1 Ladybug Hill End of Year Classes & News At Ladybug, year end planning is a lot of fun! As I focus on planning 2019 classes, I always want to share the very best programs, classes, events and techniques I can find. This is year is very exciting as Janome has developed a complete series of classes for machines, new techniques from different Designers and creative sewing and embroidery from Sew4Home. As a Kimberbell Certified Shop, we can bring you the very latest Kimberbell events. As a WonderFil Boutique we can bring you the exclusive WonderFil classes. We re excited for 2019!!! Early Enrollment: Enroll in 2 programs or 2 classes and take $10 off the enrollment of each. Some exclusions apply. Demo December, Kimberbell and if enrollment includes a book. Mark your calendar for two Saturdays, in December (7 & 15) for our Christmas Make n Take gift classes! See pages.. 5 & 6. These will be both fun to make and new ideas for gift giving! 3 2019 Exclusive Kimberbell Club Projects Kimberbell Club Join us on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10-11:30 as we talk all things Kimberbell and machine embroidery! This is simply a lecture/demo style class with time for the best part is sharing your show & tell with your Kimberbell friends. Bring your own USB stick/drive and receive the exclusive monthly design by Kimberbell for FREE! We ll have a kit available for purchase to make at your leisure, or join us for the afternoon Kimberbell Embroidery Club session. For those attending the morning session who wish to have hands-on direction for the project. When do we meet? We ll meet on the 3rd Saturday shortly after the Kimberbell morning session. Bring your embroidery machine, lunch and enjoy Kimberbell Saturday at Ladybug!. At 1PM we ll begin the Kimberbell project presented in the 10AM session. What do I need to bring? Your USB file from the morning session for the project, your embroidery machine, hoop and basic embroidery supplies. What is the cost? Enrollment: $10 for all 12 sessions + the monthly kit presented in the 10AM session. Each project is designed to be able to complete in 5-10 hours. What is the Sew4Home Maker s Club? The Sew4Home Maker s Club projects are unique and the Club is exclusive to Janome owners at Ladybug Hill Quilts. Club 1 January 7, 10-4 Zippered Pouches in 3 sizes with custom embroidery The projects are designed to showcase features and accessories of Janome machines. The club will teach zipper application, embroidery, binding, cording, lining, applique and much more. We will have fabric and notion kits (where applicable) available for purchase. 8 New Owner Class Skill Series 1 Presser Foot Workbook Create Your Own Stitch Book Janome has designed a NEW 4 part series of owner workbooks which will be the foundation of our new 2019 owner classes. Class fee is FREE and included with purchase of your machine at LBHQ. The first in the series, the Presser Foot Workbook covers the 8 basic feet included with all machines. We will stitch out examples of each foot for the stitch book. New for 2019, the owner classes will include making your Stitch & Presser Foot Book. I purchased my sewing machine 3 years ago, Can I enroll? Yes, any owner who purchased their machine at LBHQ may enroll in our new 4-part class even if you have previously taken owner classes. I can guarantee you, there is still so much more one can learn in our classes. #808 What is the stitch book? Janome, Elna and Necchi machines all have wonderful feet and decorative stitches. Our class will combine stitches and feet using the stitch book example to stitch out a unique, creative and personal resource. Which class do I enroll for my machine? 10 New Owner Class MC15000 Janome MC15000V3 New Owners Class Series for 2019 Do you own the MC15000V3? Janome has re-designed the MC15000 workbook and it is an amazing resource. We love it and know it will be a fabulous resource for YOU! We re adding more creative fun. In addition to the workbook lessons, we are adding the construction of a stitch book. We will expand the format to include threads, stabilizer and needle information. Design your own. Be creative! I purchased my machine several years ago and have taken some classes already. 11 Most Requested Class Trip X Two Having a large stash is about shopping memories. It s a GOOD thing! Trip X Two is the perfect project to use lots of fabric. All of us have, so, now you can make a rug with the jelly roll and have an amazing rug for your home. The roll will make an area rug approximately 30in x 44in. 14 2019 Class Policies To assure that we offer the best educational experience possible, we have continued to evolve and improve our class policies over the years based on our experience and feedback of the many class attendees we have had. Please take a note of the following policies to make sure we have a mutual understanding. Classes and events always represent a commitment on our part to you and on your part to us. We make every effort to make sure classes are filled, go off as planned and that participants have a positive experience. Please verify your schedule before enrolling. We ask you to do this because we are no longer are able to refund, reschedule or transfer your enrollment if you should miss a class or session. There is a whole host of reasons for this policy and among them is that once you enroll, your spot is reserved and reserved only for you just like an airline reservation. Missed Class Sessions: To cover the missed information at the next class in the last 30 minutes. To secure your place in our class or event, payment must be made at the time of enrollment. You may enroll in person in the store or over the phone using a credit card at your convenience. If for any reason, a class must be rescheduled due to teacher illness, weather or emergency etc., our class policy shall be to reschedule. No refunds or store credits will be given. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, a store credit or a check refund will be given. In an effort to make the most of class time, please bring all supplies and any pre-work to class. Most classes require the purchase of a book or a pattern. This is required to stay within copyright requirements. You will receive a 10% discount on supplies and fabric purchased for your class and any other items recommended by the instructor and purchased on the day(s) of the class. Please arrive minutes before the class starts to set up your area; the store is open early on class days to accommodate set-up. Please make sure that your sewing machine is in good working order and that you are familiar with its operation. Bring your sewing machine instruction manual, power cord and foot pedal with you. Please do not bring children or an unpaid guests to class. Most classes concentrate on technique learning. Do not expect to finish your project in the class time allotment. In case of weather issues, teacher illness or an emergency affecting a class. When you enroll, please provide your DAY contact number, cell phone number and . We will contact you by all phone numbers and for weather updates. If we cannot reach you personally, a message will be left. Should you have any questions regarding a class, please call. Our voice mail system will also have weather updates. We follow D11 s weather delays and closure. When D11 schools are on a delay, we will delay opening depending on road conditions. Usually open between 11 and 12 as weather permits for those staff members who are driving to our location. If D11 is closed, we will cancel day and evening classes. If school was open but evening activities are cancelled, we will cancel evening classes. For our employees safety, we may elect to close early if we are experiencing severe weather. If classes are scheduled, we will contact students regarding cancellation.
