This data acquisitio system ca be used to obtai the drivig motor s parameters of currets ad voltages at the same time. This system s hardware is based o electric vehicle s motor test bech i Beijig Istitute of Techology, ad combied with PXI00 data acquisitio card from ADLINK Compay. Visual c++ software is adopted as developmet tool. I this paper, the desig ad realizatio of the hardware ad software are preseted. Experimet results show that this system improves the efficiecy ad quality of testig task with high utility. Ad experimet data ca be obtaied accurately. 0 0 Published by Elsevier by Elsevier B.V. Itroductio From the begiig of this cetury, electric vehicle (EV) techology has bee accelerated i Chia []. The 008 Beijig Olympic Games ad the 00 Shaghai World Expo have accelerated the developmet further []. As oe of the most importat cores of EV, the characteristics of drivig motor ad its cotroller system have a sigificat ifluece for drivig performace of EV. So, more ad more test beches for EV drivig motor are costructed recetly. The traditioal test system by usig persos to write dow data o paper oe by oe ca t esure the parameter s record sychroously. It would affect the test quality ad accuracy, ad lead to error results especially for power or efficiecy calculatio. The automatic data acquisitio system, which takig computer ad moder test techology as its core, is researched ad established by authors. Compared with covetioal test system, it icreases the itegratio level of the test systems with flexible ad compact structure, shortes the developmet period, ad so o [3]. The most importat, its automated data acquisitio ad processig system would esure the data accuracy, reduce the staff labor time ad itesity, ad improve test efficiecy ad capability [4][5].. Costructio of Data Acquisitio System The data acquisitio system maily records the testig iformatio icludig drivig motor, motor s cotroller, ad other equipmet. Meawhile, it ca realize the pre-test calibratio, data storage ad proceedig, aalysis, waveform display, ad so o. The data acquisitio system is composed by hardware ad software. The system costructio diagram is show i Fig., where the voltage sesors ad curret sesors respectively test the DC voltage ad curret form battery simulator or battery some time, as well as the AC voltage ad curret betwee drivig motor ad its cotroller. The torque meter measures the torque ad speed sigals of drivig motor. Through the sigal coditioig circuit, all the sigals are coverted to be collected by the PXI00 acquisitio card. Fially the waveform of data ca be display i the computer (PC) graphically. Fig. System costructio diagram 3. Software Achievemet ad Methods Software is importat to the data acquisitio system. It ca sychroously collect ad process the characteristic parameters of the motor ad cotroller, meawhile display the test results. The software of

3 Sog Qiag ad Lv Cheguag / Physics Procedia 33 ( 0 ) this system is composed by may modules, such as the logi module, the iformatio registratio module, the chael calibratio module, the data acquisitio module, the graphic display module ad others. Each module achieves the fuctios ad algorithms through software, thus simplifyig the hardware resources. These modules, which ca ru sigly, are desiged idepedetly, but related o fuctio realizatio each other. The basic flow betwee the modules is show i Fig.. 4. Key techologies for data Acquisitio system 4. Coectio of VC++ with the Database A database should be established firstly i order to coect with VC++ software. The etity relatioship of the database based o ACCESS is show i Fig.3. The commo database iterfaces i the curret Widows Operatio system are listed as follows: ODBC (Ope Database Coectivity), MFC (Microsoft Foudatio Classes), ODBC classes, DAO (Data Access Objects), RDO (Remote Data Objects), OLE DB (Object Likig Embeddig Database), ADO (ActiveX Data Objects). Compared with other iterface techology, the ADO iterface techology has the followig advatages: ease to use, supportig ay kid of the OLE DB data sever, operatig ay OLE DB data source, expasibility, etc [6]. There are may calibratio methods such as offlie steady state, olie steady state, automatic optimizatio, the latest trasiet state optimizatio, ad so o. The calibratio method adopted i this paper is the least-square (LS) method for liear fittig with limited umber of poits. The calibratio iterface of the system is show i Fig.6. Durig calibratio, the parameters of drivig motor ca be moitored quatitatively o computer by comparig with other more precise istrumets. Through the calculatio procedures i VC++ software program, the calibratio ca be fiished. For least-square method, y k x b is chose as the liear regressio equatio. The key is to fid the optimal k ad b based o the measured data. It is assumed that the deviatio d betwee y ad k x b i the same poit x ca be calculated as follow. This LS method ca also be simplified to be liear calibratio by oly usig two poits to calibratio as follow. y y k (4) x x b y k x (5) This: x is measure value of first piot; x is measure value of secod poit; y is calibratio value of first piot; y is calibratio value of secod piot. d i [ y i b k x ] i (3) 4.3 Data Acquisitio ad Waveform Display I order to guaratee the drivig motor s sigals of voltage ad curret ca be obtaied quickly ad sychroously, the Direct Memory Address (DMA) techology is used i this data acquisitio system. Durig DMA workig mode, the bus is maaged directly by DMA cotroller. So, the system also sets a process about the trasfer of the bus cotrol betwee DMA cotroller ad CPU [7]. Before DMA mode workig, CPU hads over the cotrol of the bus to DMA cotroller, ad after the trasfer, the DMA cotroller returs the cotrol of the bus to CPU. The DGraph cotrol uit provided by the data acquisitio card producer is used to show waveform display. But this cotrol uit ca oly display the experimetal data i static state. I order to display the figures dyamically, the DGraph cotrol uit ad the OTimer are worked together i the software program of VC Experimet A iductio motor that is used i EV is tested o test bech. Ad the data acquisitio system which is desiged i this paper is applied. After calibratio, two Hall voltage sesors are used to measure the DC voltage form battery simulator ad the AC voltage betwee drivig motor ad its cotroller. At the same time, two curret sesors are also used to test the curret form battery simulator ad the curret betwee drivig motor ad its cotroller. Whe the motor is tested, the sigal s iformatio of the drivig motor system is trasferred to computer after through coditioig circuit ad other hardware system, ad processed by data acquisitio software. Whe the motor is tested at 500r/mi, ad the load torque is 347.8Nm, the parameters of DC curret ad DC voltage from battery simulator, ad the AC curret ad AC voltage from motor cotroller are obtaied by usig the desiged data acquisitio system. Fig.7 shows these dyamic waveforms.

Coclusio I this paper, a data acquisitio system is desiged, ad its costructio of software ad hardware is demostrated briefly. Some key techologies are explaied. By usig ADO iterface techology, the database is established. It ca register the iformatio of the tested motor, ad iquire the experimetal records. The least-square method is utilized to calibrate the system. Ad dyamic waveform display is realized by programmig DGraph cotrol uit ad the OTimer workig together. Experimet results show its utility. This system will reduce the staff labor time ad itesity, ad improve test efficiecy ad capability.
