Cpies f "Single Variable Calculus fr Scientists and Engineers" by Briggs, Cchran and Gillet shuld be available at the UM bkstre n the Orn campus. If yu have a different calculus text that yu are cmfrtable with, it will prbably be adequate. Cntact me if yu have any dubts. Assignments: Once the curse gets underway, yu shuld be able t access hmewrk assignments at the URL Typically, yur username will be yur last name (all small letters) and yur passwrd will be yur 7-digit MaineStreet student ID number used fr curse registratin. Once in Student Center, g t the "Demgraphic Data" link under the Persnal Infrmatin bar.

If yu have truble lgging in t WebWrK there are usually tw reasns: either smene else registered in the curse shares yur last name, in which case try appending the number 1 r 2 r higher t yur username; r yu registered fr the curse after the first fficial day f class, in which case alert me f yur registratin by and I will set up yur accunt. After successfully lgging int WebWrK, yu shuld see a list f prblem sets with due dates. Clicking n a prblem set will reveal a list f prblems. Yu have the ptin f dwnlading and printing a hard cpy f the list s that yu can wrk the prblems ff-line. Yu can d this using WebWrK's dwnlad buttn, r by printing prblems individually using yur web brwser's print feature. When yu're ready t enter yur answers, just click n each prblem, enter the answer(s) in the bx(es), click "Preview Answers" at the bttm f the page t check that WebWrK is interpreting yur answers as yu intended, and if that's the case then click "Check Answers". If yur answer is crrect, WebWrK will state this in green, and yu will receive credit fr the prblem. If yur answer is incrrect, WebWrK will state this in red, and yu will be given an pprtunity t try the prblem again. Yu can click the " instructr" buttn t send me feedback if there is a particular prblem that yu're having difficulty with. In fact, this is the best way t cntact me cncerning specific WebWrK prblems, because WebWrK sends me additinal infrmatin abut the prblem autmatically when yu use this feature. Midterm Test and Final Exam: UMaine Campus in Orn: Yu d nt need t sign up fr this testing site; just shw up at the scheduled time.!
