Gldsmith, Flrida State University, U.S.A Publisher: Emerald Full chapters due date: March 30, 2011 Expected bk publicatin: April 2012 TOPIC GUIDELINES LENGTH OF CHAPTERS Each chapter will be n mre than 7,000 wrds (duble spaced text in 12 pint Times New Rman) in length including references, tables and figures. Intrductry chapters will be n mre than 3,000 wrds in length including references, tables, and figures. CHAPTER TITLE A title f nt mre than 10 wrds shuld be prvided. Titles are capitalized and bld. PAGES BEFORE MAIN CHAPTER HEADINGS e.g. THE APPLICATION OF RELATIONSHIP MARKETING IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY Title Page (page 1). Supply names f authrs and full address and affiliatin and address n title page, with list f any acknwledgements. This page shuld be submitted nly with the final versin f the chapter. Bigraphical nte (page 2). Supply a shrt bigraphical nte (5 lines) giving all authrs full name, appintment, and institutin r rganizatin/cmpany, and recent prfessinal attainments. Abstract (page 3). An abstract f n mre than 250 wrds presenting the mst imprtant issues f the chapter shuld be included. Headings must be shrt, with a clear indicatin f the distinctin between the hierarchy f headings. The preferred frmat is fr headings t be presented in capital bld frmat, fr sub-headings in bld frmat and further sub-headings in italics-bld frmat. The first sentence after each heading shuld nt be intended whereas authrs shuld try t avid mre than three levels f headings. e.g. 1 st level heading centered

Destinatin branding is a cntemprary strategic apprach. Ensure that tables/figures/illustratins are cmplete with necessary superscripts shwn, bth next t the relevant items and with the crrespnding explanatins r levels f significance shwn as ftntes in the tables and figures. All Figures (charts, diagrams and line drawings) shuld be submitted electrnically. Figures shuld be f clear quality, in black and white and numbered cnsecutively e.g. Fig. 1, Fig. 2 If any figure has sub-parts please label as Fig.1a, Fig.1b Tables shuld be numbered cnsecutively e.g. Table 1, Table 2 Illustratins shuld als be submitted electrnically. D nt use screen dumps since their reslutin is t lw. Make sure illustratins are clearly labelled (label the illustratin with the chapter and figure number). Files f illustratins/figures are ptinal, but will be used if pssible. Fr usable file frmats, please nte the fllwing: 1. If the riginal figure/illustratin is created in Phtshp (Halftnes 300/600 dpi, linetne dpi, Lineart dpi), send the files in tiff r jpg frmat. 2. If the riginal figure/illustratin is created in Adbe Illustratr, send the files in ai, eps, wmf r svg frmat. 3. If the riginal figure/illustratin is created in CrelDraw, send the files in cdr, wpg, wmf r cmx frmat. 4. If the riginal figure/illustratin is created in Chemdraw, send the files in cdx r chm frmat. 5. If the riginal figure/illustratin is created in MS Wrd r MS Excel r MS Pwerpint, send the files in dc r xls r ppt frmat respectively. 6. Electrnic figures created in ther applicatins shuld be cpied frm the riginatin sftware and pasted int a blank MS Wrd dcument r saved and imprted int a MS Wrd dcument; chse Insert frm the menu bar, Picture frm the drp-dwn menu and select Frm File... t chse the

3 graphic t be imprted. Alternatively, electrnic figures created in ther applicatins shuld be exprted t PDF frmat r t any f the frmats mentined in pints 1 t 5 abve. Graphics may be supplied in clur t facilitate their appearance in clur if hsted nline but will be printed in black and white. Nte: In general we charge fr clur printing. Please cnsult the Editr r the Publisher. T pepare screenst, simultaneusly press the Alt and Print screen keys n the keybard, pen a blank Micrsft Wrd dcument and simultaneusly press Ctrl and V t paste the image. Tables shuld be typed and included as part f the manuscript. They shuld nt be submitted as graphic elements. Supply succinct and clear captins fr all tables, figures and plates. 6 MATHEMATICS CHARACTERS, FOOTNOTES AND ENDNOTES APPENDICES Fr reasns f cnversin it is preferred, albeit nt mandatry, that mathematics/linguistic characters in the file are prduced thrugh the facilities f the prgram itself (e.g. the equatin editr f MS Wrd, r LaTeX fr maths). If the equatins have been prduced by making use f sme special prgram ther than that used fr the bdy f the text, the cnversin t the typesetting system is a mre cmplex matter. Equatin numbering and citatin Equatins are nt punctuated. Eqs. (1) and (2) abbreviated even at start f sentence. All single letter variables and cnstants are t be made italic. Subscripts and superscripts are rman if they are nt variables. T differentiate the vectrs and matrices frm scalar parameters/variables, please use the fllwing fnt specificatin: Vectrs: Bld and italics r italics with verhead arrw (e.g., vectr x, t r ) Matrices: Bld and Rman (e.g., matrix A r AT) Scalar variable: Italics (e.g., variable x r y) PERMISSIONS Direct Qutatins: When quting, always prvide the authr, year, and specific page citatin r paragraph number fr nnpaginated material. Failure t d s may lead t lengthy delays in publicatin. Emerald is unable t publish any chapter which has permissins pending. The rights Emerald require are: 1. 7 and refer t the surce in the reference list. 5. Authrs shuld nt assume that any cntent which is freely available n the web is free t use. Authrs shuld check the website fr details f the cpyright hlder t seek permissin fr re-use. CHAPTER SUBMISSION REVIEWING PROCESS Emerald is a member f the STM Assciatin and participates in the reciprcal free exchange f material with ther STM members. This may mean that in sme cases, authrs d nt need t clear permissin fr re-use f cntent. If s, please highlight this upn submissin. Authrs shuld check the STM website t find participating publishers and fllw STM's permissins guidelines. All authrs ntified that their abstract/chapter has been accepted fr the bk, shuld submit a full chapter by March 30, Please submit yur chapter as a wrd dcument withut the authr(s) infrmatin (pages 1 and 2) via t bth f the editrs f the bk, Dr. Rdula H.
