that the assignment is dne at its highest quality level. 3. SCOPE OF WORK In rder t meet the verall bjective f the assignment, the cnsultant will require a deep cmprehensin f furniture and its specificatins, especially fr partitining with built-in electrical and LAN cabling. At minimum the fllwing deliverables are expected: In cllabratin with the RDB Building Prject Crdinatr, the cnsultant will carry ut the cntrl and supervisin f the supply and installatin f furniture, the building partitins with built-in electrical and LAN cabling, frm the starting pint till the end f the abve described wrks and supply, t ensure the quality cntrl; The cnsultant will receive and apprve all the equipment allcated t the assignment as well as the supplied items supplied by the cntractr based n apprved technical specificatins; these materials and equipment have t respnd t the requirements f quality, quantity and perfrmance n the subject; The cnsultant will apprve the calendar and the schedule updated by the cntractr and the general wrk plan fr all tasks;

3 The cnsultant will make the supervisin, surveillance, the inspectin and the cntrl f the executin f the wrks realized by the cntractr, in respect f the terms and the clauses f the tender dcument in matter f quality, cst and time schedule; The planning, the surveillance and the cntrl f the prgrams f cnstructin f the entrepreneur perating within the frame wrk f the prject; The study r analysis f any adaptatin r mdificatin f the prject and the executin plans t the circumstances f the wrks and the new data which can be cllected during the executin perid; The apprehensin in advance f the intentins and prgrams f the entrepreneur t plan in time any new case which culd arise, and immediate infrmatin t the administratin f any imprtant prblem which can affect the gd prgress f the prject; The cverage with the prgress f the wrks, the attachments and the cntradictry measurements with the entrepreneur s as t determine fr every activity the actual executed quantities He will apprve invices f the cntractr after quality assurance; He will represent the Client (RDB) in nsite meetings; He will advise the Client n any technical changes during executin and seek apprval befre implementatin. He will participate in the prvisinal and final handver (receptin) f the wrks; The cnsultant will undertake his tasks under the administratin, accrding t the rule f the art, the laws, the regulatins and standards current in Rwanda and accrding t the prescriptins appearing in the terms f reference. He is respnsible twards the administratin f the prper executin f the wrks. The administratin will cnsider the cnsultant as the interlcutr respnsible fr the entire assignment; 4. OUTPUTS/DELIVERABLES/REPORTS The fllwing utputs will be delivered in bth sft and three (03) bund hard cpies by the Cnsultant: Bi-weekly prgress reprts summarizing the supply and installatin wrks fr furniture, partitining, electrical and LAN cabling. The reprt must shw clearly: The furniture supplied, partitins supplied and installed, electrical and LAN equipment supplied and installed; Prblems encuntered during installatin wrks and slutin taken; Prgress f cntract executin; Apprvals n invice payments; Financial reprt. Final Reprt summarizing the technical prgress reprt with each flr partitin schematic f final partitin and seating and financial reprt indicating the final cst f the prject.

4 5. CONSULTANT S PROFILE The cnsultant must have at minimum A 0 in Interir design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, r any related t cnstructin matters r field. The cnsultant must be with experience f at least five years in the cntrl f the building wrks, especially partitining wrks with electrical built-in and LAN cabling. This cnsultant shuld prve enugh skills and cmpetences in furniture, partitining, electrical and LAN cabling, quantity surveying and cntract administratin; He must: Be familiar with cabling system; Have dne similar wrks in the dmain f supplying furniture, building cabling and partitins in large Institutins; (gd perfrmance certificate are t be prvided with all references t verify the data); Have skills t read, interpret and understand drawings dne by ther peple; Updated and well detailed Curriculum Vitae as per the template herewith attached shuld be given The understanding f the terms f references (assignment) shuld be prvided by the cnsultant; 6. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT The duratin f the assignment is estimated fr perid f 150 calendar days. 7. REPORTING ARRANGEMENTS The Cnsultant will be hired based n a time based cntract f the assignment. During the curse f the assignment, the Cnsultant will reprt t the Chief Financial Officer f RDB and wrk clsely with the RDB Netwrk Specialist, Estate Officer and Administratin Divisin Manager.
