From June 21-Sept 4, visit any participating quilt shop and they will give you a free pattern for the row they designed for the theme this year. Collect and make at least 8 rows from the 2018 event and be the first to bring in your finished quilt, bound and labeled, to a participating shop to win that shop s Grand Prize! If you want! Many shops will have kits for their row to make it even easier for you. 2 Class Policies: Sign ups will begin on June 16, 2018 at 10 am You may register in person at the store, by calling the store, or through our website. Class fee must be paid at time of registration. Please get supply lists in advance. Most classes require some preparation. Please purchase supplies at our shop. (This helps if there is a cutting oops and you need more fabric!) 10% discount will be given on all fabrics, books, patterns, and notions for class projects. Class credit will be given if we are notified of cancellation at least ONE WEEK in advance. Sorry, NO RE- FUNDS. If class is full, please put your name on waiting list. *Waiting list people will be contacted first if class is repeated at a later time. We sell PFAFF Sewing Machines! Saturday Classes Old Glory Create this marvelous Americana wall hanging inspired by Kim Diehl. Class techniques to include Bloc-Loc rulers for flying geese and half square triangles. Kits are available for those wishing to make the patterns exactly like the sample. This class is better suited for nonbeginners. Book purchase and rotary cutting experience required. July with Natalie $25.00 Pinwheel Kaleidoscope Quilt Using the Kaleidoscope Bloc Loc Ruler set (choice in sizes available) and the book, Kaleidoscope Heaven, create this striking pinwheel design with ease! The sample is a babysized quilt but a table runner or larger quilt is an option. Rotary cutting experience, ruler and book purchase required. August with Mindy $25 Farmstead Harvest Square-Up This fun four-patch quilt looks amazing using Kim Diehl s Farmstead Harvest line of fabric but you can use any fabrics you like. August with Cyndy $25.00 Flag of Our Fathers Union Jack Inspired by a trip to the UK, this pillow is a must for all fans of England. In this class you will learn how to paper piece. Pattern will be supplied to only those attending the class. Three days of sewing, laughter, good food, friendship, and learning. You work on your own projects, so it s a great time to get some gifts made and be ahead of the game! 3 Class Sign-ups begin June 16 at 10 am...class Sign-ups begin June 16 at 10 am Beginning Quilting This class will introduce you to the basic techniques of quilting while creating 3 wonderful projects. Classes will include the safe and proper use of the rotary cutter (needed for nearly all quilting projects of today), and achieving a 1/4 inch seam. Beginning Quilting will prepare you for nearly all classes presented at Quilts and Treasures, Inc. We ll be happy to help you choose your fabrics. Class discount on all class supplies. Mondays 6:30-8:30pm with Mindy $65.00 June 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Aug 6 Beginning Machine Quilting This introductory class in Machine Quilting will teach you how to use your sewing machine to achieve beautiful results as an alternative to tying your quilts. The class will cover cross hatching, echoing, stippling, and other free motion techniques. Walking foot and darning (stippling) foot for your machine required. Quarter inch foot is helpful. These are great evenings to work on or finish projects, meet other sewers, and get some inspiration. We lock you in from 6 pm to midnight. Members of our Batik, Reproduction Fabrics, Scrap and Pfaff clubs have been given the same block and told to add borders to get to 18 square. Each club has a challenge: Batik use batik fabrics Reproduction use Repro fabrics Scrap use 5 or more fabrics Pfaff use a machine technique And if someone is in more than one club.they need to do both challenges in one quilt!
