Programmig usig a PC or HART compatible commuicator The ad MSP900GH are HART compatible ad may be accessed remotely o the 2 wire loop. Usig Mobrey H-Cof401, the user ca access all set-up ad diagostic parameters for iterrogatio or chage. Alteratively, uiversal HART programmig tools loaded with the trasmitter Device Descriptio (from the HART foudatio CD) may be used. If the DD is ot loaded, the user ca still access ad chage some parameters usig uiversal ad some commo practice commads.

3 Operatio Ultrasoic pulses trasmitted from the trasmitter face are reflected from the surface of the liquid ad are received back by the same trasmitter. Measuremet of the time delay betwee the trasmit ad the receive sigals eables the microprocessor cotrolled electroics to calculate distace to the liquid level. Oce the trasmitter is programmed with the bottom referece of the applicatio - usually the bottom of the tak - the liquid depth is calculated. The microprocessor cotrols the loop curret to give a 4-20mA output sigal proportioal to the level, with the liquid level readig also available o the LCD display iside the eclosure. All trasmitters have itegral temperature compesatio to maitai accuracy across the operatig temperature rage. 4 MSP900GH Itrisically Accessories Safe The MSP900GH level trasmitter is itrisically safe certified for use i hazardous areas. Power must be supplied through a suitable I.S. barrier. Hart digital commuicatios are also provided. With a PVDF wetside, the MSP900GH ca be used i most hazardous ad corrosive applicatios. The MSP900GH may be used to measure distace, level or calculate volume or flow i a ope chael accordig to several pre-programmed laws:- MSP-RTP remote temperature probe The MSP-RTP probe is desiged to be used with the ad MSP900GH trasmitters i applicatios where fast ullage temperature chages or urepresetative trasmitter temperatures are a problem. The probe is simply istalled i the vessel ullage space or i a shaded area of a ope chael ad wired back to the trasmitter usig the 5m / 16ft of cable provided.
