The VIP ENERGY-485 is supported by Elcotrol Eergy's VIPLINK ad VIPVIEW software ad etwork system. The "widows" based PC software combies sophisticated features ad a high quality graphic user iterface with simple operatio. The JBUS/MODBUS commuicatio protocol via the stadard ca accomodate up to 247 meters o a sigle etwork via sigal repeaters. Reliable ad safe operatio is assured by the use of opto-isolated commuicatio ports ad galvaically isolated voltage ad curret iputs exceedig the requiremets of all relevat Europea Stadards. This allows the -485 etworks to operate i highly aggressive eviromets where electrical oise ad overvoltage coditios arise. EXTERNL CONNECTIONS ND SET-UP OF THE OPTION The -485 ca be coected to a PC via a sigle pair shielded cable with maximum legth of 200 mt. Other istrumets or devices ca be coected to the same lie (-485 or -485 sigal repeaters) for up to 3 uits. dditioal groups of 32 uits ca be added by meas of the sigal repeaters for a maximum of up to 247 VIP ENERGY-485s. Every -485 is idividualised by its ow address which ca be cofigured i the field by meas of the keyboard. The -485 coectio to the etwork is via a shielded sigle pair cable coected to the termials located i the optios area of the istrumet.
