Advanced Components nternatonal s expandng. he company wll create 42 new manufacturng jobs and nvest $11.6 mllon to retroft and equp a faclty n Gateway. Somero Enterprses recently broke ground on a new 14,000 sq. ft. global headquarters and tranng faclty n South Fort Myers. he EDO orgnally helped Somero relocate from the Northeast around eght years ago. Staff toured Gartner s new buldng recently whle conductng an ncentve complance ste vst. hey are ahead of schedule on job creaton, and contnung to grow. Hertz has created 579 jobs, wth over 350 of them beng n Lee County. n November, they wll take occupancy of the new headquarters buldng n Estero and complete the relocaton of employees temporarly based n Coller County. hs month, the recrutment team has vsted Mnneapols, Columbus, Cleveland, and Calforna to generate leads. Mr. Farnsworth of the Economc Development Offce (EDO) gave an overvew on the hostng of nbound journalst Mchelle Nash Hoff. hey were able to tour a few of the key manufacturers and snce receved a featured artcle n ndustry Week. From November 11 th through November 13 th, EDO wll be hostng four journalsts who wrte for German language busness publcatons. LEARN (Lee Entrepreneural Assstance Resource Network) wll hold ts frst publc event on December 8th. LEARN brngs together multple agences to assst the small busness communty. A save the date wll be dstrbuted wth more nformaton. Future Horzon Councl meetngs wll present an educaton and workforcebased seres. Sarah Owen from Communty Foundaton wll be presentng n November. n February 2016, Dr. Jeff Albrtten wll dscuss newly ntated 2

Fnal canddate ntervews are schedules for January. V. OLD BUSNESS Horzon Foundaton Report- Dens Noah Mr. Noah thanked Denne Hamlton and B. Pat O Rourke for ther hard work as well as everyone for ther contrbutons. We have met or exceeded our goal for the ffteenth consecutve year. he foundaton has collectons and pledges of $417, versus a goal of $400, We surpassed last year s collectons of $407, Mr. Noah asked for Pacesetter contrbutons n order to kck off the new year wth $200,000 or more n contrbutons at the Annual Meetng. V. NEW BUSNESS V. Healthcare Challenges and Opportuntes: How echnology Can Help Mke Smth, Chef nformaton Offcer, Lee Memoral Health System o Mr. Smth spoke about current changes n the healthcare ndustry, the mpact they have on busnesses, and the potental for deployng technology to allevate some of the burden placed on prvate sector payors. Dr. Antonucc s a Dplomat wth the Amercan College of Physcan Executves and the Amercan Board of Obstetrcs and Gynecology as well as a Fellow wth the Amercan College of Obstetrcs and Gynecology. He s a member of the Amercan Fertlty Socety, Lee County Medcal Socety and Florda Medcal Socety. He was a foundng member of the Fort Myers magnarum and a foundng board member of the Lee ndependent Practce Assocaton. VCE CHAR Gary Grffn Gary Grffn served as Secretary of the Horzon Councl n Mr. Grffn has over 27 years of engneerng, estmatng and commercal project management experence specalzng n mechancal engneerng for commercal and nsttutonal facltes. Gary has served as Presdent and CEO for the past 18 years at B & Contractors, an employee owned, full servce specalty contractor located n Fort Myers, Florda. Gary s a current board member for the Lee County Publc School Foundaton, serves on the Unted Way board as well as the Chamber of Southwest Florda. He s an advocate of educaton and supports the development of our future workforce. REASURER Gray Davs Gray Davs,MBA, CPCU, AS, GBDS, CSFS, s the senor Vce Presdent and Agency Executve of BB& Oswald rppe and Company. Mr. Davs has been wth the company snce 2007 and has over 28 years of executve leadershp n the nsurance ndustry. Pror to enterng the nsurance feld, he served as a Major n the Unted States Marne Corps. Gray also serves as the Presdent of the Uncommon Frends Foundaton and serves on the Communty Advsory Board for Gulfshore Busness. SECREARY Danel Eveloff Danel Eveloff serves as Presdent of Ft. Myers and s responsble for all bankng operatons ncludng Consumer, Busness, Commercal and Prvate Wealth n Regons 14 branch offces throughout the market. Danel s a 5 tme Charman s Club wnner and also leads the West Florda Healthcare ntatve for both busness bankers and branch managers.snce arrvng n Ft.
