8 Megger GOOSE Cofigurator with Itegrated IEC61850 Testig RTMS Ehaced Features The Megger GOOSE Cofigurator provides easy to use tools for testig relays ad substatios usig the IEC protocol. The cofigurator allows relay test egieers ad techicias to import parameters from cofiguratio files i the SCL format ad use them to cofigure the SMRT test sets to subscribe to preselected GOOSE messages by assigig the data attributes from received GOOSE messages to the appropriate biary iputs. This provides both maual ad automatic testig of the relay usig RTMS. This allowed them to be operated as a sigle test set, which was the cotrolled by the STVI (they could just as easily bee cotrolled usig a laptop ruig RTMS). I the pre-fault This ovel testig approach allowed testig to be completed 81 Frequecy stage, a stable bus zoe coditio was simulated as show i Figure 2. After the pre-determied time period, a fault was i less tha a day whe traditioal testig methods would have typically take three days to complete. The ability to 85 Carrier or Pilot Wire ijected ad the time take to clear the fault was measured. Figure 2 shows a Zoe 1 fault that tripped i 12.5 ms. After the zoe timig tests were completed, breaker fail testig was performed usig seve stages ad the equipmet executed this without a hitch. simultaeously iject 16 currets allowed us to avoid the prologed process of sectioalizig the bus zoe ad ijectig three to six currets at a time to simulate all possible faults.
