If he power supply is generaed by a single phase recifier use a µf/40v capacior; if pulse volage is generaed by a hree phase recifier, connec a 4700 µf capacior (see 11 ). Connec he reference signal o he main elecronic conrol by means of shielded and wised cables. Pay aenion: he negaive and he posiive poles mus no be exchanged each oher. Shield he wirings o avoid elecromagneic noise (EMC), connecing he shield o noiseless earh (TE), see 13. I is suiable o keep he driver and is cables far from any elecromagneic radiaion source (like cables where high currens flow, elecric moors, ransformers, relays, solenoids, porable radioransmier, ec.). The 12 VDC elecric volage supply is allowed only afer evaluaion of he performances required from he proporional valves, and however afer check wih our echnical office. 4.2 Reference signal, see 5. The elecronic driver is designed o receive a volage reference signal according o he following opions: poeniomeers mouned exernally and wired according o he applicaion diagrams. exernal reference signals generaed by PLC, see 11. volage from 0 o 10V curren from 0 o 20 ma (only wih opion /RR). 4.3 Monior signal This volage oupu signal allows o measure he curren supplied o he coil, read by a volmeer beween he es poin M and pin 2 (see 9 ). Reading scale is 1 mv = 10 ma (ex.: if he volage signal is 70 mv, coil curren is 700 ma). To visualize he signals use volmeers wih impedance >10 KΩ. 4.4 Se code Basic calibraion of he elecronic driver is facory pre-se, according o he proporional valve i has o be coupled wih. These pre-calibraions are idenified by a sandard number in he model code as follows: 1 = RZGO (KZGO) 2 = RZMO, AG*ZO, LI*ZO 3 = DHZO, DKZOR 4 = DPZO-A-*5 6 = QV*ZO(R), LEQZO 4.5 Calibraions available o he user, see 7, 8, 9, 11. Scale The relaion beween driving curren and reference signal can be regulaed wih he Scale adjusmen. Bias (dead band) Regulaion of dead band adjuss he hydraulic zero of he valve (saring posiion adjusmen) o he corresponding elecrical zero. The elecronic card is facory pre-se for he valve i is coupled wih, according o he se code (see secion 4.4). An oupu curren is obained when he inpu volage is 100 mv or greaer. Ramps see 7, 9. The inernal ramp generaor circui convers a sep inpu signal ino a slowly increasing oupu signal (solenoid curren). The rise/fall ime of he curren is se via inernal poeniomeer P1 up o a max. ime of 10 sec. for 0-10V of reference signal. The opion /RR provides dissimmerical ramps, ramp up is se via P1 poeniomeer and ramp down is se via P2. 4 6 INSTALLATION AND START-UP I is advisable o perform calibraion procedures in he order given below: 6.1 Warning Never inser or remove he driver while he elecronic sysem is powered on. Proec he regulaor on power line wih an exernal 2A fuse. Refer o 9 o idenify componens menioned in calibraion procedures. The E-MI-AC elecronic drivers are designed o work in open loop sysem, where he coupled proporional valve is no required o work a is limis. 7 RAMPS Valve opening P1 P2 /RR OPTION UP AND DOWN DISSYMMETRICAL RAMP GENERATOR 6.2 Sar-up Facory pre-se adjusmens migh no mee he requiremens desired for he specific applicaion. Performances can be opimized by on-sie re-adjusmens of Bias, Scale and Ramps poeniomeers, in sequence. Remove he cover and connec he elecronic driver according o he desired connecion diagram, see 5. For double solenoid valves wo elecronic drivers ype E-MI-AC-01F/7 mus be used conneced as shown in 5. Sar-up insrucions are he same for each driver. On he firs driver wo cable clamps mus be mouned, one for he exernal wirings and one o give power and signal o he second driver which is equipped wih one cable clamp and one blind plug. A differenial volage signal -10 V +10 V mus be supplied o he firs driver. Noe ha he firs driver will work wih signal from 0 o 10V while he second driver will work wih signal from 0 o -10 V. The curren supplied o he coil can be measured by a volmeer conneced beween pins M and 2 of he screw erminal. The reading range will be: l[ma]=10xv[mv] (for example reading 70 mv he curren in he coil will be 7001mA). Bias adjusmen (dead band compensaion) see 8, 9. Supply elecrical power o he driver; supply a reference signal volage = 0,1 VDC. Gradually urn he P4 bias poeniomeer unil a movemen of he conrolled acuaor is obained. Turn in he opposie direcion unil he acuaor is sopped. Scale adjusmen, see 8, 9. Supply max. curren reference signal; check if he curren in he coil reaches he max. value desired, urning P3 clockwise (see he regulaion curve of he employed valve used). Ramps see 7, 9. 5 10 IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS ELETTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY Aos elecronic drivers and proporional valves are designed according o he 2004/108/CE Direcive (Elecromagneic Compaibiliy) and according o EN (Emission) and EN (Immuniy) sandards. The elecromagneic compaibiliy of elecronic drivers is valid only for wirings realized according o he ypical elecric connecions shown in his echnical able. The device mus be verified on he machine because he magneic field may be differen from he es condiions. SAFETY The elecrical signals (for example reference signals, feedback and enable signal) of elecronic drivers mus no be used o realize safey condiions of he machine. This is in accordance wih he provisions of european direcives (Safey requiremens of fluid echnology sysems and componens-hydraulics, EN 982). The calibraions 3B and 4B allow he coupling wih single solenoid valves wih wo exernal posiions. 4.5 Calibraions available o he user, see 7, 9, 10, 11. Scale The relaion beween driving curren and reference signal can be regulaed wih he Scale adjusmen. For single solenoid valves wih wo exernal operaing posiions, he reference signal is ± 5V (calibraion codes 3B and 4B). Separae Scale poeniomeers P3 and P4 for solenoids S1 and S2 enable he elecronic card o be se for differen oupu currens, obaining differenial hydraulic operaions. Bias (dead band) Regulaion of dead band adjuss he hydraulic zero of he valve (saring posiion adjusmen) o a minimum signal of 200 mv. The elecronic card is facory pre-se for he valve i is coupled wih, according o he se code (see secion 4.4). E-BM-AC-05F/* driver for double solenoid are equipped wih an inernal channel selecor enabling he relevan channel wih inpu reference volage signal greaer han ± 200 mv and supplying he bias curren se by fron panel Bias poeniomeners P1 and P2 for each solenoid. For drivers ype E-BM-AC-01F wih calibraion codes 3B and 4B here is no hreshold and he bias is used for he adjusmen of he cenral posiion of he valve. Ramps see 7, 9. The inernal ramp generaor circui convers a sep inpu signal ino a slowly increasing oupu signal (solenoid curren). The rise/fall ime of he curren is se via poeniomeers on fron panel up o a max. ime of 10 sec. for 0-100% of reference signal. The opion /RR allows up and down dissymerical ramps for each solenoid. The elecrical connecion is made on he clamps of he proper UNDECAL ype E-K-11B socke, equipped wih anivibraing spring. 6.2 Sar-up Facory pre-se adjusmens migh no mee he requiremens desired for he specific applicaion. Performances can be opimized by on-sie re-adjusmens of Bias, Scale and ramps poeniomeers, in sequence. Connec he elecronic driver according o he desired connecion diagram, (see 5, 14, 15). The curren supplied o he coil can be measured by a volmeer conneced beween he es poins on he fron panel. The reading range will be: l[ma] = V[mV]. Bias adjusmen (dead band compensaion), see 9, 10, 11. For E-BM-AC-01F and E-BM-AC-11F: supply a reference signal volage R1 = +0,2 VDC; urn clockwise he poeniomeer P1 for solenoid S1 unil he movemen of he conrolled acuaor is obained. urn he poeniomeer P1 in he opposie direcion unil he acuaor is sopped. for version E-BM-AC-011F repea he operaion and supply a reference signal volage R2 = +0,2 VDC by he poeniomeer P2. 28 6 MAIN SOFTWARE PARAMETER SETTINGS The following is a brief descripion of he main seings and feaures of E-MI-AS drivers. For a deailed descripions of all available seings, wirings and insallaion procedures, please refer o he programming manuals E-MAN-MI-AS included in he E-SW-PS Dvd (see secion 5) 6.1, Scale, Bias & Threshold curren Scale Bias Solenoid regulaion 6.1 Scale Scale funcion allows o se he maximum curren supplied o he solenoid, corresponding o he max valve regulaion, a maximum reference signal value. This regulaion allows o adap he maximum curren supplied from he driver o he specific nominal curren of he proporional valves o which he driver is coupled; i is also usefull o reduce he maximum valve regulaion in fron of maximum reference signal. Threshold Bias reference 6.2 Bias and Threshold Proporional valves may be provided wih a dead band in he hydraulic regulaion corresponding o heir swich-off saus. This dead band disconinuiy in he valve s regulaion can be compensaed by acivaing he Bias funcion, which adds a fixed prese Bias value o he reference signal (exernal inpu or inernally generaed). The Bias funcion is acivaed when he reference signal overcome he Threshold value, prese ino he driver. The Bias seing allows o calibrae he Bias curren supplied o he solenoid of he specific proporional valve o which he driver is coupled. The Threshold seing is useful o avoid undesired valve regulaion a zero reference signal when elecric noise is presen on he analog inpu signal: smaller hreshold reduces he reference signal dead band, greaer values are less affeced by elecric noise presence. 32 6 MAIN SOFTWARE PARAMETER SETTINGS The following is a brief descripion of he main seings and feaures of E-BM-AS drivers. For a deailed descripions of all available seings, wirings and insallaion procedures, please refer o he programming manual E-MAN-BM-AS included in he E-SW-PS Dvd programming sofware(see secion 5) 6.1 Scale Scale funcion allows o se he maximum curren supplied o he solenoid, corresponding o he max valve regulaion, a maximum reference signal value. This regulaion allows o adap he maximum curren supplied from he driver o he specific nominal curren of he proporional valves o which he driver is coupled; i is also useful o reduce he maximum valve regulaion in fron of maximum reference signal. For double solenoid valves wo differen Scale regulaions are available : ScaleA for posiive reference signal and ScaleB for negaive reference signal 6.2 Bias and Threshold Proporional valves may be provided wih a dead band in he hydraulic regulaion corresponding o heir swich-off saus. This dead band disconinuiy in he valve s regulaion can be compensaed by acivaing he Bias funcion, which adds a fixed prese Bias value o he reference signal (exernal inpu or inernally generaed). The Bias funcion is acivaed when he reference signal overcome he Threshold value, prese ino he driver. The Bias seing allows o calibrae he Bias curren supplied o he solenoid of he specific proporional valve o which he driver is coupled. 38 8 FRONT PANEL DESCRIPTION 8.1 Keyboard and display On he Z-ME-KZ fron panel are available 4 funcion keys (ESC, ENT, UP, DWN), and a numeric display (4 digis plus sign) o allow he user o view and change he conroller s parameers as well as o display diagnosic messages. The following parameers can be accessed (viewed or changed) via corresponding menu srucure: - command and acual values - analog inpu / oupu values - digial inpu / oupu saus - posiion sensor indicaion - force / pressure sensor indicaion Parameer s changes of he configuraion, conrol gains, rigger condiions, inernal cycle, faul monioring are no allowed via fron panel operaions. 8.2 LED indicaion The led indicaions are used o display he inernal saus (Acive, OK) of he conroller or he saus of he digial IO of he Z-ME-KZ. For each inpu by he Z-SW sofware, i is possible o se he polariy and o mach a proper condiion wihin he following: - sar/sop/swich-over command in case of inernal reference generaion (see 3.2) - specific operaive command for hydraulic axis mode (referencing mode, jog mode, auomaic mode) - jog command - disable pressure / force alernaed conrol Digial oupu signals (DO1 - DO7) The 7 digial oupus can be used o generae digial signals useful o he sysem synchronizaion and for monioring purpose. The digial oupus can be configured in polariy and all he channels can be independenly programmed by he Z-SW sofware. Typically he digial oupus are used o: - se alarm condiion relaed wih he hydraulic axis working phase - idenify a paricular working condiion o synchronize oher machine funcionaliies - signal arge posiion reached - signal pressure / force conrol acive - signal racking error CANopen communicaion signals (only for /BC opion) For conrollers wih CANopen communicaion inerface (only for /BC opion), he connecions are locaed on he rear connecor: pin f28 (CAN_GND), pin f30 (CAN_L) and pin f32 (CAN_H). 12 PROGRAMMING DEVICES The funcional parameers of digial conrollers, like inernal reference generaion or conroller dynamics, can be easily se and opimized wih he Aos Z-SW programming sofware, available in hree differen versions according o he driver s communicaion inerface: Z-SW-PS (Serial), Z-SW-BC (CANopen) and Z-SW-BP (PROFIBUS DP). A proper connecion is required beween he PC and he elecronic conroller communicaion por: for a more deailed descripion of sofware inerface, PC requiremens, adapers, cables and erminaors, please refer o echnical able G500. Digial conrollers wih fieldbus communicaion inerface (-BC and -BP) can be managed in real-ime by he machine conrol uni; i is required o implemen in he machine conrol he sandard communicaion as described in he user manuals supplied wih he relevan programming sofware; please conac Aos echnical office for assisance.
