This set is legal fr sanctined Cnstructed play frm February 22 nd, New keywrd pwers Absrb is a keywrd pwer that cards can have. It means: When this character deals cmbat damage t a her, it heals that much damage frm yur her. Multiple instances f Absrb n a single character are cumulative. If a character with three instances f Absrb deals cmbat damage t a her, it will generate three triggered effects that each heal its cntrller s her fr the amunt f damage dealt. Ech is a keywrd pwer that cards can have. It means: When yu play this ability, if yu cntrl tw r mre allies that share a [Hrde] r [Alliance] race, cpy this ability. The Hrde and Alliance races are: Bld Elf, Draenei, Dwarf, Gnme, Gblin, Human, Night Elf, Orc, Tauren, Trll, Undead, and Wrgen. N ther tag is a Hrde r Alliance Race. This is a duble-check pwer. It will nt trigger if yu d nt cntrl tw allies that share a Hrde r Alliance race, and if yu n lnger cntrl tw allies that share a race when it reslves, it will d nthing. Yu may chse new targets fr the cpy. Any ther chices made fr the riginal are cpied. The cpies are nt played, but simply added t the chain. They will nt trigger pwers that lk fr a card being played. Rift is a keywrd pwer that cards can have. It means: Chse a [Hrde] r [Alliance] race. Yu pay (1) less t play this card fr each ally yu cntrl f the chsen race. The Hrde and Alliance races are: Bld Elf, Draenei, Dwarf, Gnme, Gblin, Human, Night Elf, Orc, Tauren, Trll, Undead, and Wrgen. N ther tag is a Hrde r Alliance Race. Timewalker Allies The Timewalker allies in Betrayal f the Guardian have bth the [Hrde] and [Alliance] icns, and therefre are cnsidered bth [Hrde] and [Alliance] allies. They can be played in yur deck if yur her als has at least ne f thse icns. 2. Returning keywrd pwers Bldrush is a tag wrd that cards can have. It can dente duble-check triggered pwers that trigger while an ppsing her has mre damage than yur her. It can als dente cntinuus pwers that are nly active while an ppsing her has mre damage than yur her. A triggered Bldrush pwer will nly trigger if an ppsing her has mre damage than yur her at the time it wuld trigger. If, n reslutin, an ppsing her des nt have mre damage than yur her, it will d nthing. In a multiplayer game, triggered Bldrush pwers will trigger and cntinuus Bldrush pwers are active as lng as any ne ppnent s her has mre damage than yurs, regardless f what ppnent wuld be affected by thse pwers. Haste X is a keywrd pwer that cards can have. It means: Yu pay X less t play this card if an ally yu cntrl dealt damage t an ppsing her this turn. Multiple instances f Haste are cumulative. If an ally has Haste 1 and Haste 2, it csts 3 less t play if an ally yu cntrl dealt cmbat damage t an ppsing her this turn. Haste des nt change the cst f a card. Spellshield is a keywrd pwer that cards can have. It means: This card can t be targeted by ppnents. Tribe is a tag wrd that cards can have. It dentes pwers that trigger when a Tauren ally enters play under yur cntrl. If a cntinuus mdifier causes an ally entering play under yur cntrl t becme a Tauren, r adds Tauren t its types, it des s in time fr any Tribe pwers already in play t trigger. Unity is a tag wrd that cards can have. It can dente duble-check triggered pwers that trigger while yu cntrl three r mre Human allies. 3 A triggered Unity pwer will nly trigger if yu cntrl three r mre Human allies at the time it wuld trigger. If, n reslutin, yu n lnger cntrl at least three Human allies, it will d nthing. 3. Returning cncepts Basic is a label that appears n sme pwers, and n the type line f nn-instant abilities. It means Play this card/use this pwer nly during yur nn-cmbat Actin Phase while the chain is empty. 4. Timewalkers blck heres Betrayal f the Guardian features the heres f the Timewalker blck, als fund in War f the Ancients. Each her in the Timewalkers blck has tw pwers, ne n the frnt and ne n the back. Each her starts the game with the frnt side face-up, and the pwer n that side active. As a cst t use the pwer n the frnt f each her, it is turned face-dwn, and the pwer n the back becmes active. The pwer n the back f each her can nly be used nce per game. Once the Once per game pwer n the back f a her has been used, it cannt be used again in the same game, even if it is flipped face-up (and then back face dwn) after the pwer has been used. Timewalkers blck Mnster heres have n special deckbuilding restrictins, s nrmal deckbuilding rules apply. 5. Specific Cards Aegwynn, Guardian f Tirisfal, 8, Master Her Human Mage, 0 [Arcane], 32 Health When yur her becmes Aegwynn, add three tirisfal cunters t her. [Activate], Remve a tirisfal cunter >>> Target ally has Elusive this turn. [Activate], Remve a tirisfal cunter >>> Draw a card, then discard a card. While Aegwynn has n tirisfal cunters n her: [Activate] >>> Put a tken cpy f each ally yu cntrl int play. Giving an ally Elusive in respnse t a cmbat prpsal will cause that prpsal t be illegal and t becme interrupted n reslutin. The prpsed attacker will nt exhaust, and may prpse a different attack. Giving an ally Elusive after a cmbat prpsal has reslved will nt end that cmbat. 4 At the start f yur turn, remve the tp card f yur deck frm the game. [Basic] [Activate] >>> Fr each ally remved this way, put a 1 [Arcane] / 1 [Health] Raven Spirit ally tken int play. Fr each ability remved this way, yur her heals 1 damage frm target her r ally. Fr each equipment remved this way, yur her deals 1 arcane damage t each ppsing her. [Basic] (12), Destry Atiesh >>> Yu may play any number f cards remved this way withut paying their csts. Atiesh s first payment pwer requires a target t activate, even if n abilities have been remved frm the game with its pwer. If that target is illegal when the link reslves, it is interrupted by the game and nthing happens. It creates ne packet f healing and ne packet f damage regardless f the number f each card type remved frm the game, s mdifiers that increase r decrease damage r healing will nly apply nce fr each time this pwer is activated. When reslving the secnd payment pwer, cards are added t the chain ne at a time, ignring timing restrictins, but fllwing all ther applicable rules fr adding links. Quests and lcatins can t be played. The player wh activated the pwer chses the rder thse cards are added t the chain. Since this happens while a link is reslving, n player will have pririty t take an actin until after all such cards have been added t the chain. Each card will reslve separately after all such links have been added, beginning with the card that was added last, fllwing nrmal timing rules fr the reslutin f links. Critical Mass, 5, Mage, Basic Ability Fire Fire Talent (Yu can t put Arcane Talents r Frst Talents in yur deck.) Reveal cards frm the tp f yur deck until yu reveal tw cards with the same cst. Yur her deals 1 fire damage t each ppsing her and ally fr each card revealed this way. Then shuffle thse revealed cards int yur deck. Any X in a cst is treated as 0. Quests and lcatins are cnsidered t have a cst f zer. If n tw cards in yur deck have the same cst, reveal them all, deal that much fire damage, and shuffle yur deck. Crusade f Kings, X, Paladin, Basic Ability Prtectin This ability enters play with X crusade cunters. Onging: Allies with cst equal t the number f crusade cunters n this ability have +1 / +1 fr each crusade cunter. Each Crusade f Kings in play cunts nly the number f cunters n itself. A Demnic Presence, Quest Pay (2) t cmplete this quest. Reward: An ppnent chses ne: Yur her heals 2 damage frm itself; r yur her deals 2 shadw damage t that ppnent's her. If yu cntrl a Demn ally, he must chse bth. This card has received errata. The bld text abve updates the printed text. Add a +1 ATK cunter t this weapn fr each revealed ally, then put all revealed cards int their wner s graveyard. Only cards revealed by Despair will be put int their wner s graveyard when it reslves. Dm Cmmander Zaakuul, 5, Mnster Ally Dmguard Demn, 3 [Shadw], 6 Health Mnster Her Required When anther nn-tken ally yu cntrl is destryed, put a tken cpy f that ally int play that is als a Demn Mnster. The tkens put int play by Zaakuul s pwer have Demn and Mnster as printed ally types, in additin t its ther types, and cpies f thse tkens will als be Demn Mnsters. Durtan, 5, Hrde, Ally Orc Warrir, Durtan (1), 7 [Melee], 7 Health When Durtan enters play, discard yur hand. Durtan can prtect Draka and Thrall allies yu cntrl. Durtan is lking fr any allies with a Thrall r Draka tag specifically. He will nt be able t prtect Thrall, Warchief f the Hrde r Warchief Thrall, because they d nt have the Thrall tag. Ethereal Spellfilcher, 6, Mnster Ally Ethereal Mage, 3 [Arcane], 3 Health When this ally enters play, gain cntrl f target ability. If it s attached, yu may reattach it. Yu may reattach that ability t any card that matches its attach descriptin, even if that card is Untargetable. If there s n ther legal hst, that attachment stays where it is. Yu d nt gain cntrl f the hst. Yu may nly target abilities in play. Flating Spellbk, 1, Ally Spellbk, 0 [Arcane], 1 Health Elusive Spellshield Yu have n maximum hand size. Increasing r decreasing yur maximum hand size while yu cntrl Flating Spellbk has n effect. Flating Spellbk s mdifier applies in time stamp rder with any mdifier that sets yur maximum hand size t a specific number. Frst Stasis, 3, Mage, Basic Ability Frst Attachment Attach t target ppsing ally. Onging: Attached ally can t attack r exhaust. 6 This pwer triggers each time damage is dealt t the attached ally and will put tkens int play n reslutin even if that ally was destryed by smething else, such as anther instance f this trigger, r because the damage that caused it t trigger was fatal. Greater Fleshbeast, 3, Mnster Ally Fleshbeast, 4 [Nature], 2 Health Fleshbeast des nt cunt as Beast. Khadgar, 5, Alliance, Ally Human Mage, Khadgar (1), 7 [Arcane], 4 Health Yu pay (2) less t play abilities, t a minimum f (1). When yu play an ability, yu may ready Khadgar. The t a minimum f 1 restrictin applies nly t this cst reductin. If multiple cst reductins wuld apply t a cst, yu may apply them in any rder, ptentially reducing the cst f an ability t 0 while yu cntrl Khadgar. Krah Icefang, 4, Hrde, Ally Orc Mage, 3 [Frst], 3 Health When this ally enters play, duble the ATK f target ally this turn. Mdifiers that duble an ATK value are applied after all ther mdifiers affecting that ATK. Lady Vltaire, 3, Alliance, Ally Human Death Knight, 0 [Frst], 9 Health Unity: While yu cntrl three r mre Human allies, if anther Human ally yu cntrl wuld be dealt damage, yu may have it be dealt t this ally instead. Checks fr fatal damage ccur nly as a player is abut t receive pririty, and nt while a card r effect is reslving. This means that damage that wuld be dealt simultaneusly t multiple Human allies yu cntrl by the same link while this Unity pwer is active can all be redirected t Lady Vltaire, including multiple packets f damage that wuld exceed her health. If multiple links are reslving t deal damage t Human allies yu cntrl, yu will nly be able t redirect damage t Lady Vltaire until she has been dealt fatal damage by ne f thse links. Makuna Hatada, 4, Hrde, Ally Tauren Druid, 4 [Melee], 4 Health [Basic] (5) >>> This and ther allies yu cntrl have +5 ATK, Absrb, and Smash this turn. Each time yu activate this pwer, allies yu cntrl will gain the bnus it prvides. Additinal instances f Absrb will trigger independently. Additinal instances f Smash will nt have an additinal effect. The randmizatin f which type f ally t put int play ccurs while the triggered effect is reslving. N player will receive pririty between the type f ally being chsen and it entering play. Shade f Aran, 5, Mnster Ally Spirit Mage, Aran (1), 5 [Arcane] / 5 Health Mnster Her Required As Aran enters play and as yur turn starts, yu may chse anther ally. If yu d, Aran has all pwers f the chsen ally until the start f yur next turn. Shade f Aran s pwer is nt a triggered pwer, and cannt be respnded t. Only an ally in play can be chsen. If the chsen ally leaves play, Shade keeps thse pwers until the start f his cntrller s next turn. If Shade s cntrller chses an ally with an enters play triggered pwer as Shade is entering play, he des s in time fr that pwer t trigger, but any as enters play pwers f the chsen ally will nt be prcessed. Start f turn triggers frm an ally chsen as a turn starts will be gained in time t trigger n that turn, but will be lst befre they can trigger n the fllwing turn. Any start f turn as pwers f the chsen ally are gained t late t be prcessed, and expire befre they can be prcessed at the start f the next turn. Staff f Infinite Mysteries, 5, DrMaPrShL, Equipment 2H Weapn Staff, Melee (1), 1 [Arcane], 8 Strike (4), [Activate], Destry this weapn >>> Search target ppnent's deck fr a card, then that ppnent names a card. If yu searched fr the named card, that ppnent puts it int his hand. Otherwise, remve that card frm the game, and yu may play that card withut paying its cst. This card has received errata. If the card yu searched fr is remved frm the game by the Staff s pwer, yu must chse whether r nt t play it immediately. Yu will nt be able t play the card at a later time. If yu chse t play the card, it is added t the chain, ignring timing restrictins, but fllwing all ther applicable rules fr adding links. Quests and lcatins can t be played. Yur her deals X nature damage divided as yu chse t any number f target heres and/r allies. When playing Strm f the Ages, first chse a value fr X, then apply the cst reductin frm Rift. Reducing the cst des nt affect the value chsen fr X, and yu will deal X damage regardless f hw much yu end up paying. Terestian Illhf, 5, Mnster Ally Satyr Demn Warlck, Terestian (1), 2 [Shadw], 6 Health When this ally enters play, Prtal (Reveal the tp three cards f yur deck. Yu may put a revealed Demn ally with cst less than this ally s cst int play. Put the remaining cards n the bttm f yur deck.) At the end f yur turn, yu may destry anther Demn ally yu cntrl. If yu d, Terestian deals shadw damage t target ppsing her r ally equal t the cst f that destryed Demn. If the surce f the Prtal trigger is destryed befre it reslved, it will use the last knwn infrmatin f that card frm play. Yu chse the rder f the cards put n the bttm f yur deck. Thane Kurdran Wildhammer, 6, Alliance, Ally Dwarf Warrir, Kurdran (1), 3 [Nature], 7 Health Prtectr When Kurdran enters play, put a 0 [Nature] / 1 [Health] Egg ally tken int play. At the start f yur turn, target Egg ally yu cntrl becmes a 6 [Melee] / 6 [Health] Gryphn Beast Mnster ally named Sky ree with Sky ree (1). Yu may target any Egg ally with Thane Kurdran s triggered pwers, including Egg allies put int play by ther cards. The mdifier setting that ally s ATK and Health will apply after all ther mdifiers with earlier timestamps except mdifiers that duble thse values, and will apply befre all ther mdifiers with later timestamps. Yu must chse a target fr the trigger, even if yu already cntrl an ally with Sky ree (1). Time-Shifted Dagger, 4, DrMaPrShL, Equipment 1H Weapn Dagger, Melee (1), 1 [Melee], 2 Strike When this weapn enters play, switch the ATK and [Health] f target ally this turn. 9 The switch takes place when the triggered pwer reslves. It applies in timestamp rder with all ther mdifiers affecting that ally s ATK and Health except fr mdifiers that duble thse values, which always apply last. Fr example, if yur 2 ATK/2 Health ally has an attachment giving him +2 / +3, when this trigger reslves, he will have 5 ATK/4 Health until the end f the turn. Venmus Wunds, 2, Rgue, Basic Ability Assassinatin Assassinatin Talent (Yu can t put Cmbat Talents r Subtlety Talents in yur deck.) Onging: At the end f yur turn, if yur her dealt cmbat damage t a her this turn, trigger each Pisn yu cntrl. T trigger thse cards means t generate their triggered effect, immediately, ignring their trigger cnditins.
