Hw t get arund in VR: 1. T change what yu can see, just mve yur head. Yur field f view instantly fllws wherever yu're lking in the current envirnment. 2. In Oculus Hme, as well as in many games and apps, yu'll see a pinter in the centre f yur field f view t help yu select items mre precisely. 3. T select an item, lk at it, then press the select buttn n the Oculus remte r the A buttn n the Xbx cntrller.

2 4. Nte: Use these steps t select games r apps in Oculus Hme, r t select items and ptins within an app. Yu may prefer r need t use the Oculus remte r the Xbx cntrller in certain games and apps. 5. T mve arund in mre cmplicated menus, use the navigatin disk n the Oculus remte r the left thumbstick n the Xbx cntrller. 6. T g back t a previus screen, press the back buttn n the Oculus remte r the B buttn n the Xbx cntrller.

3 7. T change yur height within certain games and apps, yu can cruch r kneel. Yu can als step frwards, backwards r sideways. Just make sure that yu still have a line f sight t the Oculus sensr. Nte: Make sure that yu use the Rift in an area clear frm furniture r ther bstacles. We recmmend standing r using a rtating desk chair fr the best results. Fr mre infrmatin n using the Rift safely, see ur full Health & Safety Warnings. The Universal Menu Yu can access key features and infrmatin in the Universal Menu frm almst anywhere in Rift. T pen the Universal Menu, press the Oculus buttn n the Oculus remte r the Xbx buttn n the Xbx cntrller. Yu'll see status infrmatin at the tp f the screen. Belw that, select ne f several ptins:

4 1. Time and date. 2. Oculus remte cnnectin status. 3. Xbx cntrller cnnectin status. 4. Oculus accunt infrmatin. 5. Activity yur current game r app. 6. Ntificatins recent alerts, including apps r dwnlads that need attentin. 7. Friends see lists f yur current friends and yur friend requests. 8. Exit t Hme return t Oculus Hme. 9.

5 Vlume lk at yur desired level n the vlume bar and press the select buttn n the Oculus remte r the A buttn n the Xbx cntrller t adjust the vlume in yur On-ear Headphnes. Yu can als use the vlume buttns n the Oculus remte at any time. 10. Reset View reset yur field f view based n yur current head psitin. This nly applies fr individual games r apps. Yu can reset yur view f Oculus Hme using the steps in Rift Basic Trubleshting. 11. Change Lens Spacing use the calibratin screen t find the right psitin fr the headset's lens slider. 12. D Nt Disturb mute incming alerts and ntificatins. This feature is turned ff by default. Nte: T exit withut selecting an ptin, press the Oculus buttn n the Oculus remte r the Xbx buttn n the Xbx cntrller. Rift Headset and Lens Care Hw t care fr the Rift headset and its lenses: 1. Handle the headset with care. Never drp it r treat it rughly. 2. Dn't directly expse the lenses t sunlight, lasers r ther strng light surces. 3. Dn't leave the headset in extremely ht lcatins, such as in a car n a sunny day. 4. Use the included lens clth t keep the lenses clean f dust and smudges. Wipe using a spiral mtin, starting at the centre. Avid using lens cleaner unnecessarily. Lens cleaners that cntain alchl r ther strng slvents may damage yur lenses. If yu can't clean the lenses with the lens clth alne, use a specially frmulated cleaner such as Ultra Clarity lens cleaner by Nanfilm, r Sparkle Optical Lens Cleaner by A.J. Funk & C. Never spray any type f cleaner directly n r in the headset. Apply lens cleaner t the lens clth instead. Clean the lens clth itself peridically with mild sap and water. Rinse thrughly. Nte: If yu need t clean the main strap r the facial interface where the headset tuches yur face, use a baby wipe r similar. Dry the facial interface thrughly befre use.
