3 Sea-Link Advanced Analysis (S2A) NRL s Marine Dmain Awareness platfrm S2A is a multiple intelligence (multi- INT) fusin engine, track database, and web-brwser accessible map Maintains 150K active tracks daily. S2A applies cre fusin capabilities that de-clutters the intelligence analyst s wrkspace by prviding: S2A Users Tasking analytics (query widgets) Data aggregatin Over 1,000 data surces (AIS, MLEIN, pen-surce internet, etc.) Majr data categries: vessel psitins, schedules, and metadata Autmated track fusin and database Alerting (Latency test in Kent Island, MD reprted minutes t reprt alerts n new data) Unclassified S2A will be fully accessible end f FY18. 6 Marine Mammal Tracks in S2A Karle's Fellwship Prject FY18/19 Overview Prject aim: Develp detectin, fusin, and tracking algrithms based n available marine mammal sensr data. This will enhance the detectin f marine mammal lcatins and patterns, and prvide tracking f marine mammals in S2A alng with maritime bjects Purpse: T prvide a merged peratinal picture between mammals and vessels in rder t predict interactins. Future applicatins may include ship strike mitigatin and prvide autmatic reprting f illegal, unreprted, and unregulated (IUU) vessels suspected f bycatch. Technical apprach: Explre fusin methds f prly cnditined, time ut-f-phase data int a fused prduct, and attempt t prvide accurate predictin f marine mammals. This entails drawing n areas f deep learning.

An Expectatin Maximizatin (EM) algrithm is then applied t predict hidden state and prjected directin.
