The ew uits feature a redesiged case, back-stad, ad 6 cell battery compartmet with separate fuse access. All istrumets are over-moulded for icreased protectio ad achieve a IP54 weatherproof ratig. THREE TERMINAL CONNECTION (NEW) Three termial measuremet permits the coectio of all three test leads for A, B ad E (or Tip, Rig ad Groud). The measuremet pair is selected from the A-B-E (T-R-G) butto o the frot pael. (New). Selectio is cofirmed i the display. No discoectio of test leads to measure idividual pairs are required. THE MIT480/2 RANGE (FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS, REFER TO THE MIT480 DATASHEET) The rage cosists of two istrumets: MIT481/2 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V* + Storage MIT485/2 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V* + Storage + Dowload + recharge ready * Gated access prevets accidetal selectio INSULATION RESISTANCE TESTING: The feedback cotrolled isulatio test voltage is ow accurate to +2% -0% compared to the origial +20%, providig a more accurate test voltage without the risk of over-voltage damage to circuits. A variable rage allows the exact test voltage to be selected from 10 V up to 500 V. FEATURES INCLUDE: Test voltages (New) - 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, ad 500 V. Variable test voltage (New) - Adjustable test voltage from 10 V to 500 V. 2% test voltage accuracy - The output test voltage is maitaied withi the tolerace or -0% +2% +2 V. PASS/FAIL ( / ) idicatio (New) - PASS or FAIL ( / ) displayed depedig o threshold voltage. Stabilized test voltage - The voltage is feedback cotrolled to esure it remais withi specificatio throughout the full test rage. Timed testig - Automatically test to a time limit. Silicoe leads - High quality flexible silicoe test leads are comfortable to use ad prevet measuremet errors o GΩ rages above 5 GΩ. Test ihibit - Prevets testig if voltages i excess of 25, 30, 50, 75 or 100 V (set by the user) are detected whe makig isulatio tests. Default is 50 V. Isulatio buzzer - The buzzer ca be set to buzz if the isulatio resistace is above a user adjustable limit, set i the Setup meu. Test Lock - Holds isulatio test o cotiuously. * Gated access prevets accidetal selectio. Test rages exted from 10 GΩ to 100 GΩ depedig o test voltage as below: 50 Volts up to 10 GΩ 100 Volts up to 20 GΩ 250 Volts up to 50 GΩ 500 Volts up to 100 GΩ CONTINUITY (RESISTANCE) TESTING Sigle resistace rage (New) - Oe rage fully automatic from 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ. 200 ma or 20 ma - Either 200 ma or 20 ma cotiuity test currets are available. 20 ma test curret will cosiderably icrease battery life. Buzzer limit - Cotiuity buzzer limit alarm provides adjustmet of the maximum resistace the cotiuity buzzer souds. This is adjustable from 1 Ω to 200 Ω i 12 steps. Differetial measuremet result display OTHER FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES Weatherproof - Every tester is sealed to IP54, providig a weatherproof case to reduce the chaces of water igress, icludig the battery ad fuse compartmet. Tough housig - Rubber over mouldig combies the tough shock absorbig outer protectio with excellet grip, o a strog modified ABS housig, providig a almost idestructible case. Batteries - Battery requiremets are 6 AA batteries of either stadard Alkalie or Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable type, providig a miimum of 3000 isulatio tests at 500 V. VARIABLE INSULATION VOLTAGE TESTER * The variable mode provides a uique solutio for awkward isulatio voltage measuremet applicatios. The rage optio allows a isulatio test voltage from 10 V to 500 V i 1 V steps. STORAGE AND DOWNLOADING RESULTS Revised Bluetooth ad pairig procedures have made the MIT480/2s far easier to pair ad dowload data.* The test results are dowloaded to a CSV file which ca the be opeed as a Excel spreadsheet.*
