The MIT2500 offers both fixed rage voltages of 50 V, 100V, 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V ad 2500 V, as well as a variable rage that allows ay voltage betwee 50 V ad 2500 V to be dialled i. This is supported by the ew test voltage feedback cotrol, which maitais the output test voltage to withi 2% of the selected rage, eve whe uder test. The MIT2500 uses the redesiged case, back-stad, ad 6 cell battery compartmet, as well as icorporatig a Guard termial to reduce surface trackig currets that reduce accuracy at higher voltages. All istrumets are over-moulded for icreased protectio ad achieve a IP54 weatherproof ratig INSULATION RESISTANCE TESTING The feedback cotrolled isulatio test voltage is ow accurate to +2% -0% compared to the origial +20%, providig a more accurate test voltage without the risk of over-voltage damage to circuits. A variable rage allows the exact test voltage to be selected from 50 V to 999 V i 1 V steps, (1KV to 2.5KV i 10 V steps) providig 1100 test voltage optios. The rage optio allows a isulatio test voltage from 50 V to 999 V i 1 V steps, 1.0 KV to 2.5 KV i 10 V steps. CONTINUITY (RESISTANCE) TESTING Sigle resistace rage (New) - Oe rage fully automatic from 0.01 Ω to 1.0 MΩ. Auto test curret selectio - Automatically uses the preferred test curret for the load resistace uder test. Bi-directioal testig (New) - Optio for automatic bi-directioal testig without recoectig leads. Fast respose time (New) - Respose time o cotact buzzer has bee reduced 200 ma or 20 ma - Either 200 ma or 20 ma cotiuity test currets are available. 20 ma test curret will cosiderably icrease battery life. Lead ull - Lead resistace compesatio (NULL) operates up to 10 Ω of resistace. Buzzer - ON/OFF selected by simple push butto. Buzzer limit - Cotiuity buzzer limit alarm provides adjustmet of the maximum resistace the cotiuity buzzer souds. This is adjustable from 1 Ω to 200 Ω i 12 steps. Coectio of the guard termial o certai applicatios provides a retur path for parallel leakage currets that could otherwise create sigificat errors i the isulatio measuremet. This is especially so for surface cotamiatio of equipmet or cables. For voltages of 1000 V ad above, or expected isulatio values over 100 MΩ the guard termial should be cosidered to reduce measuremet error. DISPLAY The display offers a combiatio of Aalogue arc ad a dual digital readout: Aalogue arc: Full display width aalogue arc. Arc display shows essetial charge ad discharge characteristics ot visible o a digital display. Sigle poiter eedle respose has a similar respose to a movig coil meter.
