2 Road Trip! Please join us for the third annual road trip to the Chicago Spring Quilt Show Saturday, April 18. Ride in a luxury bus and leave the driving to us! Included in your $60.00 sign up fee is admittance for one to the quilt show, and travel accommodations. For your convenience there will be one pit stop each way. You are responsible for your own meals. The bus departs from Lakeview square mall at 7:00 am sharp so be there early! The bus returns somewhere between 10pm 10:30pm Stop in today to sign up for this day-long adventure! It s that time of year again! Time to sign up for the employee blocks of the month. You choose how many you would like to do. They are $2.25 if you pick up your block by the date or add a buck if you are late. ($3.25) Sign up for 4 and get the 5th one free! IF you would like to add Thursday to your weekend, the cost is $275. You can save $30 with your retreat bucks. The class covers fabric selection, cutting, piecing, hand quilting and binding a small project. Each phase of the quilting process is explained. The final product is 30 x 30 Machine Quilting Instructor: Wanda Date: Tues March 10 & 17 Times: 10:30-1:30pm or 6-9pm Class Fee: $ sessions You ve finished that pile of quilt tops, now what? Learn to machine quilt from an award winning quilter! Wanda teaches you how to layer, set up your machine, what thread to use, and what stitches to make to quilt your way through that pile of UFO s. Each class has a supply list; please ask for one when you register for class. Supplies listed are required for class. To comply with copyright laws, each student must have their own book or pattern required for class. No children of guests are allowed in classes. Please turn your cell phones off before class. You must prepay for your class to be registered for it. Classes will be cancelled by us one week prior to the first class if insufficient enrollment. No go class tuition can be put towards another class or a gift certificate. Class fees will be applied to another class or a gift certificate ONLY if you cancel your class more than 10 days before the start of the class.

Gumdrop Pillow Instructor: Ruth Date: January 24 Time: 12-3pm Class Fee: $18 1 session Amy Butler has wonderful style. This adorable gumdrop pillow comes in two sizes. We made the smaller version. The triangular panels splay around the top of the pillow to add interest to the design. Fill this pillow with a mountain of stuffing and you are ready to lean or lounge. We feel so lucky to be around them everyday we work. We do realize, however, that our customers can t always afford to buy every single new book and notion that comes out! So we have decided to help you narrow down what books and notions are really great to put on your MUST BUY list. Each newsletter a member of our staff will review a new book or notion. This book has some great projects (9) for your little one. The fabric that goes with the book looks like an I Spy quilt and there is very bright colored panel blocks. The baby quilts in the book use the panel blocks of beez. The beez in another of the quilts is appliquéd. Several of the projects use the jumbo rick-rack that we carry. How fun is this!!
