5 Dispatching cntrl Cntrl is perfrmed n the basis f bilateral cntracts with distributin cmpanies fr electricity transmissin and dispatching cntrl Operatinal cperatin with Transdniestrian enterprises is based n the bilateral agreement with the State Unitary Enterprise GC Dniester Energ Cperatin with Ukraine is based n the technical agreement n ensuring parallel peratin f Ukrainian Intercnnected Pwer System and Mldavian grid. Cperatin with Rmania is based n the Cnventins n the peratin f interstate transmissin lines (fur 110 kv transmissin lines and ne 400 kv transmissin line) The highest level f cntrl is the dispatcher f the Central Dispatch Service f SE Mldelectrica wh interacts with reginal dispatchers f the subsidiaries f SE Mldelectrica, dispatchers f ther grid cmpanies, and shift engineers f pwer plants. SE Mldelectrica wns 400, 330, 110 and 35 kv netwrks f Mldavian energy grid (nly in the nrthern part) in the right bank part f the Dniester river. 110 kv netwrk nearby Chisinau belngs t Unin Fensa cmpany. In the left bank area, the high-vltage netwrk belngs t the State Unitary Enterprise GC Dniester Energ.

6 Cnnectin t the ENTSO-E system In March 2006 a jint applicatin f Ukraine and Mldva was submitted thrugh the Rmanian system peratr Transelectrica fr the synchrnus cnnectin t the UCTE (since ENTSO-E) as a unit. Fr several years the experts f SE "Mldelectrica", NEC "Ukrenerg ", CNTEE "Transelectrica" tgether with the Ministry f Ecnmy f the Republic f Mldva and the Ministry f Ecnmy f Rmania have been preparing dcuments fr the financing f a feasibility study fr cnnectin f the Mldavian and Ukrainian energy systems t ENTSO-E. The final versin f the Cntract f financing f feasibility study was signed in Octber The main partners f the Ministry f Ecnmy f the Republic f Mldva in this prject are the Ministry f Ecnmy and Trade f Rmania and the Ministry f Energy and Cal Industry f Ukraine. With due regard t the prvisins f the Cntract n financing the parties started discussins f the draft Service Agreement which will be cncluded between the Ministry f Ecnmy f the Republic f Mldva and the Cnsrtium f ENTSO-E. The final wrking meeting dedicated t this subject held n December 20, 2013 was attended by representatives f the Cnsrtium f ENTSO-E, the Ministry f Ecnmy and Trade f the Rmania, the Ministry f Ecnmy f the Republic f Mldva, CNTEE "Transelectrica", SE "Mldelectrica" and NEC "Ukrenerg". Cnclusin f the Service Agreement will allw the develpment f feasibility study fr cnnecting the Mldavian and Ukrainian energy systems t ENTSO-E, in which the feasibility f implementatin f such prject will be determined by the pssibility f implementing this prject, as well as all measures that Mldavian and Ukrainian energy systems will have t undertake t get cnnected t ENTSO-E.

8 Develpment strategy f transmissin netwrk Sufficient cnnectin capacity between Mldva and Rmania Currently the intercnnectr Mldva-Rmania cnsists f ne transmissin line f 400 kv Vulcanesti Isakcha. T increase capacity and t ensure reliability it is necessary t establish new cnnectins with Rmania which will allw imprting electricity frm Rmania in a reliable way and cntributing t the diversificatin f electricity market. T achieve this gal the natinal develpment strategy envisages establishing the required minimum f tw additinal cnnectins Beltsy - Suchava f 400 kv and Streshen Iasi f 400 kv. Enhancing cnnectin capacity between Mldva and Ukraine Electricity imprts frm the Ukrainian system has technical limitatins and depends n the demand level f the Odessa regin f Ukraine and n the perating mde f the Mldavian TPP. T increase Mldva-Ukraine transmissin capacity the natinal strategy envisages a prject f the secnd transmissin line Beltsy Dniester HPP. Develpment f internal transmissin netwrk The internal transmissin netwrk capacity f 330 kv requires mdernisatin and develpment in rder t avid any limitatins. The natinal strategy includes prjects f duplicatin f existing crridrs and the develpment f crss-cnnectin..

9 On-ging prjects Mdernizatin f pwer equipment Currently SE Mldelectrica is facing a prblem f depreciatin and bslescence f the equipment. Sme equipment has been in peratin fr ver 40 years. At present 60-70% f the netwrk equipment perated by Mldelectrica are depreciated and bslete. First stage f mdernisatin f depreciated equipment was cnducted within the implementatin f the 2nd Energy prject. The prject was funded by the Wrld Bank. Within this stage the fllwing has been implemented: - mdernisatin f equipment f 330 kv substatins and partial recnstructin f 110 kv substatins and high vltage transmissin lines; - installatin f the new autmatic system fr cmmercial measurement f pwer cnsumptin; - installatin f the new SCADA system. Secnd stage f mdernisatin f equipment invlves: - replacement f transfrmers at certain substatins f 330 kv and 110 kv; - replacement f switchgear at certain substatins f 110 kv; - recnstructin f 400 kv switchyard at Vulcanesti substatin and 110 kv switchyard at three substatins f 110 kv; - mdernisatin f 110 kv transmissin lines f ttal length f 128 km. Wrks f the secnd stage f equipment recnstructin and mdernisatin will be financed by the EBRD lan (20 mln.usd), EIB (17 mln. Eurs) and Eurpean funds (grant f 8 mln. Eurs) 400 kv transmissin line Beltsy-Suchava Feasibility study and envirnment impact assessment were cmpleted. Bth studies were funded by the Eurpean Bank fr Recnstructin and Develpment. Next steps are design and cnstructin.

10 Renewable energy surces Over technical specificatins fr cnnectin t the grid f RES pwer statins f ttal cntracted installed capacity 1030 MV were issued. Last year three small RES pwer plants were put int peratin in Mldva. These are: MW wind pwer plant near Bratushany village; kw pwer statin n municipal slid waste landfill farm at Tsyntsareny village; - 2 MW pwer statin using bigas prduced frm mlded scraps f sugar prductin in Drkia. Natinal strategy and recently adpted Reslutin n apprval f the RES Natinal Actin Plan fr dated envisages prductin f 10% cnsumed electricity frm renewable surces by 2020.
